I Wrote a Novel, Now What? Episode 2
I did it, guys! I did more work on my novel. Please bear with the camera lighting/technicalities for this one. My camera died this morning and I had to use Michaela’s, which was all sorts of interesting. However, if you bear with the weird sound in this video, there is a super cute surprise at the end. Like. Seriously. Super cute. Also, like, you know. I do novel stuff and talk about how I’m going to fix some of the weird tics in my first draft writing.

October 2016 Wrap Up
I am in love with this video for several reasons. The first is that October was a seriously weird reading month, so the books I read are all over the place and only like one of them was good. I think it was so good that it leeched all the potential for the rest of the month. Also, it’s the first time I’ve DNFed something in a really long time. Then there is the fact that I begin to slowly lose my mind as the video goes along. Anyways. Uh. Enjoy?

Betwixt the Books Discuss! Prequels and Reading Order
Michaela and I are back with another Betwixt the Books Discuss! This one is all about prequel stories and novels, how you’re supposed to figure out the reading order kerfuffle they cause, and also I complain about the recent swath of YA prequel novellas coming out and whether they’re damaging the genre or not (specific references: Jodi Meadows’ Orphan Queen, Cassandra Clare, and Victoria Aveyard). Michaela also discusses the Hannibal book series and the Chronicles of Narnia.

Autumn Reading Tag | Betwixt the Books
LOOK. MICHAELA AND I MADE A VIDEO TOGETHER! We were tagged by the lovely Amanda Center to do this tag, literally at the moment when Michaela and I were searching for something to do as our first #bibliomansion video. Clearly, Amanda is tuned in to our thoughts. Check out this video for some great horror recommendations as well as a sneak peek into some upcoming Betwixt the Books and Bibliomancy for Beginners plans!

I Wrote a Novel, Now What? Episode 1
This is part of a new series I’m going to be doing intermittently as I work on my lately finished novel. Basically, I’ll film an episode when I actually do some work. This is as much to talk to you about it as it is to hold me accountable.

Review: Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake
I’ll be honest – I was hoping for an awesome review here, but that’s not what I’ve got. Seriously, I thought this book was going to be AMAZING. It had such a dark premise, such an interesting wealth of ideas … I loved the concept. I still love the concept. And I love the characters and the world and Kendare writes wonderfully. The problem is the plot, and how mangled it got throughout the story. Sigh. Watch for more on why I was so sad!

MAJOR Betwixt the Book UPDATE #bibliomansion
Okay, so, it’s not THAT much of a secret that Michaela and I have been working on moving in with each other for a while. HOWEVER, in case this is the first you’re hearing about it, it finally happened last Tuesday! I’ve been focused on getting moved in, but we’re getting ready to get this show on the road! My computer is still without some essential parts, so editing is difficult, but hopefully the piece (my battery) should be here by the end of this week! Here’s to moving on up!

September 2016 Wrap Up (FTN)
September was a pretty dismal month for me, reading wise. It was also pretty dismal, life wise.I talk about where I was last week very briefly as well. HOWEVER, there is also some neat news for the coming videos (hint: scenery change!), which will also lead to (hopefully) a better schedule of joint videos for me and Michaela. ANYWAYS. Here’s this quick video!

Bibliomancy for Beginners Season 4 Episode 6: The 13th and 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear by Walter Moers
FINALLY. This is really happening. We swear. This is the final episode of the regularly scheduled (haha) season 4 of Bibliomancy for Beginners. (Sort of.) Now that school is over and our lives are different, we’re going to be trying to strike up a new rhythm. For now, however, you can watch this episode which will be a lot of me yelling at Taylor for making us read this intelligent monstrosity of a waste of my time.

Review + Rant: Arcana Rising by Kresley Cole
Today’s review is spoiler free, but the rant is not. I manage to keep my review pretty even, but just … the ending of this book, guys. It touches on a serious pet peeve of mine too much NOT to talk about it. I love this series in general, and I think that Kresley Cole has done a fabulous job writing it but … I’m confused now. I may need to retract all these words when the next book comes out, but I also won’t be chomping at the bit to read it after this either.
