Lay Them to Rest: 5 Star True Crime | Betwixt the Books Reviews
This was not the review we planned, but we were so struck with this cover (and the need to read anything but romance) that we changed our review schedule for this. Wow, are we so glad we did. We just cannot believe how great this was as an exemplar of the true crime genre. Laurah Norton of the Fall Line podcast has raised the bar.

Not your typical rocker romance | Under Your Spell ARC Review
Sometimes I feel like once I’ve reader one rock star romance, I’ve read them all … and then this book came along. This is a hilarious, sweet, family-focused novel that makes you laugh out loud and feel fuzzy things. I can’t wait to tell you about it.

I’m irritated | Right Where We Left Us ARC Review
I wanted to read this book in one sitting. I almost bailed on a friend to do so. And yet, the plot itself was so extremely unsatisfying. Second chance romances should not be like this – and if you need to read the first book before you head into this one, I should be told!

These tropes again? | Triple Sec ARC Review
I was super stoked to read another poly romance after the interesting discussion Michaela and I had after one of our last buddy reads, but this certainly did not go entirely as I wanted … but kind of how I expected? This review is part book talk, part “why are these the poly tropes that keep happening” discussion. Hope you like it!

Stop with the sad romances | Love at First Book ARC Review
This is an ARC review because I read an ARC, not because the review is actually pre-release. This is actually out, it just seemed so cute I didn’t want to miss reading and reviewing it! However, actually there is some illness and sadness in this Irish getaway and we’re going to talk about it so you don’t end as surprised as I was.

Armchair travel anyone? | The Paradise Problem ARC Review
I really love Christina Lauren books, and I’ve read quite a few of them. When I saw they had a new one out, I couldn’t wait to read it. It wasn’t my favorite, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t good. You just have to get past that beginning…

Blood on the Tide by Katee Robert ARC Review | Betwixt the Books Reviews
Wherein Michaela and I review the second book in the Crimson Sails series by Katee Robert … Spoiler Alert: we definitely liked it better than the first book but that isn’t saying much.

Reading Round Table | Apparently April Means we Read Orange Books
Apologies for this being a day late, but enjoy Michaela and I bringing the lovely Josh from Literary Gladiators to our channel, as well as a return of Erica to discuss some of the books we have been reading lately.

This caused a crisis | Funny Story Emily Henry ARC Review
I love Emily Henry’s last two books, but this one caused a crisis. It just wasn’t as good as the last two, but then am I rating it poorly because it isn’t a good book or it isn’t up to her standards? Hopefully I’ll be able to explain myself.
