Playlist Mania: My Fangirl Crushing on Olly Murs

Told you I'd be back with more madness from my corner of the world. Yes, yes - run for cover! Do it already! Now! Or else....
Or else be drawn into my latest fangirl crush! Okay, I admit I am 30 years old, so no longer 'supposed' to fangirl crush anyone. I remember my days of going totally, maddeningly bonkers over The Backstreet Boys and Boyzone... Man, those were the days! I had all their albums, knew all their songs by heart, could sing them in my sleep, too, probably.
And I haven'...

Have you failed your readers?

Lol - strange to find me posting on a Monday, eh? I'm asking myself the same question...and I'll give you the answer in a few paragraphs (bear with me).
I remember I used to post every Monday, and every day of the work week, for that matter. When did this stop? Sometime about a year or a little more ago (I recall my last Random Thoughts Monday posting because I upped the post late. We'd needed to take kiddo to the dentist, and on the way there, we blew a tyre on the car. W...

#Free prequels of the #Eternelles series by @ZeeMonodee & @Natalie_g_owens for #SnippetSunday

Hope you're all doing good! By now ye all know my bestie, Natalie G. Owens, and I have co-written a paranormal/urban fantasy series titled Eternelles . I've been featuring excerpts of Book1, Inescapable, here on previous Sundays.
But Nat and I have got news for you! Did you know we wrote prequels to this series? Each of us did one, for our respective character.
Adrasteia, my prequel, tells of the moment when the life of Adrasteia 'Adri' Dionysios, an immortal brought up on M...

Anyhow, what is this meme? My Sexy Saturday. Every Saturday, sign up to post 7 words, 7 sentences, or 7 sentences, from your WIP or published work. The...

Someone from Adri's past? From INESCAPABLE Bk1 of #Eternelles #pararom #snippetsunday

It's Mother's Day today in Mauritius, and lol, I am not looking to a day of being pampered. Business as usual...though I have a new addition to my shoes collection. The blokes got me an amazing pair of summer clogs with wood sole and heel, and a crocheted lace front. Beautiful!
Anyhow, Sunday snippet... Back to the gala at the Met in New York. Adrasteia 'Adri' Dionysos, the heroine I wrote in the Eternelles series, has met a man who has tilted her world in a way no man has...

Spotlight on DRAGONFLY MOMENTS by Kathy Bosman. Latest release from the Ubuntu line @DecadentPub

Guess by now ye all know I manage the Ubuntu line geared to African romance at Decadent Publishing. Last year, at this time, I didn't even know I'd be getting on board such an amazing endeavour, yet here we are today, myself and the peeps at Decadent Publishing - the uber-awesome Lisa Omstead & Heather Bennett - with a brand new line showcasing Africa in all its glory. We had our debut release earlier this year (Island Bound by Kiru Taye), and since then, we've all...

Why did I decide to self-publish? Guest blog by Jessica E. Subject @jsubject #ebook #selfpublishing #scifi

My CP & good friend (and all-around awesome lady!) Jessica E. Subject and I have swapped blogs today. But here's the thing - we're both talking about the same topic.
Why did we go indie?
May marks the month both of us, despite being happy at our main publisher Decadent Publishing, have taken the plunge into self-publishing.
You can find my post about why Natalie G. Owens and I self-published the Eternelles series here , on Jessica's blog.
And here Jessica is, to tell you m...

From INESCAPABLE Bk1 of #Eternelles: Who is this mystery man stalking Adri?

It's a beautiful, sunny, and balmy Sunday morning in Mauritius today. The rushing, cold winds we'd been having thanks to an anti-cyclone system all through the week have let up, and it's back to being manageably cool. As long as the sun is shining, I'm good. :)
Not so sunny in the world of Eternelles - where my heroine, Adrasteia 'Adri' Dionysios, has just come across a man who doesn't seem to respond to her magic. In other words, a man who doesn't understand the spell-like command t...

How to write about Africa...when you've never been there!

It was my turn today to post at The Pop Culture Divas, the group blog I belong to with a few other (awesome!) writers. I've been remiss in posting on my set day lately, so I apologize there...and put across a new post.
As ye all must know, I manage the Ubuntu line at Decadent Publishing. Geared towards African romance, with locations in Africa and characters hailing from or living in Africa and its societies, the line aims at giving reads that sweep you into a whole new world th...
