Rome Remembering Audrey Hepburn

Dresses, typical sunglasses and also the green Vespa scooter that Audrey rode with Gregory Peck in the famous Roman Holiday (1953). You can see all this and much more at a new exhibition in Rome, until 4th December.

The exhibition at the Roman Ara Pacis museum is called Audrey in Rome and presents also 150 amazing private photographs that Audrey took during her frequent stays in Italy. She loved Italy and her love grew even stronger in late 1960s when she met Andrea Dotti, an Italian...

Interview With Cara Bristol, Author Of "Unexpected Consequences"

I'm very pleased to welcome author Cara Bristol to my blog and chat with her about books and writer's life. Cara has recently released a new book, Unexpected Consequences, an erotic romance novel. You can read my review of Unexpected Consequences here.

Meet Cara:

[image error]Cara Bristol writes the kind of romance she likes to read: spicy tales of love and lust that are fun, sexy and stirring. She believes a touch of taboo or a hint of kink only makes a love story that much hotter.

Her newest erotic...

Author's Best Friend: Seven Ways To Use A Journal

[image error]One shelf of my bookcase is full of journals. Journals of different sizes and colors. Journals filled with my thoughts, ideas, dreams and ramblings. I'm a firm believer in journaling as a creative tool and today I'm going to give you some journaling tips, hoping to convert you into a passionate journal keeper.

 1. What journal should you buy?

When buying a journal, choose a nice one you will love. Yes, you can even splurge: Tell your stingy inner critic to go to her corner and shut up, it's...

The Book Inside You

[image error]I believe every woman has a book in her heart. Maybe it's her life story, her wisdom, her experience, her understanding of certain situations, obstacles she has overcome, or maybe just the world of fantasy, imagination, dreams and restless ideas.

When you start feeling the urge to write a book and share a piece of your soul with the world, the calling is so strong that you cannot deny it. Or at least not for long. The idea turns into passion and your inner flame keeps growing stronger and...

Discover Italy: The Secrets Of Valle D'Aosta (VDA)

Today I would like to take you to the North of Italy, to the smallest Italian region: Valle D'Aosta (VDA). Although it's small and seemingly simple, I love it for its beautiful nature, delicious food and stress-free lifestyle. This beautiful Alpine part of Italy is a real wildlife sanctuary with a huge variety of animal and botanical species. Valle D'Aosta is also famous for its many castles and agrotourist farms which make it a perfect vacation spot when you need to escape the city and...

Book Review: Unexpected Consequences by Cara Bristol

As you know, I like venturing into genres I don't usually read. Therefore, I enjoyed the opportunity to grab Unexpected Consequences by Cara Bristol, a spicy erotic romance novel, and I was pleasantly surprised.

[image error]This is the first book by Cara I've read, and I must say it's very well written. The erotic parts are hot and explicit, yet very well woven into the story of a couple whose marriage gets on the thin ice because of husband's sexual preferences.

The focus of the book is the relationship a...

Book Publishing Advice: Copyright Your Work

Copyrighting your work is a must for all writers out there, and not just them. I've been copyrighting my translation work for many years now, and since I started writing books, I've been copyrighting them too. Actually, I copyright even articles, simply everything that I write and publish.

If you haven't copyrighted your published (or even unpublished) work yet, please, go ahead and do it. Copyrighting is easy and you can do it online.

Simply go to http://www.copyright.gov/ (U.S. Copyright...

Whether you're writing your first book or your tenth, the process is never easy. It's full of challenges, obstacles and frustrations, but every author knows that writing is probably the most fulfilling and rewarding activity in the whole world. How To Juggle Writing And Your Day Job (And Still Have A Life)

No matter where you are in the writing process and how many books you have written so far, I'm sure you agree with me that writing is one of the most fulfilling activities in the world (with a few frustrations every now and then). However, most authors, including me, need to divide their time among writing, their day job, friends, family, hobbies, and yes, we would also like to sleep sometimes. (Although if your best writing ideas wake you up at 3am every night, you stand no chance. Since I s...

Chique Dolce Vita Joy Project: Day #21

This is incredibly wise yet sometimes hard to do. How often do we say or do the things we don't really mean or feel like doing, just because we think they are expected of us? Every day I make decisions that don't make other people happy, that even ruffle their feathers. I'm not afraid and I don't apologize for what I say or do. I own my life and I'm proud of it. What can you do today to own yours?
