Writer's Life: The Importance Of Being Obsessed

Last night I watched a documentary about an elderly artist – painter and designer. He's now 84, has lived a busy life creating and collecting art. At one point in the documentary he said:

"I'm obsessed. Those who are not obsessed about their art can give up right now because they will never create anything worthy anyway. You must be obsessed in order to be an outstanding artist."

He also said: "I don't want to die yet. I want to create. I have so many ideas, and I just need time to turn them...

Last week I promised to take you to Parco Sempione, the green oasis of Milan and one of my favorite places. I write about its many secrets (including legends and ghosts) in my book Chique Secrets of Dolce Vita, so make sure to read it if you haven't yet ;) And now let's go relax and play – Parco Sempione is the perfect place for it.

Torre Branca is the Milanese Eiffel Tower offering a stunning view of the city. An elevator takes you right to the top – no need to climb the stairs!
