Going Outside Tomorrow

Just met my recreational therapist and tomorrow he is taking me outside for a walk. And he’s cute. Maybe I can extend my stay. Right now I’m scheduled to go home on Friday.

Successful Transfer

Here’s Logan, who just transferred Michelle to her chair for her afternoon therapy. She’ll be discharged next Friday and will hopefully be very strong by then.

I’m Human

I’m out of my hospital gown and working hard at rehab. Learning to use my legs again.

I’m in Rehab

Yesterday I was moved to the rehab floor of NY Presbyterian. Time to work. Here I am having dinner last night.

On the Run

PT and OT put me into a wheelchair today and Mom can now take me for rides. Here I am wheeling around the unit in front of the fish tank. Hopefully off to rehab tomorrow.

Visitors’ Day

Hanging out with Dad and Mom. Tomorrow we learn where we are going for rehab.

I Had Therapy Today

What a day! When Mom arrived the neurosurgeon told her that I was being discharged today, but Mom being Mom, told him she couldn’t take me home until it was safe to do transfers. So both OT and PT came to evaluate me, that’s why I’m so tired, and they agreed with Mom that I needed some in-patient rehab. Of course, it’s the weekend so I get to rest until Monday and then we’ll figure out where I will have rehab.

Looking Good

Waiting for a bed on a regular floor. Had PT and OT and ate dinner last night. My room overlooks the East River and I feel like I’m on a cruise except for the food.

Michelle Spent the Night in ICU

Doing well.

She’s Awake

Just saw Michelle. She’s awake and asking for food. When I told her it was good to have her back she responded that she never left. Thanks for your prayers.
