Review

48 Hours 'Til Christmas (Miracle Circle #2) 48 Hours 'Til Christmas by Stephany Tullis

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I did enjoy this book, though at first I wondered where it was going. I was sure I had encountered that Luke character before, perhaps in another book. So I was kind-of predestined to blame him for everything, and as it turned out...
However, the Christmassy feel was fantastic48 Hours 'Til Christmas

Child Killer

Child Killer Child Killer by Hester Keegan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book in a series (hopefully) of stories about DI Tony Octavian, who is half English and half Indonesian, and has just been transferred to the Greater Manchester police from London. Apart from being fascinated with police work, one of Octavian’s unique characteristics (or hobby) is writing fiction novels. Although he does not expect this to make him rich and famous in any way, nor to distract him from his chosen career, he does find that it helps him to focus on real life while thinking about the quirks and foibles of human nature, but in this case, he finds that his own imagination doesn’t even go there.
The current case of particularly appalling murders of teenagers, in different places and by various means, seems unsolvable, as every time a new suspect or evidence turns up, it leads to a dead end for Octavian and his team.
In the end, the darkness of the MOD and the perpetrator is an almost unbelievable shock.
