NEW: Q&A with the inventor of the online launch, Jeff Walker
I just had such a great call with Jeff Walker and some amazing members of our community.
We talked honestly about launching, imposter syndrome and why it’s so important to get started.
As Jeff said, the best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is today. This was such an in-depth call, Jeff is incredibly nice so it’s totally worth watching.
This year’s PLF rocket is ready for take-off. I want you to be onboard because this could mark a new chapter for your business and life.
The PLF doors close in just a few hours at 10pm New York time Thursday.
Enrolment closes soon… you’ve left it to the last minute, but if you’re quick you can still get in and qualify for my epic bonus.

Is a 7-figure launch realistic?
Is a 7-figure launch realistic?
// <![CDATA[
// ]]>
Not everyone aspires to a big million-dollar launch or can even see that as a possibility. And it’s totally okay if that’s not your goal.
But the reason I love talking so much about launching is to show you that these big launches are possible.
A normal person like you or me CAN achieve a 7-figure launch.
It’s not common and not easy, but it’s possible.
And if you’re like me, that will motivate you to want to learn more about how it could be possible for you. And trust me, it’s worth it.
A 7-figure launch will probably not happen by accident, so the first step is demystifying what it takes and what you would need to make this happen.
Listen to today’s podcast episode to learn:
How my launches have progressed from 1 person to $2m+
Why a personal life goal is more important than a money goal
Mindset tips to overcome launch resistance and fear
The predictable formula of the launch numbers game
How to avoid overcomplication and other common launch mistakes
This month I’ve been sharing how I learned to launch from my mentor, Jeff Walker, and this week, you can learn from him, too, in the 2024 Launch Masterclass.
I promise today’s tips will help if your launch goal is 5, 6, or 7 figures. But if you want to have a million-dollar launch one day, you need to start.
Why not you? Get the training and take a leap… it’s possible.

How to swap launch resistance for launch confidence
Hi there,
Have you ever experienced launch resistance? Are you right now?
Maybe it manifests as procrastination or denial? Perhaps you don’t want to do what everyone else is doing or you want to do it your way.
Putting yourself out there to launch your course or membership will bring up your fears so it’s normal to feel blocked.
And it’s easy to buy in to the idea that launching is complicated or getting harder.
With the need to keep up with ever-evolving social platforms, the struggle to stand out in an increasingly saturated market - it's enough to make even the most seasoned entrepreneurs want to stop.
Of course you’ll feel overwhelmed and start doubting yourself if you’re trying to launch without a process to follow.
It’s like expecting to pass an exam without studying.
The demands and competition might be higher right now. But with the right mindset and strategy, launching can still be really rewarding.
You’re only going to do the work to coordinate all the moving pieces of a launch if you’re confident that it will succeed.
And that starts with knowing what to do and what to expect.
The business landscape is constantly changing, and what worked yesterday might not work today.
Here’s the five benefits of learning how to launch:
Knowing what to do and when
Having confidence that what you do will actually work (because it’s been tested and proven)
Knowing what stats to watch during your launch and what results to expect
Knowing that your launch is worth the effort (how to guarantee your ROI)
Building the confidence and motivation to get over your launch resistance
Because if you don’t know what to expect, are you really going to make this happen?
It might seem daunting, but I promise launching can be an exciting adventure.
So tell me, what's holding you back from launching?
xx Denise
P.S. I want to leave one number with you and if nothing else this should be reason enough for you to check out today’s video…
Eighteen.
Jeff’s flagship and game-changing Product Launch Formula has had EIGHTEEN consecutive 7-figure launches. The biggest was $5.1 million…
If you’re considering launching a product or business soon and want to know more I HIGHLY recommend Jeff Walker.
Jeff just released part one of the workshop about his core launch strategy which has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs generate close to $1 billion (yep… with a B) of sales.
>> Watch Launch Workshop Video 1 Here
In this video Jeff talks about how and why to launch, the Sideways Sales Letter and the Mental Triggers. You’ll learn all about creating a prelaunch sequence that gets your market excited to buy your product before it's even available.

24 Lessons for Launch Success in 2024
We’ve been talking about launching so far this month and I’m already signed up and ready for Jeff Walker’s Launch Masterclass next week - are you joining us? (it’s free)
To whet your appetite, I’m sharing some of my biggest lessons (good and bad) from online launching to help you improve your next launch - whether it's your first or tenth launch and whatever stage of business you're at.
First up - my online launch credentials. My first ever ebook launch was in 2004, and my first course launch was in 2009. Since those "practice businesses," I've had dozens of online course, book, and affiliate launches and have made over $30m in online revenue.
I've launched my flagship course Money Bootcamp in every way possible; live video content launches, evergreen, webinar, 5-day challenge, quiz-style, half-assed, and full-out.
It's been quite a journey with over 10,000 students through that course and 8,000+ on my manifesting course.
My launches have not always been a 7-figure hit.
And I know that when you’re starting out, all of this talk of big launch numbers can feel unrealistic.
My first launch had one person buy, but I know that my big launches, all started back then with that first person, that first refund and learning a system to take the guess-work out of launching.
Basically, I’ve launched a LOT.
I’ve learned that it’s easy to overcomplicate launches (especially if you’re even slightly Type-A), but there are a few tricks along the way to make them less stressful.
When I first started, I would roll out pretty “soft” launches with minimal structure—basically a deadline and some emails—but as we grew and Mark joined the business, we learned the launch process and stepped up our game.
We bought Jeff Walker’s PLF program and started following his framework - Mark loved it, and kept saying “Jeff says do this” whenever I go creative.
So if you want to learn from my mistakes or you’re thinking about launching a new course, product or business, you’re going to want to read this.
Honestly - most of these lessons will apply if you’re doing your first ever business launch. The numbers might be different but the fears, challenges and wins are the same. You could use these lessons to make your first $100 or your first $10,000 launch and beyond.
So here goes…
1. Life happens…so get prepared!
Omg - does life ever happen. We’ve had launches derailed, delayed or tipped upside down by sickness, childcare, travel and Covid.
During one launch, we had a lot of life stuff going down. Our toddler started daycare and potty training for the first time. Our baby started solids, and decided to wake up way more times during the night because he was teething. Our nanny got sick. I got a massive cold, a UTI and hemorrhoids all at the same time (I told you this post would be transparent), oh, and my husband went away for ten days to Europe.
I used to do all the launch stuff the day before, but I just can’t risk that anymore. You never know if poop is going to hit the fan (almost literally).
It's really helpful to do at least some stuff in advance, because let's face it - life doesn't stop just because you're launching! Don’t leave everything to the last minute.
2. Get support
You really don't have to do it all yourself (I'm telling MYSELF this constantly). Outsource as much as possible because it will multiply your output.
Get people on Fiverr if you don't have a big budget, because there are SO many moving pieces to a launch.
Use AI, templates in Canva or email scripts from courses you can buy. If there’s a cheat code, use it to your advantage and tweak as you go.
3. Sales pages take FOREVER
Your sales page will take 10 x longer than you think it will. And you’ll still probably hate it.
Even with an existing sales page, making tweaks takes so much longer than you think.
4. Email can’t be your only marketing channel
Don't assume everyone reads, or even gets, your emails. And honestly, deliverability is down because of stronger spam filters, promotional folders and email fatigue.
You have to promote on all your marketing channels. I just heard that someone BIG did a launch and I had no idea. I only follow her on Instagram and I never saw her mention it ONCE.
People are decluttering their inboxes and even their FB feeds with apps. People’s attention is more fragmented than ever so work out where your audience hangs out and meet them there.
Find out where your customers hang out, and be creative.
5. Give, give, give
The first step to creating and engaged and exciting audience is sharing great value-free content.
Whether it’s free videos, live coaching, an ebook or webinar - start by sharing what you know before you make an offer.
The better quality your free content the better your launch will be. Don’t hoard your genius.
6. Spell stuff out for your customers
People don't always read too closely - you have to tell them really obvious things to do - like CLICK HERE or "This is where you sign up".
Make your price, currency and payment plan really clear, I mean REALLY clear for people.
And no matter how many times you say it, you'll still get emails asking "is this going to be recorded?" - people are busy.
7. Pretty doesn’t necessarily sell
Don't try and get too cute with design. In your materials and logo, no problem. But sales pages can be pretty plain. Don't let your "buy now" button get lost in the crowd of pretty images.
8. Track your conversions!
It's easy to think "nobody wants to buy my stuff!" if you don't understand that 1-2% of people will buy. Over time, the stats WILL play out (unless you're doing more high touch selling, then yes, you can convert higher).
9. Book in self-care
During launches, self-care often goes out the window!
I’ve had to learn to actually give myself a buffer of 15 minutes between interviews, instead of scheduling them back to back (with no time for pee breaks). Get some meals in, get a MASSIVE supply of water, and take whatever meds/vitamins you need to keep well. Book some massages or beauty treatments.
10. Track and celebrate EVERY success
It's true that most of the sales come right at the end, so it's easy to get discouraged. Keep believing and get excited about every single sale - someone has believed in you and you can help transform their lives!
We often stick individual colored post-it notes on the wall for each person - it’s a fun way to get the kids involved and excited about all the work you’re doing.
11. Deadlines, bonuses and incentives work!
It's not being too "salesy" - People are fence sitters, and humans need deadlines to motivate them.
But be wary of offering too many bonuses and overwhelming people - they want your main thing, not 10 other courses that they’ll never open.
12. Payment Plans increase your sales but take management
Some people always want to pay in full, but others need an extended payment option to be able to afford to work with you.
A payment plan can lower the barrier to people joining and increase sales. But people will default or miss a payment so make sure you think about the process of how to chase payment and remove access if you need to.
Don’t overcomplicate your launch with multiple payment options or deadlines.
13. Launch resistance is REAL.
And everyone experiences it so the fact that you have resistance doesn’t mean that you’re not meant to launch.
Omg - half way most launches, I want to give up my business forever and run away to live in a yurt.
Don’t take it as a sign to stop. Just keep swimming.
14. Refunds will happen
They are a business rite of passage and are inevitable. Please don't stress about it. It doesn't mean that you're not good at what you do. Everyone gets refunds.
15. Promote one thing at a time
A confused mind says no. We’ve sabotaged launches in the past by trying to promote multiple things like a launch, affiliate launch, event or book all around the same time.
Keep the messages focused and do one thing at a time.
16. People will steal your stuff
Don't stress too much about protecting all your IP. Some people will join to try and steal your stuff. Get legal on them if you need to.
Put T&Cs in place. BUT DON'T HIDE FOR FEAR THIS WILL HAPPEN. It's pretty rare and lots of people will miss out on your goodness if you let the fear stop you launching.
17. People will unsubscribe
Unsubscribes will go up during a launch. This is purely a function of you sending more emails - not because they’re bad emails or because people hate you.
It's okay. You can't hold onto people forever. It's not personal. Take off the notifications.
18. People will get pissed off that you’re selling
People will get irrationally angry that you're selling something. Even if you're giving away 90% of your stuff for free. It sucks and it hurts, but it's okay for you to make money from your business. Some people won't like it, and that's okay!
19. Plan but not too much
Don't get caught up in creating the perfect planning spreadsheet. A simple google doc to-do list will do just fine. Action beats perfect planning every time.
20. You won’t be able to implement everything
Keep a file of "ideas for next time" and “things to improve”. You won't be able to implement everything this time, but it's handy to keep it in one place so you remember.
21. Mindset, mindset, mindset
I work through so many blocks during EVERY launch.
Book in with your kinesiologist to smash through blocks, talk to your mastermind, do your EFT, and do everything you need to keep your vibes high.
22. Mistakes are inevitable (and invaluable)
You're going to make mistakes and that's okay! Each time you launch, you're going to get better and better. Each time you launch you're going to build on your success.
Launch, tweak, repeat.
23. The fortune is in the follow-up
People are busy. It’s easy to forget about deadline or miss a webinar.
You’ve worked hard to get people interested, so make sure you follow up.
Reach out, make personal contact and handle their objections. Send that extra email.
As the saying goes, the extra mile is seldom crowded and that’s where the gold is.
24. Lastly - don't compare.
Everyone starts from zero. My very very very first course (the Raw Brides Transformation Plan) had 1 person.
My second course (The Inspired Life Formula) had 5 (including 1 refund). My third course - the Lucky Bitch Money Bootcamp had 20. Since then we've had more than 10,000 people in the Bootcamp.
Don't assume that everyone has seen your stuff - launch it again.
And here’s a BIG BONUS lesson… Follow (and trust) the process
You don’t have to re-invent the wheel or make it up as you go along.
Streamline, successful and profitable launching is a skill that can be learned.
In the past, I’ve honestly just winged my launches and yes, still had great results, but now we follow Jeff Walker and his Product Launch Formula.
If you don’t know who “Jeff” is, you should really check out his free launch workshop (it’s only available once a year) and over a million people have taken the workshop.
Check it out here: www.denisedt.com/launch
His videos are so awesome, (he’s inspiring and CHILL too) and the workshop has some free PDF downloads and checklists all about how to put together a killer launch. His process really helped us (even though I really resisted it!)
Anyone else in launch mode at the moment and have extra tips?
It’s your time and you’re ready for the next step.
xx Denise

Finding your perfect coach
Finding your perfect coach
// <![CDATA[

Not everyone is a good coach. Just because you admire someone or their business, doesn’t mean they’re the right coach for you.
I’ve definitely been burned by this - Sometimes it’s hard to find a coach who aligns with your needs and stage of life and business.
There are so many types of coaches, so today let’s check in with exactly what you need and how to find what you’re looking for.
Listen to this new episode of Chill and Prosper to learn:

How launching a course can help you move from 6 to 7 figures
If your business turnover is 6-figures, you may be wondering how you could possibly work harder so you can break the illusive $1 million mark.
Well, you probably can’t. Moving from 6 to 7 figures, takes a mindset shift and embracing leveraged income and not just simply doubling or tripling your effort.
It’s time to leverage your time and expertise into a course and get it launched.
And there’s a way for it to be easy and profitable.
What if you could make a million dollars next year just because you added a course?
No one knows how long our apprenticeship is when we are self-employed. We have to decide when we are ready to take the next step.
What are you waiting for?
You could have your course created and launched before the end of the year.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just needs to be done. Then it will be an asset which you can launch and improve multiple times.
Check out my video above on how launching a course is allowed to be easy and could be the best next step for you.
Then, to learn more about planning and executing your first launch, join the waitlist below for a free masterclass training from my launch mentor, Jeff Walker all about how and why to launch.

How to finally get your course done
How to finally get your course done
// <![CDATA[
// ]]>
Let’s roll up our sleeves and talk about how to finally get your course done.
I get so frustrated and annoyed by people who are procrastinating on launching their online course, not because it’s easy, but because it’s something you have to just get it done.
It doesn’t have to be perfect and I promise it will be worth it.
So listen to today’s podcast episode for my tips and wisdom on getting your course out into the world.
You’ll learn:
Why courses are still relevant to you and your audience
Navigating a crowded market and all the free info available
How it’s easier and cheaper to create a launch today
The mindset blocks holding you from creating and launching
How to sell a course before it’s complete
The biggest thing you need to get over the resistance of creating your course is just a desire to contribute. A desire to help.
Don’t try and be a guru or put yourself under pressure to be a guru.
Be a contributor. Offer something to the conversation - don’t feel you have to be the expert of all experts.
What you know can help people and is of value.
Now you just need to get it done - book that videographer.
It’s your time.

What are you really selling?
What are you really selling?
// <![CDATA[
// ]]>
When people are looking at their budgets or feeling a little more stretched, you need to be crystal clear on what you’re offering and how you can help.
If you’re in a service based business like a VA, designer or photographer you might be seeing clients say “I’ll just do it myself” or delaying purchases.
So, when times are a little tougher, get clear on the real benefit of your offer. Like a personal trainer, maybe it’s accountability rather than the actual workout routine.
Your prospects are likely busy, and there may never be an ideal time for them, but when you know what you offer and can communicate it in their language, you’re more likely to get them off the fence.
Listen to today’s podcast episode for more on:
Working out what business you’re in
How to market your years of experience and skills
New ideas for packaging your services and products
How to communicate the real value of working with you
And much MORE.
Telling people what you’re selling and how you help is step one.
For example, if you didn’t already know, I’m a money mindset coach and mentor. I offer an online course, community, and monthly coaching to help you overcome money blocks and earn more. Money Bootcamp gives you three things: practical training, support, and accountability.
We’ve helped over 10,000 people like you, and if you know you have blocks and fears around money, you can come join anytime at denisedt.com/bootcamp
But remember, the fortune is in the follow-up.
If you’re looking at your calendar right now and you don’t have a lot of clients booked in, send an email to previous clients and inquiries.
Let them know that you’ve got availability and give them dates and a link.
Make it super clear and simple to buy and give you money.
Often, people are thinking, “I really should do that thing,” and they’re just waiting for someone like you to say, “Let’s do it!"
So listen to this week’s episode, take that action, and let me know how it goes.
Message me, or tag me - I’d love to celebrate your wins with you.
xx Denise
P.S. Want more? It can take a while and a couple of tries to get really clear on the breakthrough that you’re selling.
But when you can tell a compelling story why your experience can help someone achieve a transformation in their life or business, then your marketing is so much more effective.
This is one of the things that has really made a difference for me over the last few years.
Check out this article about improvements I’ve made to my messaging and content to grow my launches.

The truth about bouncing back from a failed launch
Chances are, if you’ve been in business a while, you’ve had a failed launch.
This could be anything;
You released your book to crickets.
You launched your first program, and it was a dud.
You put out an offer, and nobody bought.
I’ve been there, and it can be devastating.
If this is you, I want you to know that you are absolutely in the right place. It's totally okay for you to feel sad about it.
And if that's not you, I want you to ponder where you’ve hit a speed bump in business and what you can actually learn from it.
I’m in a lot of business groups, and I’ve got a lot of business friends - actually, most of my friends are entrepreneurs now.
So occasionally I’ll get a friend saying “Oh my God, we had such a bad launch and it was horrible”, and they’re really defeated about it.
After telling them I’m sorry, I always ask the same question.
Over the years I’ve learned how to decipher launch results and I’ve learned a lot about bouncing back and improving launches.
So l want to share more about my failed (and successful) launches.
Because you know what? Having a successful launch isn’t about branding, or colors or pretty ads. It isn’t even (gasp!) about pricing!
I’m gonna share with you my ultimate successful launch secrets!
The single most important launch question
In the 50s and 60s, when advertisers used to do campaigns in newspapers or direct mail. They would only ever expect to get 1 to 2% conversion, if that!
If you're a friend of mine, you know, you can't come to me just for like, "Oh babe, I'm so sorry. That sucks."
This is how a conversation normally goes when someone tells me they’ve had a failed launch:
"Yeah, that sucks. Okay. So what are your sales page conversion stats?"
"Oh"
"Well, go find out, get some information, babe."
"Ok so 200 people saw it and X amount of people bought."
"Babe, it's right on track because, here's the thing. If you are selling something online, like a course where you just send people to a sales page and they buy it, one to 2% of people will actually purchase that thing. That’s a widely accepted good conversion rate and a great place for you to start.
This might sound horrible and make you think "What's the freaking point?". But I actually see this as really empowering information, because if you don't have that information, you are going to sit there and go, "People don't like me. Nobody wants my thing." And you'll make up stories about your ability or you'll go in the wrong direction.
Without knowing your real numbers you’ll doubt yourself, your offer or your branding.
I've launched with very simple branding and very fancy branding. And to be honest, their conversion rates are the same.
You might think, "Oh, it was the price because people said, 'I can't afford it.'", but you are going to get that response no matter what the price is.
If you were charging $5 or $500 or $5,000, you'll get the same amount of people saying that they can't afford it. It'll be different people for sure. Different price points, attract different people, but it’s not necessarily the price that makes a launch underperform.
So if you want 20 sales for your next launch, you can work back and reverse engineer the numbers to get a target for the number of people to see your sales page and the number of leads you need.
This will then inform whether you need to invest in ads or bring on JV partners to help increase your reach.
It’s just a normal marketing reality that not every single person is going to buy from you. The one to two stat is for mass marketing campaigns, if you are getting on the phone and talking to people about what you do, you can have 50% conversion. You could have 90% conversion depending on who you are, but you are never going to get a 100% conversion on most of your offers.
Ninety-nine or ninety-eight percent of people will not buy.
That can be really hard to deal with. But if you realize that it's not personal and you don't make up a story about it, then you have more information next time.
When you see people having big launches, six-figure launches, million-dollar launches, it is a numbers game.
Now, each sale is someone that you can transform their lives and help them. But it is also just a reality that, even though people say that they're going to buy, life happens and they don't. Even though people really need what you have to offer, they just might not have seen the offer.
So next time focus on your reach, leads and following through with your marketing so as many people see your offer as possible.
You failed, now what?
There’s no doubt that a failed or underperforming launch can be vey disheartening.
Instead of sitting around and making up stories that "people don't like me, people don't want my thing. It's not the right thing." here’s what not to do:
1. Don’t scrap everything
Don't chuck everything out. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Most of the time, it's not about your thing. It's just that not enough people saw it.
2. Don’t assume everyone knows about your offer so you can’t do it again
Maybe you only got one or two people join your coaching program and you feel like, "Oh, I can't launch it again because people will think it didn't go well or people will think I'm a loser for asking them."
Here's the thing: sometimes what you have to offer is really great, but it's just not the right time for people, or they didn't see it, or they didn't have the money at that particular time. It's absolutely not personal.
So, look at what you can improve - send out a questionnaire and ask people why they didn’t buy. You’ll always get responses about the price or not being able to afford the investment, but it will also highlight areas where you can reduce friction or confusion.
It's just a reality that it will just not be right for some people at the time. People won't always be able to afford you and that's fine.
3. Don’t start from scratch.
Yes, make some tweaks to your marketing for next time, but don’t start from scratch. Don't get bored and just launch something else because you feel like nobody wants it. Like so many other leaders in our industry, you can launch again - the exact same thing in the exact same way, but at a better time and you may see much better results.
So many people who were a “maybe” during your failed launch, could be ready next time. I see it all the time when I launch my Money Bootcamp.
4. Don’t take it personally.
People have to get over a lot of blocks to take action in their business and buy a course. It’s easy for your potential customers to get derailed. They get embarrassed, they get tired, or they just forget to join - it’s not about you.
Dust yourself off and go again
The great thing about relaunching is that you'll have less to do every single time.
If you launch something and nobody bought, I'm still really freaking proud of you because you got through your resistance and did SO MUCH work to create all the moving pieces of a launch. Filming the videos, doing the sales page, getting out of your comfort zone, setting up those payment systems, writing those emails. There's so much work involved in that.
They are real assets that you’ve created for your business forever more. You’ve planted a seed in the ground that could bear fruit forever.
Now think about if you got one person. I've seen people get one person and they refund them thinking they can’t run a program for one.
No - that person is faith. That is proof that someone needs what you’re offering. And that person, has paid you to plant the seed, that could grow into a million dollars.
You might have wanted a hundred people and you got 10. That's so valuable. It's going to help you iron out the kinks in the program. Those early people are going to find your broken links. They're going to find your spelling mistakes and they're going to tell you which bits are confusing.
Do you want 10,000 people joining in your first course when you haven't figured out those systems?
Every time someone joins Money Bootcamp, we learn something new. I don't reinvent the wheel and or I’d break it. I take a note, and then the next time we do new videos or redo stuff, then that's when I make changes.
Ok, hopefully, this helps you reframe that failure for you.
I want to hear from you. I want to celebrate you.
Tell me whenever you launch something. Tag me or DM me to tell me about your launches. It’s amazing to hear of people like us breaking through your resistance and making money.
If you’re considering launching or relaunching I have one big recommendation - You can improve your next launch by investing in extra training or support. You can take the stress and uncertainty away from launching by following a proven system and learning from the mistakes that other launchers have made.
And the BEST person to follow to learn what’s working in launching right now is my launch mentor, Jeff Walker.
Each year Jeff shares his launch formula (the one I use) and the latest launch trends in a free workshop. Spending time to learn from Jeff is an incredible investment that will deliver an immediate return in your next launch.
