I’m in my late 30s, very active individual and loves martial arts and extreme sports. Problems with this kind of lifestyle? Despite the fact that most activities that I partake in helps in boosting my health and cardiovascular system, it does have some down side to it. Eg: All the activities are usually done outdoors and I’m mostly exposed to the sun and it can be really harsh and damaging on the skin. The painful sunburns, and the uneven skin tone as well dark spot isn’t exactly the bonus I’ve been looking for, as it does speeds up the signs of ageing.
So, the solution? Get something to stop such things from happening and fix up the skin.
A friend of mine introduced to me these;
Murad Rapid Dark Spot Correcting Serum and City Skin Age Defense Broad Spectrum SPF50.

Unveiling of McDonald’s Fries Crosswalk at McDonald’s Bukit Bintang
McDonald’s, or rather, more fondly known among the locals as Mekdi in Malaysia has been a big part of our lives, and I’m here today at McDonald’s Bukit Bintang, the very first McDonald’s restaurant that opened its doors in Malaysia 40 years ago. Yes. Mekdi have been 40 years in Malaysia, people. And I remember my happy memories with ‘Mekdi’ from my growing up years way to my adulthood. I had birthday parties in.Whenever people talked about McDonald’s, I would remember celebrating my birthdays with friends, my first date ever with my husband when we just started dating, late night study session right before college’s final and even our son’s birthday were celebrated at ‘Mekdi’. McDonald’s definitely is not just my regular fast food restaurant where I get a quick meal, but it’s a place where fond memories are made.
Here’s yours truly at McDonald’s Bukit Bintang and I’m excited to share with you the unveiling of the iconic McDonald’s Fries crosswalk.
The crosswalk is located at the heart of city and what makes this even more special is that this crosswalk is located right in front of the Bukit Bintang restaurant- the very place that’s dubbed as the Malaysia version of Shibuya crossing.
Curious why the McDonald’s French Fries is chosen as the icon? When eating the McDonald’s French Fries here in Malaysia we all know how creative we Malaysians can get when it comes to food. How many of you like to pour your fries on a tray and create a mountain of fries to share with friends? Or dip your fries in your sundae for that sweet and savoury treat? These are the joys of having our iconic French Fries – it tastes great but also evokes a sense of joy and fun with family and friends.
“We are confident that this crosswalk will add to the beauty of Kuala Lumpur and make it a must-see destination for tourists from all over the world. And with the announcement of the Malaysian borders reopening on 1 April, we hope that tourists visiting KL not only come to shop at the Golden Triangle, but also experience feel-good moments at McDonald’s Bukit Bintang and take photos of our Fries crosswalk. With this new iconic crosswalk, we are extending our support to the Ministry of Federal Territories and the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) in enhancing its socio- economic development initiatives to make Kuala Lumpur a more prosperous city by 2030.” Ms. Melati Abdul Hai, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of McDonald’s Malaysia said when asked about the McDonald’s aspiration for the iconic McDonald’s Fries Crosswalk.
McDonald’s remains committed in contributing to the nation’s economic recovery, as it announced its five-year business expansion plans earlier this month. As part of its Vision 2026, McDonald’s Malaysia will be investing RM1.35 billion over the next five years to open 205 new restaurants, as well as offering more than 50,000 career opportunities for Malaysians by the year 2026.
McDonald’s French Fries not only taste good but it also brings people together and creates feel-good moments, so it’s no surprise that McDonald’s fries continues to be one of the most popular items on their menu. It’s called the world-famous fries for a reason and is enjoyed by millions of people every day around the globe.
If you’re ever in Bukit Bintang and happened to see the iconic McDonald’s Fries crosswalk, do experience how it’s like crossing over. Take some pictures, videos and maybe some TikToks, and have some ‘I’m lovin it’ good time at our beloved Mekdi.

My PADI Advanced Open Water Course Experience
When I passed my Open Water Diver certification back in 2020, I was immediately offered to take up Advanced Open Water Diver license. My classmates were all excited for it and they immediately signed up and proceed with the course, just right after they were certified as an Open Water Diver. But I wasn’t so keen. Unlike them, I was concerned for many things. First of all, I did my Open Water course when I was on an island trip. Time was a constraint. Second was the budget for the fees and last but not least, I wasn’t sure if I was really ready to dive deeper and go for Advanced Open Water.
Just a few confined water dives in the pool and a mere few skill performing dives in the open water and you wanna go further and deeper in the sea? You got to be kidding me! Although I’m quite a confident woman, my confidence wasn’t that great when it comes to diving. When I just passed my Open Water Diver course, I wasn’t really confident in the water yet. I was still scared and my diving skills was just so-so and worst of all, my buoyancy and whatnot was still crappy. Instead of jumping the bandwagon like everyone else, I decided to wait. I wanted to get more experience in diving and log more dives before I take up the Advanced Open Water course.
It’s tough being a scuba diver, actually. This fact is especially true during the pandemic era. When I obtained my Open Water Diver licence it was already during Covid19 pandemic era, and going for more dives is really difficult. My country executed nationwide lockdown and traveling to other states is made impossible. We were banned for certain period of time and tourism attractions were forced to close their doors to tourists. I couldn’t travel to my preferred dive sites; eg: beautiful tropical islands to dive and increase my diving skills experience. Living in Kuala Lumpur makes it worst as there are no pretty dive sites nearby.
But I like diving. I wanted to dive despite of the lockdown restrictions, and so, I decided to go for freshwater diving in lakes nearby Klang Valley so that I can gain more experience.
Read up my lake diving experience here:
https://cleffairy.com/lake-diving-at-hulu-langat-selangor-with-scuba-dobedo-divers/
https://cleffairy.com/lake-diving-at-saujana-putra-lake-selangor-with-i-divers/
https://cleffairy.com/things-ive-learned-through-scuba-diving-in-limited-visibility-dive-spots/
Yups, I’m a huge advocate of being more confident in the water and mastering your skills first before signing up for ‘license upgrade’. Apart from that, I’m all for diving with instructors that I can trust my life with. So after logging more dives my guide, (now instructor) asked me if I would like to sign up for Advanced Open Water and upgrade my skills. This time around I said yes. By the time I decided to sign up for this I’ve logged more than 20 dives. I’ve grown more confident and comfortable in the eater and I was itching to challenge myself. I was ready to do deeper dives, and even night dives.
This is my instructor from I-Divers. Muhamad Arif, whom I fondly called Abang Arif (Habang Ostat).
All geared up and ready for my Advanced Open Water Course
There are a few things that you need to know about Advanced Open Water Course. First, you are expected to know all the basics. And unlike the Open Water course, Advance Open Water course is designed to help you upgrade your skills as well as your max depth. As an Open Water Diver, you are only allowed to go to a maximum of 18 meters. But as an Advanced Open Water Diver, you are allowed to dive up to 30 meters max. Apart from that, you’ll also be allowed to dive at night with your buddy.
There are no written exams for this course, but manuals will be given and you’re expected to do some knowledge reviews with your instructors.
The PADI Advanced Open Diver’s syllabus that my instructor designed for me includes:
-Deep diving
-Night and limited visibility
-Peak performance buoyancy
-Navigation
-Search and recovery
You’re required to do 2 pool sessions (at instructor’s discretion. This can also be done in the open water) and 2 open water dives. Generally this takes about 1-2 days to complete.
Here’s sharing with you my experience during my PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course.
Our instructor teaching us how to use the compass
Learning to navigate on land first before we jump into the pool and do it again underwater. I was taught how to set my bearings and navigate in repricopal line. Apart from that we were also taught how to use the compass to mark patterns under the water to ease our directions. It was confusing at first but now I can navigate better with my compass.
Happy faces. These are my classmates for the day.
Time for pool session. Our pool session took place at Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan (PADE) at Shah Alam, Selangor. The pool’s max depth was 5m deep, perfect for training dives.
Class in session with my fellow dive buddies
Peak performance buoyancy. We’re taught everything about weighting, trimming, and extensively on how to control our buoyancy in this session.
Yours truly performing hovering skills.
Peak performance buoyancy. Hovering with my classmates with Jalur Gemilang by the end of the session.
Search and recovery session requires you to search for objects that has been dropped in the water. We were taught multiple search patterns during this session.
Open water session in the lake- Deep dive. We dive up to 22m deep during this session.
Getting ready for night dive&limited visibility
Although I’m quite familiar with this particular dive spot, this is the first time I dive at night over here.
It’s totally a different environment. It’s abit intimidating, but at the same time, I can feel the thrill.
But all is well, and I managed to performed all skills to my instructor’s satisfaction and I was finally certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver. Yay to that. I can now legally dive deeper and go for night diving with my buddies.
Special thanks to my instructor Abang Arif aka Habang Ostat. Thank you for being part of my diving journey and thank you for making the educational experience a happy one.

Anak Datuk K, Asyraf Berubah Disebabkan Azizan Osman
Anak Datuk K iaitu Asyraf Khalid dulunya bukan seperti sekarang.

Hidup Berubah Sejak Ada Mentor
Kata Luahan Dari Datuk K Mengenai Azizan Osman
“Azizan memimpin tangan mereka semua, tunjuk mereka mana longkang, mana tempat nak kena langkah, mana tempat nak kena lompat, awak semua (rakan usahawan jutawan) sangat beruntung.
Kata Datuk K lagi,
Tahniah Diucapkan!

Perkongsian Mentor Usahawan : Datuk Wira Dr Azizan Osman
Program Live Session Bersama Datuk Wira Dr Azizan Osman

Things I’ve Learned Through Scuba Diving in Limited Visibility Dive Spots
I went exploring the Saujana Putra Lake again over the weekend with my husband and my dive buddy.
This weekend dive marks my 9th freshwater, limited visibility dive. My first two was in Empangan Semenyih, Selangor while the rest was at Saujana Putra Lake.
It may not be my first limited visibility dive, but each of these dives still feels like the first to me. Most dive buddies in my circle are are sea divers. Naturally, diving in the sea, especially tropical ones like in Malaysia is like exploring paradise. The tropical sea water is nothing short of crystal clear, and a home to abundance of marine lives. The only time Malaysian seas and islands gives bad visibility and weather is probably during monsoon season, which unadventurous and untrained divers commonly avoid for safety reasons.
Many of my dive buddies cannot understand why I’m so fond of lake diving. Lake diving is not the same as diving in the sea, especially in Malaysia, as the visibility can be as crappy as 0m-1m max, but I’ve learned plenty of things through freshwater lake diving:
* I learned to be more mindful of the weight I carry and to make extra effort to watch my buoyancy. Kicking mud up is a no, no. As it will make things worst for everyone.
* It builds alot of confidence and I’ve learned to be calm and not panic in alot of underwater situations.
*I’m not a patient person, but this help me have compassion and be more patient towards those who are diving with me.
* Limited visibility trained me to be more observant towards the surroundings. If you are not observant, you cannot spot anything at all and you wouldn’t be able to enjoy your dive.
* I learned the importance of exposure suit and how dressing up for the occasion is helpful in protecting you from hazards and unexpected injuries.
* I learned to quickly adjust to the changes of temperature and visibility; cuz there’s thermocline here. The temperature can be warm one moment and the very next moment at the same depth it can suddenly turn very cold. The water colour changed drastically too at certain depth. One moment it can be clear green then the next moment it can be yellowish or muddy.
*I learned to make effort to be alert all the time.
* I learned to make effort to be more self-reliant instead of totally relying on my guide or my dive buddy to keep me safe, as losing buddy and direction is really common when you dive in limited visibility.
Despite of this, I still have more to learn. To me, as long as I’m a scuba diver, I will always be a student diver. The learning will never stop, and I will always need instructors and more teachers to teach me and guide me. That’s the most funny thing about learning. The more you learn, the more you realized that you know less. It’s really humbling, if you ask me.
One thing for sure, this will definitely not be my last dive here. Some stuff I’ve learned here, is not something I can cultivate in pool trainings. I’m itching to do more dives at this spot, especially night dive. There’s even more to see at night over here in the lake.
Freshwater limited visibility diving is not for faint hearted scuba divers or freedivers alike. If you’re not adventurous and have no sense of adventure, you wouldn’t be able to enjoy it, but if you’re someone who doesn’t mind going rugged and extreme dive, then you should give this a try if you haven’t yet.

New Year’s Eve Flood Relief Charity Lake Dive with iDivers
2021 was a challenging year. Not just for me but for everyone else as well, I’m sure. Covid19 is still raging, but despite being thrown into nationwide lockdown during the first two quarters of the year, I’m glad there’s growth where personal development is concerned. These are some of the things that I should give myself credit for;
*
I took up plenty of diving specialty
.
I got certified for Nitrox.
.
I went lake diving for the first time at Semenyih Dam and fell in love with lake diving.
.
I was awarded Specialty Diver by SSI.
.
I attended first aid classes, learned how to provide first aid, perform CPR and use AED and I’m now a certified Basic Life Support Provider.
.
I started learning Qigong and Taichi, and ended up doing it consistently
.
I learned how to wield cold weapons and I can now play with sword and sabre.
.
I learned the art of meditation and mindfulness.
.
Come to think of it, it’s not exactly a year wasted. I’ve made plenty of good progress, and that’s really a lot in comparison to the years before Covid. The best part of all? My social circle is now full of people who helped me grow and push me to be the best version of myself. And speaking of people who empower one another, I decided to end end 2021 meaningfully with a splash, and kicked off 2022 with a big splash as well. Literally. And figuratively. And how was it splashy? Well, I went for the new year’s eve and midnight countdown charity dive organized by iDivers and #habangostatclan. If you are a Malaysian, you are probably aware that the nation was shocked by the recent flood disaster in Klang Valley and many has lost their homes and belongings. In the spirit of #kitajagakita, iDivers decided to organize a flood relief charity dive. Here’s sharing with you the faces of my buddies who were there that night, hoping to have some underwater midnight fun at the lake and at the same time, help out our buddy in need.
Dive pros from SSI, PADI and IANTD worked hand in hand as our dive guide that night.
Behind the scene before our night exploration.
Equipment check
Me and my husband. He was my dive buddy that night.
With Ms. Syahnaz and Anna Maria from KAIA Underwater Academy
My new dive buddy, Ms. Ain
New dive buddy, Ms.Echa
With Colonel (Dr) Mohd Hafizi, Senior Consultant Emergency and Hyperbaric Medicine at Hospital Angkatan Tentera Tuanku Mizan.
Dive briefing was done by Instructor Arif from iDivers.
Instructor Arif, making sure everyone understands the dos and don’ts that night before our dive.
Now, most of us are just normal civilians, and we are not trained or qualified to be in the front scene to help flood victims, but as scuba divers, we certainly can dive for charity.
Diving for charity
All proceeds for the donation drive and the new year’s eve and midnight countdown dive that night goes to one of our dive buddy who is affected by the recent flood disaster. Any extras would be donated to the needy as well.I don’t know what’s in store for 2022, and I don’t have a resolution for it. All I’m hoping is that I will be empowered and my days will be happy and blessed with no worries.Thank you buddies for making such beautiful memories. You guys are awesome.

GT-Racing Ergo Z Gaming Chair Review
I’ve been contemplating of a workstation upgrade and change my not so comfy office chair to a better one, but I can’t find any good deals that’s worth my money, so I’ve been putting it off, until I saw this one, the GT-Racing Ergo Z Gaming Chair. To be honest, I was aiming to get the TT Racing Duo V3 Gaming Chair, which costs about RM350 during sale and RM500++ during non sale time. This is abit over my budget, and did not exactly have the function that I wanted.I wanted the reclining to 180’degrees position and adjustable arm rest. The entree level TT Racing Duo V3 Gaming Chair does not offer this function. It can only be adjusted to 150’degrees and the arm rest is not adjustable. There’s also this annoying cushion at the front crotch area that I don’t really fancy. There are other TT Racing Gaming Chair that offers the functions that I wanted, of course, but they’re the higher end models and abit on the high side of the budget as well and I wasn’t willing to spend such exorbitant amount of money.
After browsing and weighting my options, I settled with this GT-Racing Ergo Z Gaming Chair. It has all the features that I need, including reclining to 180’degrees, which will allow me to lie down for a nap and adjustable arm rest. The best part of this is that it costs me only RM290 including delivery, which is below my budget for a new office chair upgrade.
So, am I happy with my purchase? Yes, definitely. No regrets. The GT-Racing Ergo Z Gaming Chair is not only affordable, but very comfy too. Here’s sharing with you what I think about it;
.
Design: It’s pretty much like other gaming chair in the market, but still smart and sleek. The ergonomic shape with wing-like backrest really does follows your body shape. It’s practically the sports car seat design and somehow made you feel like you’re sitting in a sports car seat.
.
Comfort: Very comfortable. The paddings and cushions. It comes with two extra external pillows as well for your neck and your waist.Swivel: Yes, the chair allows smooth 360’degrees swiveling.Adjustable height: Yes, you can adjust the height as you like.
.
Reclining: Able to recline from 90’degrees up to 170’degrees, which is great for any setups, be it for work, gaming or leisurely movie watching session. It’s also nice to nap on it. All you need to do is just pull the lever and make it recline and you’re good to go to Dreamland.
.
So am I happy with my new GT-Racing Ergo Z Gaming Chair? Yes. I’m definitely happy with it. Although the chair does make you feel a little hot due to the faux leather material, it’s still comfortable to sit on for long hours as the cushion paddings is thick enough to support my weight. Sitting on the chair makes me feel like sitting in a comfortable car seat, going on a roadtrip somewhere and it’s really a good feeling. The only thing it lacks to complete the fantasy is just a Bluetooth speaker blasting my favourite traveling songs.
If you’re looking for a budget gaming chair with features that’s offered in higher end gaming chair, this GT-Racing Ergo Z Gaming Chair is quite a good bet, I must say. This gaming chair is available on Lazada and Shopee for less than RM300. To get more value for your money, I recommend you to get this during sale where you get further bonus discounts and free delivery.
