Simple and Easy DIY Haircut and Makeover

Salon is closed due to endless lockdown in Malaysia and my hair is getting too long and unruly. It’s been exactly a year and two days since I last had a haircut and here’s sharing with you how I cut my own hair and give myself a small makeover, in case you would like to do the same too.

I learnt this from TikTok, so here’s sharing with you ladies who might want to give yourselves a hair makeover.

I don’t have any professional haircutting tools, so I just made a grab for my kitchen scissors to get it done in just two easy steps.

1. First use a rubber band and tie it up at the front to give it a trim with scissors.
2. Second if you want your hair layered, pull all your hair in front and tie it up with a rubber band and cut off about an inch for a soft layer. If you want an obvious sharp layer with a side bang, give it a two inch.

My hair colour has already faded and it looks annoyingly unsightly with my black hair growing out, so I decided to colour it too. I’m not hair colouring expert so I used this idiot-proof hair dye; Liese Bubble Hair Color. It’s as easy to use. All you need to do is just mix it up and apply the solution as if you would a shampoo, let it sit for 30mins before washing it off.

Not too bad, coverage is okay and I think it does make me look brighter and more cheerful. The hair colour should be brighter under the sun in a few days, so hopefully it’ll look more striking after a few more wash.

Can finally sport my favourite ‘Dragonball’s Bulma’ hairstyle after the haircut as the hair is no longer so long and heavy.

My favourite look whenever I go for events or covering for press conferences before Covid era.

The ponytail I usually pull up into whenever I dance to Kpop cardio workout songs or when I’m practicing Qigong and Taichi.

Used to tie up a half ponytail like this whenever I chillax with my friends over a cuppa in cafés before Covid.

Ladies, just because you are in a lockdown and you have to stay home does not mean you should just give up on looking presentable. Trust me, looking presentable will also bring yourselves good vibes and pleasant feelings for the people around you, so yea, if you feel like giving yourselves a haircut, a makeover or dress up simply because you feel like it, just go ahead and do it.

It’ll be a huge lie if I say the endless lockdown is not affecting me mentally and physically. I’m not sure how it’s like for everyone else, but the endless lockdowns in Malaysia and a whole long list of restrictions does affect me terribly, considering how active a person I was during the pre-Covid era. Living in uncertainties and being under ‘home arrest’ does not sit well with me.

I threaded the so called ‘new normal’ battling with depression as well as severe panic and anxiety attacks whenever I see bad news floating around on my social media’s timelines.

I lived in a very dark place for quite some time. I lived in a limbo and it is not until February 2021 that I started to slowly reclaimed my life. I looked at myself in the mirror and thought how awful I have become and how disgusting it is that I just live my life by doing merely these; eat- watch dramas- sleep- repeat. And how stupid I have been living my life by just doing the same thing over and over again daily and having no progress at all where it matters.

I decided that living such a life will destroy me both mentally and physically and I have to do something about it, and I did. I was determined to live an active and a healthier lifestyle even under a lockdown and emerge a healthier person before Covid19 strike.

I took baby steps in reclaiming my life by continuing to continue my scuba diving education by taking up dry specialties even though diving is still not allowed yet and I decided to take up martial arts to boost my stamina and my confidence. My choice of practice; Taichi and Qigong. It’s a gentle energy art that actually helps in slowly boosting your stamina.

Sword practice is also a part of the Taichi class’s lesson and it’s one of my favourite weapons among all to practice as it helps me to dispel negative energy and helps me de-stress effectively.

A friend recently commented that I looked good in the pictures I’ve shared on my social media. It’s really a nice compliment, but good health takes a lot of efforts, actually. There’s no short cuts about it. Apart from taking care of myself physically, I also watched what I eat. I forgo unhealthy food and choose to consume food grown from plants instead of those made in plants as well. Apart from that, I also supplemented my health with vitamins and collagen.

PTTI lancar aplikasi pembelajaran dalam talian SPM

KUALA LUMPUR: Pusat peningkatan akademik dan pakar dalam membantu pelajar Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), PTTI melangkah setapak lagi seiring dengan peredaran masa apabila muncul dengan aplikasi pembelajaran khas atas talian sendiri.

“Pelajar SPM juga boleh belajar secara atas talian menerusi aplikasi terbabit. Malah mereka juga dapat menonton ratusan video ulang tahun teknik dan skil belajar secara percuma,” katanya.

Menerusi pelancaran aplikasi itu juga pelajar SPM boleh melayari aplikasi www.MampuSkorSPM.com untuk memuat naiknya secara percuma.

“Pelajar juga boleh memuat turun aplikasi ini sama ada di App Store untuk pengguna Iphone atau Playstore (android).

“Ini masanya untuk pelajar SPM terutama calon peperiksaan itu mengakses ilmu dan dapat belajar percuma dengan aplikasi ini tak kira di mana saja anda berada,” katanya.

Ketika majlis berlangsung selain video perasmian aplikasi itu ditayangkan, penerangan mengenai ciri ciri yang dibina dalam aplikasi turut dilakukan.

MK serta artis lain turut berkongsi pandangan dan pujian mengenai muat turun dan penggunaan aplikasi terbabit serta berinteraksi dengan Pengurus Besar PTTI,
