OLVESTON, Montserrat – St. Martin linguist and author Dr. Rhoda Arrindell is to discuss how the preservation of our dialects is necessary for nation building at this year’s Alphonsus “Arrow” Memorial Lecture.

CHTA Education Foundation Wraps Largest National Training in 36-years on the Turks & Caicos Islands

PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos – A record 415 participants from the hospitality & tourism sector across the Turks & Caicos Islands have completed a 24-day intensive training program facilitated by the CHTA Education Foundation.

Dominica Stages Successful World Creole Music Festival

Roseau, Dominica – After a two-year hiatus, Dominica has staged a successful World Creole Music Festival as part of the island’s 44th Independence celebrations. The festival hosted 23 artists, 11 of which were “local” or Dominican artists in the genres of Cadence-Lypso, Bouyon, Compas and Dancehall. Miss Montserrat 2022 Pageant Cancelled

Montserrat Arts Council (MAC) on Friday announced the cancellation of the Miss Montserrat pageant which was slated to be held as part of the Carnival 2022 celebrations in December.

MAC Director, Kenneth Silcott said “The Board of Directors has taken the decision to cancel the event as it became clear they would not be able to deliver a show that would meet the standards befitting of the 60th year of the festival.”

Montserrat Arts Council Releases St. Patrick’s Festival 2023 Calendar

LITTLE BAY, Montserrat – Saturday, March 11 to Sunday, March 19, 2023, have been announced as the dates for the St. Patrick’s Festival in Montserrat.

A calendar for the nine-day festival which commemorates the 1768 uprising on St. Patrick’s Day has been made available by the Montserrat Arts Council (MAC).
