The Year to Live Fearless!

My motto for a very long time was Do it Afraid!’  It needed to be because I was always scared. Yes, I learned to work through the fear, but it usually meant losing lots of time working up the courage and overcoming analysis paralysis.

In 2023, as I was faced with making some tough personal and professional decisions, the instruction from the Lord, was Do not Be Afraid.

That made me pause as I wondered whether it was possible to live a life without fear, not just choosing to work through the fear...

One of the things you learn to do when practicing for your driver’s license is to reverse.

The real ones know how to reverse the vehicle with only the use of the rearview mirrors, rather than having to turn in your seat to look over your shoulder.

It’s safer to use your mirrors as you can have a full range of view in front as well as know what’s happening at the back of the vehicle.

The end of another year seems a suitable time to look back but be careful.

I couldn’t get comfortable enough on that seven-hour flight to fall asleep. I watched old movies and TV shows between spurts of guilt for interrupting the guy sleeping soundly on the aisle.
