HALLE’S LAWYER PLANS TO USE PAPS

According to TMZ, Halle Berry is calling paparazzi, Andrew Deetz, as a witness in her fight to move her daughter to Paris. She and Deetz got into an argument when he appeared at her daughter’s school a couple of weeks ago. Halle’s lawyer plans to use their altercation and Deetz tactics in family court.

Maybe it’s just me but I think this strategy is pretty manipulative. It could back fire on her. Who am I kidding? It’s Halle.

MARVIN WINANS LICENSE SUSPENDED

According to The Washington Post, gospel singer and Reverend Marvin Winans has learned that his license is suspended just days after making national headlines as a victim of a carjacking. The good news is that they found the guys that made off with his car (and his pants). The bad news is he wasn’t supposed to be driving in the first place.

This masseuse situation isn’t getting any better for John Travolta. The National Enquirer is printing pictures of the actor in drag, claiming that he wasn’t auditioning for a role. They also allege that his wife of 20+ years, actress Kelly Preston, has left him.

THE USHER AND TAMEKA SHOW

That’s what it felt like this week watching videos from Usher and Tameka’s showdown in court. The two are battling it out for custody of their 2 children, Usher V and Naviyd. The judge heard from former nannies, as well as Usher about the contention between the two. One hot spot was Usher’s claim that Tameka tried to attack his girlfriend when he dropped his oldest son off at her house. Tameka’s lawyer fought back with accusations that Usher slept with one of Tameka’s bridesmaids.

I can't say that I saw this coming but it's coming. Whitney Houston's mother, brother, sister-in-law, niece and daughter will star in a reality show about their journey to healing after the late singer's tragic death. According to various sources, The Houston Family Chronicles will appear on Lifetime.

I think the fact that they chose to pursue a reality show with Lifetime speaks to their effort to keep the show in decent taste, which is good. I do wonder why they didn't wait until next year t...

HUDSON 911 TAPES

This week, jurors in the case against Jennifer Hudson’s brother-in-law continued to hear evidence. He's charged with killing the singer's mother, brother and nephew. Among the evidence heard was the 911 call placed by Hudson's sister. In the call, her sister told the dispatcher that their mother was dead and she didn’t know where her brother was. Hudson has been attending the trial and recently testified to her brother-in-law’s relationship with her family.

Founding member of the Beastie Boys, Adam Yauch (better known as MCA), has died of cancer. According to The Los Angeles Times, the rapper was 47 years old and had battled the disease for the past 3 years.
