Beneficial meditation...
Meditation is such a personal thing and each of us do it in our own way. ALL of those ways are right, because meditation is just a way of calming ourselves, bringing all parts of ourselves into harmony with the divine and clearing away anything that no longer suits our purpose or well-being.
Our bodies naturally meditate. Every time you drift off into a day dream or find yourself staring off into space not looking at or thinking about anything...you're meditating! YAY!
Meditation doesn't have to be hard OR prolonged. In fact, if you're anything like me, sustained and lengthy meditation gets under your skin pretty quickly.
If meditation becomes a chore or just another part of a routine that "has" to be done, then it really isn't beneficial to you all that much. Meditation that you approach with joy and enthusiasm, that suits your own style and personality and that you genuinely enjoy on the other hand, brings amazing benefits!
Let your body take over during meditation and allow it to set the pace and the length of the meditation. Meditate and Medicate sound so much the same because they are! Meditation is really beneficial to your physical, mental and spiritual well-being and is a brilliant way to lift your energy and make you feel refreshed and whole.
No matter what you choose to do to meditate, or how you choose to do it, it's the fact that you DO that is really important.

Release your need for everything
Sometimes, I know it has happened to you too *smile* the reality and situations I am manifesting just don't happen in the time that I have designated, in other words, not fast enough! Other than the factor of divine timing, where everything happens as and when it "should" for the most desirable outcome, there are some other factors that may be involved.
If you are trying too hard to make something happen, rather than just letting the situation unfold with trust and faith that all aspects are being taken care of, then this can actually low the process down. Trying to force the issue by trying to control it and "make" it happen may be one reason why your desires aren't materialising fast enough for you.
Do you doubt? Somewhere in your subconscious, or even in your conscious mind, you may doubt that you are either able to manifest your reality, or you question your worthiness for having all the things you desire. This will also slow down the process because the universe will act on your thought.
If you are trying to control HOW your desires manifest, this may also slow things down a bit. Have the intent and the outcome firmly fixed in your mind....this is the power of manifestation. However, trying to determine EXACTLY how each step is going to work and how, will act to slow down the process too.
Playing the blame game is a big one too! Blaming others for something "not working" (and this also includes blaming yourself) tends to focus on the now, rather than on the what will be. Anything that removes your focus from the outcome, is something that will also slow things down.
So, if any of the above things strike a cord for you and ring a few bells, then there is an amazingly simple solution that will work for ALL of them... surrender! Release your need to control everything other than the outcome. Keep your eyes on the prize so to speak, and leave the incidentals in the hands of the divine. I achieve this through a statement of intent (often repeated if necessary) along the lines of, "I release my need for control and I ask my team to guide and protect me in realising my dream." Nothing complex or earth shattering, just a statement of how I want my situation to be. Like I said, sometimes I have to repeat this statement a few times, sometimes I repeat it a lot, whatever words and number of repetitions work for you really. The important thing is to release the dream to the universe and let the divine take care of shaping the reality.
When you release a dream to the universe, you allow it to unfold with the guidance and assistance of the divine in the best way possible. If you try to force or control the dream, you tend to stall the process a little and allow anxiety, doubt and conflict to smoother the dream.

Why don't you ask?
One thing I have never fully grasped is the concept of a hierarchy when it comes to the divine? I don't really understand why some people choose to believe that angels or any other divine entity think they are better than us or more worthy or in any way that something might be beneath the notice of our divine team? There's nothing wrong with this view point, I just don't understand it.
In my view, our divine team work with us towards common goals and to meet our contract (the one we agreed to before we came) and we act in concert, as a team, without judgement. Since this is my view point, then I don't feel there is ANYTHING I cannot ask for help with no matter how big or small it may seem.
Small things tend to seem big when we are in the middle of them anyway, so the "size" of a problem or situation is a matter of perspective, so why not ask?
There is no such thing as "asking too much" of your divine team. They are linked with us in order to help us with anything and everything. They are never "busy" helping someone else with something bigger, there is no one more important to them than you in the moment you need them. This is the decided advantage to being divine I would say; the ability to help everyone all at once! The divine is unlimited, the abundance and prosperity of our universe is infinite, so why not ask?
Great or small, our divine team is ready and willing to help us with anything!

Breathe fire into your soul

I think that deep down, we all know the truth that inside all of us is all the knowledge we will ever need to live a life that we deserve and that we wish for.
This all starts with passion!
When you engage in activities that you are passionate about, the difference is palpable. Your energy level is higher, your enthusiasm is genuine and attractive to others, your soul is nourished and you can function at a far higher level than when you are doing activities you don't feel passionate about.
Activities, issues and situations that make your soul sing, that fill your belly with the fire of purpose, that surround you with an air of enthusiasm and joy are your life's purpose.
You can find these things by looking at the topics and activities that are constantly in your thoughts and that you think about often...they will call to you. Discover what stirs your soul and ignites your sense of purpose and then (and this is vital, so I hope you are paying close attention *smile*) make time for them. Maybe at first, you can only squeeze in an hour or two a week, maybe more or even less. Making time for the things you are passionate about is vital to living your dream, because it is these things, these passions that will lead you to the path you chose to travel.
Finding time for your passions is an essential investment in you, and the pay offs are unbelievable.

Surrender your fear
After cutting the cords to all situations, people and feelings that no longer serve me, I sometimes feel that there is more, that I want to do something else, because although I feel better, I still find I am fearful as well.
Other than repeating the action of cord cutting, the best thing I have found for me is making a little ritual whereby I can release all my pain, negativity, fear and references to the past to my divine team to take care of. They are far better equipped and more emotionally removed so therefore better qualified to deal with any fears, stresses and worries I may have. *smile*
Instead of wresting, struggling and "battling" with my fears and pain (highly combative words) I choose instead to release them all to my team; a united and divine team working with me to achieve all I choose for myself.
One of the many ways I create this "ritual" is to write down all of the things I fear or that have caused me pain, even if it is just an indefinable feeling and I don't know for sure what the source is. Then, I burn the paper, as the smoke drifts up, I ask my team to take it all and relieve me of the burden so I may focus instead on divine and perfect health and living with joy and love.
Another method is to place the paper in a hole in the garden, putting a rock on top of it. I ask the earth to take these fears, worries and pain from me and absorb it back into itself.
So many others, but essentially all the same.
Surrender all of your fears, worries and your pain to the divine; harmony is achieved through love not fear.

Cord cutting...
One of the greatest things I have EVER learnt in terms of freeing myself from guilt, fear and a life driven through ego and need was cord cutting. Each time we come into contact with someone, have an experience (especially an emotionally charged one) or even just walking through the world, we form attachments that stay with us. I see these attachments as cords that tie us to the past, that anchor us in those experiences. Cutting those cords, and letting go of those experiences and emotions is a beautiful and freeing experience.
Now, your brain will try and tell you that holding on to those moments is how you protect yourself, remembering past pain is how to avoid further pain. In actual fact, the attraction principle applies here. By holding onto painful experiences and encounters, you are asking the universe to provide you with more or similar experiences.
Cutting the cords is a really simple thing to do. Sit in a quiet and safe place. Close your eyes to remove all outside stimulus and distraction then simply ask your divine team, angels, spirit, the universe, to remove the ties anchoring you to past pains and hurts. Let love wash over you, breathe deeply, and experience the calmness and lightness that will come over you.
Repeat this process regularly. When I first relearned this truth/practise, I was cord cutting 5-6 times a day until my body developed a "muscle memory" for cord cutting. Now, as things occur, the cords are cut automatically.
By cutting the cords to our past, we adjust our awareness and conscious mind to thinking about love and harmonious things, therefore, that is what we will attract.

"Potentially" limiting
One of the things I know for sure is that words most definitely do have power! We think and write in words and we create. As I was saying yesterday, this means that is is worth taking note of the words and the types of words we are using everyday.
One of the words I have the MOST problem with is "potential", I know, I know, this seems like an innocuous enough word right? Not really.
When you are talking about yourself in terms of "your potential" you are describing a state of being, or a state you "can be" if you choose; this is the context in which I have heard it said most often. Using the word "potential" seems to me that there is a definite amount that we have or don't have, it seems to me, that the use of the word "potential" actually means that we can go so far, but no further than that. Even if you are using the word to describe something far higher, better, stronger etc than your current way of being and seeing, it still implies that at some point, you will have reached a limit where you can go no further.
I have used and in some instances continue to use the word "potential" because it is an awesome way to "crow bar" someone out of their comfort zone in order to help them...for myself though...I don't need to see outside the box, or discover my true "potential", I prefer to focus on the intent that there is no box.

The benefits of stillness and silence
I am often so busy that when I get time to myself, I don't really know what to do with it...a million and one projects, incomplete tasks, "obligations" and many other things instantly pop into my brain and then I attempt to choose between them since alone time is usually limited. The "task" I get the most benefit from and try to have/do most often, is to sit in silence with myself, in the stillness of my garden.
Initially, when there is silence, my brain tries to fill the space and goes in all different directions at once. I let my brain wander through things for a bit since this is a good way of determining the specific things I need to let go of, however, after a few minutes, I ask my brain to be still and open the floor to my heart. *smile* I know the difference now between my head and my heart when I hear them through one important aspect. My brain usually takes me to negative, uncomfortable, embarrassing or hurtful places; rehashing things I would rather let go of, inducing me to feel all over again the way the moment had me feeling when it happened. My heart, on the other hand, takes me to joy, love, bright and shinning future images, creativity and positivity.
This is one of my primary connections with my divine team, where I get answers, where I have the opportunity to ask the questions, and to immerse myself in the loving comfort of the divine.
When you're so engaged in the business of your life, you can forget sometimes the amazing benefits of silence and stillness in nourishing your soul and reconnecting you with the divine.

You get what you ask for...
Have you ever noticed that the more often you think of something or about something, the more likely it is to occur? This is the law of attraction; the universe will act to provide you with what you think the most about.
It works for all aspects of our lives which is why our choice in words and language are so important. We think in words you see, and if you often use combative and confrontational words like struggle, hardship, difficulty and problems...then guess what you get more of???
I know when I first heard this concept, I was really angry. When I first heard that the life I am living is a result of my own choice, I was furious; I ranted and raved at an unjust universe, I disbelieved the whole deal, I mean, who would CHOOSE the life I was living at that time? So guess what I had more of for a while? Anger, frustration, fury...damn *smile*
When I embraced this concept, well life most certainly began to change, just one little thing at a time. Those little things though, added up over a very short time.
I am going to take this concept one step further though...what you see when you look around you, at your world, your reality, your situations and the people in them, you will get what you expect to see. What you find, will depend totally on what you are looking for.
If you look through the eyes of love and beauty and forgiveness (rose coloured glasses if you will) then that is what you will find in people, places and situations. If you look, and the filter you have developed through your experiences makes you anticipate pain, deception and angst, then this is what you will find.
This is why it is so important to let go; let go of your past hurts and the pain, let go of the need to control things, let go of past "failures" and instead, actively look for beauty, light and forgiveness.

STOP giving negative people permission...
OK, so, a bit of a rant today *smile* I have just spent quite a while talking to a dear and loved friend who definitely needed a shoulder to cry on tonight. She is having some difficulty with some people who are being really negative, malicious and down right nasty to her and about her. She has done nothing to draw their attention; yet, as I spoke to her I realised she could be telling my story, or anyone's story at any particular time, and I instantly knew the "mistake" she had made, and that so many of us make.....
By listening, continuing to spend time with these people and buying into the situation, inadvertently, she has given them permission to not only to continue, but to have an impact on her life and well being.
It really is simple...don't let them! Take back the permission you gave, surely you don't mean it??????
Simple to say, yet not so simple to do in a lot of situations I know. *wry smile* There are millions of techniques you can use to start you on the path of dismissing these actions, and even these people. I have talked about some of them before, but I'll give you a bit of an outline of some of the things I use when I find myself falling into this trap (don't get me wrong, I still get caught on occasion, yet with these tools, I think I stand a really good chance of getting out, or not falling in at all)...
1. Smudging:- imagine writing on a black board and then running your hand across it. The words get "smudged" and begin to have less impact straight away. The more often you wipe your hand across, the less legible and impacting the words until from one moment to the next, they are not there at all. This is smudging, and it works on negative people too. Mentally wipe your hand across the board whenever a negative person starts to enter your thoughts...keep doing it, every time; ask your team to assist as well...soon, they won't bother you any more.
2. Ask Archangel Michael to set really strong and clear boundaries with/for you:- Quite simply, get some protection, imagine Michael's bright purple light surrounding you, put a crystal in your pocket...whatever works for you. Give out your intention to be protected and impervious to negativity and it makes a HUGE difference. At the end of each day, I also ask Michael to cut the cords to all situations throughout the day so that nothing stays with me into sleep or the next day.
3. Disengage:- It is not easy to see actions for what they are when you are totally and emotionally engaged in the situation. A really useful tool I have discovered is to firstly ask your divine team to help you see the trap (that is negativity designed to draw you in by either getting you to respond, or making you feel hurt). When these situations come up with people I know to be negative, I find myself saying (inside my head), "ooooh, that was a good one! Interesting trap...not going to work, sorry!" It is so much easier to see the trap when you can remove the emotion.
4. LIMIT the time you spend "venting":- It is so eassy to get on the phone to a good friend and spend hours just rehashing all the yucky stuff, and this is even good for you...unless of course you let it go on too long. Then, all you're doing is feeding all those situations and people, giving them energy when really, you should be shutting them down.
There are so many, many more, but these four are the one's I have found the best. People have a right to choose their own space, actions and way of being; we have no right to try and change them, it's their choice! So THE most important thing to remember is that judging people for their negative actions, is actually not our right! Send them love, smudge them and move on.
