Four people were injured in a car accident in Niederkassel-Ranzel. Around 18:00 on Friday evening, a 38-year-old driver crashed into the car of a 53-year-old man from Niederkassel while turning in the area of a gas station. This was reported by the police.
In the collision, the driver was injured, as well as the 13-year-old passenger and the 18-year-old daughter of the 53-year-old man. Rescuers took the victims to hospitals. The two cars were towed in the evening, and the material damage was about 15,000 euros. Feldmühlestrasse was closed during the operation.

Phil Lesh, the bassist and co-founder of the cult group “The Greatful Dead”, has died
Musician Phil Lesh, who co-founded the band Grateful Dead, died on Friday (October 25). His death was announced on social networks.
The music world mourns Phil Lesh. The bassist of the cult group “The Grateful Dead” died on Friday on Lesh’s Instagram account: “Phil Lesh, the bassist and founder of the Grateful Dead, passed away peacefully this morning. He was surrounded by his. family and full of love. Phil brought a great joy to all around him and leaves a legacy of music and love,” it said. We also ask that you “respect the Lesch family’s privacy at this time.” Lesh was 84 years old and the cause of his death is unknown.
Lesh has been a part of The Greatful Dead since its inception. After the band broke up in 1995 following the death of lead guitarist Jerry Garcia, Lesh played in several bands, including the Other Ones, but also founded Phil Lesh and Friends.
In 2015, Lesh went public with his bladder cancer diagnosis.

A gas explosion this morning caused the collapse of a building in La Albericia street, c Santanderand a search is underway for three people who may be on the property.

A field hospital was also set up on the street near the fallen building. At the event are the regional president María José Sáenz de Buruaga, the mayor of Santander Gemma Igual, the government delegate in the region Eugenia Gómez de Diego and the councilor in charge of the regional emergency services, Isabel Urrutia.
