new & improved address for Facebook fan Page
I've now set a "username" of "webbiegrrlwriter" for the fan Page on Facebook. If you're a member of Facebook, you can now type in the MUCH easier to remember address "http://www.facebook.com/webbiegrrlwriter" to end up at my fan Page. Woo-hoo! Actually, it's a big deal because it's a royal PITA to give out the address without this shortcut. About time Facebook! Now if Pages could only communicate with fans ...but then, that'd be too much like something useful, now wouldn't it? :) Gotta love FB and yet we all still flock there. Hmmm...

Book Launched Successfully
I've reported this elsewhere but I wanted to setup a Goodreads blog area anyway, so I'll repeat myself a bit.
The book launched over the weekend last weekend, and on Sat/Sun, March 19/20, I offered a 75% discount to my Webbiegrrl Writer fans on Facebook. In 8 hrs on Yom Shabbat (Sat) 7 people bought a copy of the book, the first one paying full price (yay for you, my #1 customer, whoever you are!)
On late Mon afternoon, March 21, the book FINALLY went "live" on Amazon and before I managed to find it's URL, it had sold itself to 2 customers! Oooohh...ahhhhh...the book can sell itself? Nice!
I prefer to keep reviews here on Goodreads where readers can just discuss books honestly and openly and not be concerned with sales and where to buy something. If it comes down to it, although I get better royalties from sales directly from Amazon, I prefer to send people to Smashwords. Plus Smashwords has (a) free sampling and (b) multiple formats available.
I highly recommend the Kindle Reader format, even if you buy from Smashwords. The Kindle for PC is great on my Win7 laptop, Kindle for iPad is much nicer and easier to use than Stanza or *shudder* iBooks and on my phone, the Kindle app for Android is the only thing I can actually read without having to put on my reading glasses first! That right there is an accomplishment warranting an endorsement for Kindle free software. I don't particularly like the Kindle device, though. Personal taste. I just love my iPad more :)
