An excerpt from my next book - if it only had a title #eroticromance
Yea - I'm still working on that title thing. But as it turns out the stand alone Book With No Name has turned into a trilogy - which of course they are called - Book With No Name 2 and Book With No name 3.
Scene set - Darien was partying at a private club. A triad hit squad killed everyone but him. Now he's on the run.

Darien dropped back onto his haunches and waited until the spasms in his stomach calmed. Footsteps from above reminded him of his mission. Get out. Alive. He stood, turned, slipped in the puddle of blood, steadied himself and exited the small office. Ahead, above the door, was a burned out Exit sign. He glanced around. No one. No one - alive. Placing his hand on the door, he pushed it open then stepped outside. As it clicked shut behind him, he pumped his fist in the air. He'd made it. He was safe. The cool night air washed over him. He inhaled the air of freedom and choked. The putrid odor from the dumpster next to the door ripped the breath from his lungs. Stumbling forward, he gasped as he trudged through the dark alley. He tripped over trash and a drunk's extended foot. The grungy man swore and threw an empty bottle at him. It missed and shattered on the pavement.Darien's eyes watered. The smell repulsed him. He couldn’t escape it. No matter how fast he moved. He glanced down. His hands, shirt and khakis were covered with every vile thing he'd just escaped from. His knees buckled and he tried to throw up anything that remained in his stomach. The spasms racked him. Nothing released. He rested on his hands, waiting until the spinning in his head slowed. He stood and lurched forward. Stepping out of the dimness of the alley into the neon-glare of the main street, he glanced right and left. A chic couple frowned and stepped around him, their noses wrinkled in disgust. The woman’s stiletto heels tapped a fast rhythm as they hurried away. He stepped to the edge of the sidewalk and flagged a cab. When it slowed, he reached for the handle. As he bent to slide in, the cabbie yelled something and sped off. Darien lost his balance and smashed onto the pavement. His head bounced. Stars flashed before his eyes. The blast of a car horn and the screech of tires made him snap his eyes open. He crawled back to the sidewalk and sat, leaning on a lamppost. The stupidity of the whole scene welled up in him. He wasn't sure whether to laugh or what. It was Songkran; the traditional Thai New Year festival. Brilliant yellow, green, and red banners and lanterns decorated the brightly lit streets of Bangkok. People danced and laughed as they walked along the sidewalks. Darien turned his head and shivered. There, fifty feet away, hidden in a private club, was death and terror. And what the hell was he doing in the middle of it?He braced his feet against the sidewalk and pushed, shimmying his back up the light standard. His cellphone pressed into his back hip. He ripped it out his pocket, slammed his index finger against the screen and scrolled down to his brother's name, Brian. Pressing the phone to his ear, he glanced around. Was anybody watching him? Double-checking no one was, he lowered his head and walked away from the club."Oh, you so have to be kidding." His brother's voice filled his head."Shut up! Shut the fuck up. I'm in trouble. I'm so screwed. Come and get me."A distant male voice floated through the cellphone.Darien frowned. "You got someone with you?""Yea.""Shit, get rid of him. You can fuck him later. I'm at … I was at the Dragon. Shit went down. I gotta get out of here." He had to fight to keep his voice controlled and not draw attention to himself. "Where are you?""On Sukhumvit. I think I'm heading east. I can see the sign for the Purple Peacock up the road a ways.""Okay. Stay in the Peacock's parking lot. I'll be there in—crap, it'll take me a good twenty or twenty-five minutes to get there." The cell went quiet.Darien gulped. Twenty minutes. Could he get to the parking lot, hide and not be discovered in what seemed like an eternity of time? And where could he hide? The way his night was going, if he hid under a car, it would drive over him. He chuckled. Could always stand in the middle of the lot with my hands over my eyes, playing ostrich.Police cars raced by, lights flashing, sirens blaring. Darien heaved a small sigh when they passed without noticing him."Hey, baby. Wanna have a good—" The bleached blonde streetwalker blinked and stumbled back, raising her hand to cover her nose.Great. Rejected by a hooker. This was supposed to be the start of my vacation. Not the end of my life.

A SEALed for You/Hot SEALs crossover novella for Cat Johnson's Hot SEALs Kindle World by Marissa Dobson

After sustaining injuries in the line of duty, Trever Alexander was forced to leave his SEAL team and all he worked for. In the midst of considering a job offer with GAPS, he was thrown into an assignment, one that brought him face to face with the woman he’d left behind.
One day Allyson Mason is living a normal, quiet life, and the next she is on the run. She doesn’t know who or what she’s running from. All she knows is that if she wants to stay alive she has to keep moving. She calls the only person she knows that might be able to help.
Chased by both physical and mental horrors, Trever and Allyson must put their emotions aside and work together.
Buy on Amazon Excerpt:
She turned around to face Trever. “I can’t leave Texas.”
“The fuck you can’t.” He now stood near the window, his back still to her. “You’re in danger here.”
“Don’t you think I realize that?” Her voice rose, which was better than giving in to the tears she wanted to shed. How had everything worked out like this? It was supposed to be a simple run to the store, then Anthony threw everything away and dragged her down with him.
“No, I don’t.” Trever turned back to look at her, his hand gesturing toward the door. “Otherwise you’d have been more careful. What the hell were you thinking, not even bothering to put the latch on the door? Are you hoping they catch you?”
“I…I…didn’t think…” she stammered, knowing she had messed up. If Trever had gotten in without her hearing a sound, anyone could have. Someone else could have been waiting for her when she exited the shower completely unaware.
“You’re right, you didn’t think, and you could have gotten yourself killed.”
He stood there unmoving as if she went through this type of shit all the time. She was out of her element and she knew it. It was why she’d called Brier.
“You’re the fucking SEAL, not me,” she spat. “It’s not like I run for my life every other day. I don’t know what the hell I’m doing!” She sank down onto the bed again and stared at the floor. “Maybe I shouldn’t have run. If I’d stayed I—”
“You’d be dead,” He finished for her. He came around the bed to stand in front of her. “A drug deal? Damn it, Allie, are you hooked on that shit?”
“What?” She looked at him, blinking as she tried to adjust to the sudden swing in the conversation.
“If you’re messed up on that shit I need to know. I can’t have you strung out. In order to get you out of here I need you with a clear head.”
“I thought you knew me better than that, Trever. I don’t do drugs.” Tired of her emotions pulling her in two different directions she forced herself to look away from him and let her gaze fall onto the duffel bag that held everything she now owned, which wasn’t much. “Just get out. I don’t need your help.”
“I think you do.”
“You left me…” The words were out before she could stop them. That simple statement was the root of the newest turmoil inside her and was the one reason she was rejecting his help, though she hadn’t meant to verbalize it. She didn’t want him to know that she still missed him.
“That’s not what this is about.”

From FL.E.S.H. - Your cell's beeping. Text message, I think. #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #MSS129

Welcome to the 129thweek of My Sexy Saturday.
This week’s theme: Our Sexy Mystery
This week’s theme is Our Sexy Mystery and this is our nod to the mystery and romantic suspense authors.
The only suspense story I have - I am currently working on. So let's try a moment of heartbreak and confusion. About as mysterious as I get.
From FLESH - After a passionate night of love making - Fuchsia gets a disturbing message from her mother.
Peyton tapped her shoulder. "Your cell's beeping. Text message, I think." He rolled over. She picked up her cell and swiped the screen. Blinking from the brightness of the screen's glow, she read the text from her mother.Oh, honey. I just heard. You must be devastated.Pushing back the covers, Fuchsia slipped out of bed. Peyton moved, but settled back into his sleep. She grabbed an oversized sweater and tiptoed out of the room. Turning on a single light in the hallway, she sat on the top step then keyed a message back to her mother. What are you talking about? Devastated about what? Her mother's reply came in an instant. A URL. Fuchsia's finger trembled as it neared the screen. What could be wrong? Had something happened to Dad? No, Mom would tell me. She tapped the screen. It lit up with the glow of a burning building. The title on the screen read: SCHOOL BURNS.Frigid dread filled her.

FL. E. S. H.FLame's Electrifying Sexy HeatWhen secrets conflict with dreams, love explodes.
After a mistake by a surgeon’s scalpel shattered Fuchsia Quinn's dance career, she picked up the pieces of her life and moved forward. As the owner of a small, struggling dance school in a depressed neighborhood she supplements her income with a late night job at a dive bar. Haunted by the fear of humiliation, if her secret is revealed, her life was under control until the night he walked into the bar.
Peyton Lang, having run from a bad neighborhood, lives the lifestyle of a successful billionaire. Frustrated that his current multi-million dollar project is stalled, Peyton drops in to LEATHER-ICIOUS for a simple drink and late night entertainment. What he saw was a beautiful redhead. What he found was he wanted her.
After a lusty night with a hot pole dancer, Peyton and Fuchsia's worlds are about to collide.

What people are saying about FLESH5 Star ***** This short story has all the qualities of a great story and it is all compacted in a manner that makes for a satisfying read. Ms. Devore has convinced me that I need to read more of her books, especially if they are written like this one was. One has the initial attraction between two people, their getting to know each other, the misunderstanding and the makeup between them...what more could one want???? Worth the read.
5 Star ***** Ms. Devore has done it again. As one of my favorite, and most anticipated authors, I found myself riveted to the characters and the surprising plot twist that threw me for a loop. I read all her books...what can I say.
5 Star ***** I had never read any of Daryl Devore's books and man, am I glad I read this one! Peyton is the guy we all want and Fuchsia is a girl who is not giving up on her dreams. When the two collide, everything is turned upside down and the result is hot, but also laugh out loud funny. I will definitely have to read more of Devore's books!

Another Sexy Snippet from Twisted Fairy Tale - Sexy Red Hood on Friday Snippets #FridaySnippets #erotic #romance

From my twisted fairy tale - Sexy Red Hood -Red was just woken from a hot sexy dream by her annoying alarm clock. She doesn't want to have to face another Monday at work.
Monday. The day I get to put up with Mom's questions of what I did over the weekend. Did I have a date? Or why not? Why won't she get out of my love life? What? Does she think I'll never find anyone? As she rubbed the soap over her body, her mind drifted back to the dream she'd had and the touch of her fantasy man's hands and lips on her body. Warmth grew between her legs. Her nipples hardened to the touch as her fingers rippled over her soft breasts. She leaned against the cool tiles enjoying both of the sensations of her caressing hands and the water streaming down her body. While her left hand teased her nipple, the right slid down her soap-covered body until her fingers entwined in her trimmed bush. She shuddered as her middle finger moved lower and brushed across her clit. Languidly, she skimmed her finger across her button, barely allowing it to touch her super-sensitive flesh. Reaching down to the base, she flicked her finger upward with gentle strokes on the underside of her clit. Each touch deepened the ache growing inside her pussy. Damn. Wish I had my dildo. Red inserted a finger into her wet pussy and strummed her nub with her thumb. With water massaging her neck and cascading down her breasts, she thrust her finger in and out pushing herself toward sexual ecstasy. Her knees buckled and she slammed her free hand against the shower wall to stabilize herself. With heart pounding and breath coming in deep gasps, she lost herself in the sensations she caused in her body. Her thumb alternated between flicks across her clit and circles around it. Inserting a second finger, she gasped at the tingle, but didn't break the rhythm. Deep within her the orgasmic wave began to build. Each stroke pushed the moment closer. Every caress on her button drove the arousal higher. "Oh, this feels so good. Ah!" Her hand slipped down the wall, but she didn't stop stroking herself, driving her body to the moment of ultimate release. "Oh my God. Oh!" The orgasm convulsed though her body. She lost her grip on the wet shower wall and sank to the floor. She pulled her hand from the depths of her pussy, relaxed and let the shower water continue to flow over her. Rising she shut off the shower, stepped out and dried off. After dressing, she walked to the kitchen, grabbed her bagel and poured a cup of coffee. Carrying both into the living room, Red turned on the morning news. No miracle had occurred since the radio's alarm went off. The traffic was still a mess because of the snow. No sense driving in this. I'll grab a cab.

Blurb - “Go save your Grandmother.” After learning her grandmother booked a cruise with a supposed gigolo and is squandering her inheritance, Esmeralda (Red) Hood boards Emerald Forest cruise ship to protect both. Once there, Red slips and falls into the arms of Wilhelm Olf, a dark-eyed, continental who makes her body tingle. Stepping out of the elevator, she barges into Andrew Woodsman, a bumbling private school teacher on his first vacation cruise. With her attention torn between the dissimilar but sexually-intriguing men and keeping watch over tequila drinking, rock wall climbing grandma, Red's cruise is filled with fun and erotic fantasies.Grandmother's warning of Never trust a wolf in sheep's clothing leaves Red confused. Later, when she wakes up in a utility closet, hands and feet bound and emerald necklace missing, Red discovers the man she suspected is not only innocent, but also the one she loves. Amazon
Kobo What people are saying about Sexy Red Hood5 stars - An excellent retelling! This is quite a different retelling of the classic Little Red Riding Hood that we are all accustom to. It is definitely an adults only version, but a great one at that! I loved that there was a bit of mystery added in and even though the names gave a bit away as to who was who, you still weren't sure who Red would finally have in her bed. The fact that this took place on a seniors cruise was an added touch I really enjoyed. And the roll play at the end of the book was just so fitting!! I would definitely recommend this title and I will be reading more from this author.

13 sentences from my latest work in progress on Thursday 13 #Thurs13 #amwriting

Darien is running from a very bad night.
"Shit!" Darien slammed his hand on the table. "The cops are gonna want to know what I know about this. Bleeding Sun is gonna wanna know if I saw their shooters and Nai Jâhng's gang is probably very curious about how I ended up being the only person who got out alive. They're gonna assume I was involved." He rested his elbows on the table and dropped his head into his hands. "I am so fucked.""Not necessarily."Darien's brow furled as he stared at Stewart, who waggled his eyebrows at Brian."Brilliant." Brian grinned at his brother. "Question. Can you walk in high heels?"

A shorty excerpt on this week's Wip It Up Wednesday #amwriting #wipitup

From my Book with No Name #1 - hopefully going to edits soon. Just waiting on my beta to finish her read-through.
Darien escaped an attack on a club. He was the only one to get out alive. Now worried that the Triad and police are after him - he's hiding at his brother's apartment.
Yes - it's a shorty post this week - mostly to drive Meredith crazy - lol.
Darien glanced at Stewart."Dye his hair blond and shave the face fuzz and no one's going to know who he is."Brian pushed his chair back and stood. "Pretty drastic, but a good idea until you get out of here." He tossed his dishes in the sink.Darien rubbed his chin. "Won't be on tour for a while, so I can always grow it back. And I don't want to die and I'm gonna if they find me."Sandee swallowed the last of his breakfast. "Do you know if they are looking for you? The cops, I mean.""I'd say they are." Lennie looked up. "Watched the news this morning and the cops have the security video from the Dragon. They did a body count and you're missing. They have your face on the TV asking if anyone's seen you.""Shit!" Darien slammed his hand on the table. Darkness Undone

BLURB:A fading realm, a warrior bound, and the woman who will save them both…
Bound to a vengeful goddess, immortal warrior, Reynner, has little time for the fairer sex. The last thing he wants is to be aligned with another female, even if she is the key to finding an artifact and saving his realm. But his stone-cold resistance is tested, his attraction undeniable for the feisty mortal, until she demands the one thing he cannot give her…his trust.Eve Leighton avoids intimacy of any sort after an accident in her teens left her with a painful ability to see into another’s mind through physical contact. When an ice-cold warrior claims she is his world’s savior, she’s intrigued, until she dares a look into his soul and sees a man who’s been cruelly betrayed. She agrees to help him and loses her heart. But the man is an unassailable fortress. With quiet determination, she chips away his barriers and a passion darker than night pulls them under. As his enemies close in on the hunt for the artifact, Reynner must overcome his own personal demons as battles are fought to claim the woman he loves or lose her forever. And Eve has to face her own mortality and fight for a love of a lifetime.
Excerpt (R)He lifted his head. His skin pulled taut across the sculptured bones of his face. “You think I don’t want you? It’s been pure torture, Eve.”“I don’t know what to think anymore,” she whispered. He stared at her for a long second. “Undress.”“What?”“Undress, Eve. Now.”At his demand, she swallowed. She would be naked in front of a man who showed no softness. Had none to give. Still, she wanted him so badly; it hurt just to breathe. With trembling fingers, she reached for the first button on her shirt, but her hands shook too much. The next moment, he reached out and swiftly undid the buttons and peeled her top off. He tossed it aside. Warm, callused palms slid to her back and her bra followed. Goosebumps flooded her skin at the cool air. Her nipples hardened. At his dark, caressing stare, she covered her breasts with her arms. He shook his head. “Don’t.”He moved her hands away. His gaze slowly swept down then up again. Reynner trailed his open palms up her stomach to her cup her breasts. Squeezing gently, he pressed an open-mouthed kiss on the scar on her left breast, then dragged his tongue over her nipple, leaving behind a trail of heat in its wake.Oh, God! Eve shuddered, her body thrown into a whirlpool of sensations. His leathers creaking, he hunkered before her and snapped open the button of her jeans. He unzipped, then parted the fly, and dragged another heated kiss down her stomach.Eve grabbed his shoulders as he pulled the denim down her hips. She stepped out of them, and he tossed the garment aside. He bit her stomach, eliciting another shudder from her. With his teeth, he caught the edge of her panties and pulled the scrap of cotton down her thighs, yanking them off.He was at eye level and could see her—would see everything. Instinctively, she flung one arm across her breasts and the other covered her femininity.“Eve.” He removed her hands, keeping them in a gentle but firm hold at her sides. “Look at me.”Heat washed her face. Her heart raced. Biting back the urge to cover herself again, Eve met his burning gaze. Sunlight filtered through the treetops and dappled his pale hair in shimmering gold and silver hues. He was so beautiful.“You are beautiful, Eve.”The intensity of his stare made her tremble. And just like the time in his room, he was crouched before her once more. Except there was no fear in her now. Instead, desire and a deep yearning to be in his arms took hold.“Reynner, please…kiss me.”He did.

Excerpt:ELEVATOR MAGIC“You know what? You can take your job and stick it.” Mad as hell I grabbed my purse and stomped out of the little cubicle I called my office. I was done here and I was never coming back and fuck the giving notice part. The elevator always took ages to creak its way between floors and I could feel the stabbing pressure of what felt like a thousand eyes in my back. Of course they were all watching. They’d been waiting for something like this to happen for twenty months. Just then melodic chimes signaled the arrival of the executive elevator. The one that normal people like me are forbidden to ride in, the one for the exalted rich and the bosses who live in the penthouse. I wanted to escape the avid looks that were directed my way and, what the hell, what could they do anyway? Sack me?So I stepped into it. I turned and, just before the doors closed, got a good view of open mouths, staring eyes and was that…envy? It certainly looked like it from where I was standing. As the doors slid silently shut, I raised my hand and gave a little finger wave.
The car was bigger than my bedroom, and a thousand times more luxurious but I hardly noticed the mirrored walls and the thick-as-a-mattress carpet. My attention was caught and held by the two guys already in there, one on my left and one on my right. My gaze darted between the two of them and I felt guilty colour sting my cheeks. I hadn’t expected company but I wasn’t objecting. These guys were fit and built. One dark-haired and smoooooth, the other blonde and just-got-in-out-of-the-wild rough. And I knew them. Brandon Shaw and Mitchell Graham owned the company I work – ooops, scratch that – the company I used to work for. I’d met them at work events, like the Christmas party and the Halloween party and the Employee of the Year party. I’d seen them a couple of times from a distance. They always had a flock of female employees around them. I’d heard people described as chick magnets but only realised exactly what it meant when I saw these two. I used to feel their magic pull yet always stayed away because initially I was in a relationship, and then afterwards was suffering from a broken heart and struggling to cope with a job where my ex was screwing a colleague. Pity my ex didn’t take a leaf out of these guys’ books – there was never any suggestion that they had slept with anyone from the company. Which meant in the end that there was a gentle rumor that they were a) gay, or b) didn’t like vanilla and went for the more exotic, with their tastes catered for elsewhere.I positioned myself with my back to the wall and let my gaze slide over them. To my right was Brandon. He’d taken off his suit jacket and had it hooked over one shoulder. Beneath the fine fabric of his shirt I could see the hard muscle of a broad chest, arrowing down to a pair of narrow hips and a huge bulge... Oh man.I licked my lips and dragged my reluctant gaze away to focus on his face. He was watching me scope him out. There was a hard predatory glint in his eyes. Heat speared through me from my cheekbones to my pussy, part embarrassment and part desire. I squeezed my thighs together to stop the growing ache. I quickly glanced away and found myself checking out Mitchell on my left. He was slightly shorter than his partner, and seemed kinder and less predatory too. His eyes were a softer green, more jade than emerald. But his shoulders were as wide and he sported an identical erection. Were they lovers? A pity for womankind if they were gay. What a loss.I shouldn’t be in the elevator with them in the first place but the new militant me with nothing to lose didn’t care. So instead of fixing my gaze on the floor and fighting the temptation to look again, I enjoyed the view. They put my slimeball ex to shame and my panties grew damp while they silently watched me. I wished that I was wearing something a little less conservative when the elevator jerked to a sudden halt. Not a nice, slow, we’ve arrived kind of halt but the scary kind. The lights went out.Panic dug its claws into me, not letting go even when the emergency lighting kicked in.“What’s happening?” I didn’t even try and keep the terrified squeak out of my tone.“Hey,” Brandon said softly, “it’s going to be alright. They’ll have it fixed in no time.”“It’s broken?” I hated the idea of being shut in closed spaces, and the car, despite its size and luxury, suddenly felt very small. I couldn’t bear to spend hours locked in here hanging over all that empty space. The walls closed in, my hands and feet went cold, and I struggled to breath.“Now you’ve done it, Brandon.”“Easy.” When had they got so close to me? I was crowded by two warm male bodies that smelt good. Having them so close, almost touching me, took my mind off the elevator.“Rub her hands, Mitchell. Get some warmth into them, she’s freezing.”Mitchell sandwiched my hands between his palms and rubbed hard. The movement distracted me, not because he was making my hands warmer, which he was, but because he kept bumping my breasts. Awareness rushed through me and my nipples went hard as cherry stones and poked at my blouse. Brandon’s hands rested lightly on my hips but they might as well have been brands. I could feel every finger as if there were no clothing between us. Woodsy cologne, mingled with clean male musk, swirled around me. My pussy creamed and I couldn’t help it; my wayward body leant back until I was pressed hard against Brandon. His cock, huge and promising, seared my lower back. I couldn’t prevent a small sound escaping. I felt my cheeks go hot. What must they think of me?Mitchell’s expression was rich with satisfaction in the dim light.“Shall we carry on distracting you, baby?”I shivered, my panties drenched as my body answered the question for them. Brandon nuzzled the sensitive spot beneath my ear. His voice rumbled right through my body as he asked, “Ever been double-fucked before?”The crude honesty of his question embarrassed me and I couldn’t answer. Then I forgot what he asked because Mitchell dropped to his knees in front of me. His hands stroked slowly up the back of my thighs. They smoothed over stockings, and then paused when they reached my lacy garters.

Scene set- Billionaire Derek Davenport, after a rough day at works, changes into his secret persona of construction worker. He heads off to a bar to spend the night with his drinking buddies. One convinces him to place an ad "for a woman". This is the end of his day.
Derek walked to his car, mentally calculating his blood/alcohol level. Should be below the legal limit. But barely, crap, shoulda paid more attention to the number of beers. Guess I shouldn’t drink angry. He put his key into the ignition.Returning to his penthouse apartment, Derek collapsed across his bed. He rubbed his face and sighed. A hangover and chairing a board meeting tomorrow, the two things he despised most in the entire universe.
