2010 World Fantasy Award eligible material

June 30th is the last day for members of the most recent WFC and the current one to nominate. You can do so by email to Rodger Turner or by paper ballot, that must be postmarked by June 30th.

Just found out, after being out all evening that I won the Locus Award for Best Editor! I'm really really pleased.

Finished The Girl Who Played With Fire and am on The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest-enjoying it so far.

Watched Paul Newman, Melanie Griffith, Bruce Willis, and some other folk in Nobody's Fool, based on the novel by Richard Russo. It's about a depressed town in upstate NY. Newman is a 60 year old living alone for decades after he left his wife and son when the boy was about a year old. Son and wife and two kids come for a visit. Everyone's really good in it and Newman deserved his Oscar. I...

The Ditmar Award (formally the Australian SF ("Ditmar") Award, and previously the "Australian Science Fiction Achievement Award") has been awarded annually since 1969 at the Australian National Science Fiction Convention (the "Natcon") to recognise achievement in Australian science fiction (including fantasy and horror) and science fiction fandom. Well, not exactly. I think he chose his words poorly but I don't think he means "lesser" I think he means "less advantaged monetarily. However, I think this whole video is very interesting. Not sure I understand it all but I think think interviewer is more correct than Simpson....
