I KEEP MY WATCH CLEAN WITH THE HOPES THAT THESE HOURS WILL NOTICE THE DETAIL TO ATTENTION I HAVE PAID THEM

I have a biggish thing over at Cloud Rodeo indirectly involving Blake Butler, which is to say the piece was partially inspired by something Blake said to JA Tyler in an interview earlier this year in Monkeybicycle. I am nothing if I am not a mutt spider. Go read TOUCH MACHINES.

Wherein today, I am all Housefire & tiny cast unicorns, & we are all of us genuinely interchangeable some funny kind of way. Thanks, HF Gang.

TAG TEAM PHOTOGRAPHY LIKE WHOA

Jennifer and I are both UTTER No. 3 contributors this time around. She kind of dusted me & published two photos to my one. Show-off. Go dig!

I BELIEVE IN THE MUTINEERS

I have a photograph & two accompanying poems published in the Disembodied Faith issue of Disembodied Text. There is also Mike Doughty. Dig them, please. Help them to make me proud & stuff.

“This submission attempts to explore the duality of faith and everyday imagery–the way one person can see god in a field, while another simply sees a field. Both poems are ekphrastic takes on the photograph (mine), and both use seemingly opposing lines from a Mike Doughty song to help further set them apart while maintaining the thread.”

HOW I SENT YOU FLOWERS ON YOUR BIRTHDAY & YOU TRIED TO EAT MY NAME

I need to share this for those who haven’t yet seen it. Okay, actually just because I want to. Thunderclap Magazine boss Amanda Deo gives life to a poem I wrote for Shawn Misener & Ke$ha, which can also be found in text form at Clutching at Straws. These people are those good ones, people.

HOW I LEARNED TO BE A BETTER MICHIGAN AMERICAN WHILE CLUTCHING AT STRAWS WITH SHAWN & KE$HA

I wrote a poemy thing for Shawn Misener & Ke$ha in hopes that the two will one day reconcile their differences & finally come together to record an album of Whitesnake & CCR songs in the key of Michigan major. It’s so cold in the D sometimes. It’s much warmer at Clutching at Straws.
