SHORT, FAST, & DEADLY PUSHCART PRIZE NOMINATION

Endless gratitude to the Short, Fast, and Deadly gang for nominating my poem, “Bruises/Insect Exchange (Footnotes to an Excerpt from Jane Hirshfield’s ‘Bruises’),” for a Pushcart Prize. Additionally, thanks to all who actively read and support my work. Seriously.

TAKE HEED FOR I AM SNOW ETC

Short, Fast, and Deadly published a mash-up poem I scrawled with sticks into the ashes of “50 Shades of Grey” and “The Divine Comedy,” titled simply TAKE HEED, FOR I AM SNOW PATROL BLARING & OLD, BURNT IN BY THE FLAMES, & KATE IS WALKING FROM HER CAR AS I HEAD OUT THE DOOR, & I WAVE & DON’T STOP FOR THE INQUISITION; THE FLAME IS EXTINGUISHED &, STILL, IT GRIEVES ME TO REMEMBER. Thanks, Parker and Joseph, for rocking with me. (Pro tip: Be sure to continue to the second page.)

REGARDLESS OF AUTHORITY

I have many pixels and word things in the forms of photographs and an interview published by the good folks at Regardless of Authority. Thank you for having me, Aleathia and Michael!

SHADOWS OF THE FUTURE, AN ANTHOLOGY

This is a nice surprise today. I have a couple of wacky word crawlers lurking between pages inhabited by the auras of friends and brilliant folks like Keith Higginbotham, Howie Good, Joani Reese, Aleathia Drehmer, and many, many more. Download and dig on the Argotist Otherstream e-book anthology “Shadows of the Future.”

LOST IN THOUGHT, Issue 5

Folks, I am tremendously—with a capital TREMENDOUSLY—pleased to announce the release of Lost In Thought Issue 5, where I share space with rock star friends like Amanda Deo and Mary Stone Dockery. I cannot recommend more whole-heartedly that you grab a copy of this. Thank you Kyle Schruder and Robert Vaughan for including my work in what might arguably be the best looking lit journal around.

Photography in ARDOR Literary Magazine

I have a photograph in the new issue of Ardor, which accompanies their 2013 short story contest winner. Good company, obviously. Excellent journal. Kind editor. Class digs. Hang out a while.

KMD AT THE HTMLG

I gave Kristina Marie Darling’s excellent book Petrarchan the ol’ 25-Point treatment at HTMLGiant. Thanks, Brooks, for giving me a good place to sit and talk lit to myself.

ERIC PANKEY’S “TRACE” REVIEWED AT THE FIDDLEBACK

I reviewed Eric Pankey’s poetry collection TRACE at The Fiddleback. (Scroll down to the bottom.) It’s a beautifully brutal and haunting thing, this book. Highly recommended for readers who love minimalism that is anything but.
