#WeNeedDiverseBooks summer reading series! If you liked Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo, try Drift by M.K Hutchins because both are high fantasy tales full of intrigue, strong world-building, and action.

Can’t wait to check out Drift!

Genya, David, Tolya, and Tamar from Leigh Bardugo's Grisha Trilogy.

Haven’t used a mechanical pencil in awhile!  This story has such great secondary characters.

Nilah, Cassie, and I are going to the Fierce Reads Block Party tonight.  Catch me for a free Shadow and Bone doodle  (I have purple hair.)

((If you miss it, I’ll also be at SDCC on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.))

Go see her!! The brilliant fictograph is at SDCC!

Can’t get over how wonderful these are. Ugh. THE BEST.

Truly great couple of days at Comic Con. Two fun panels with authors I adore, got to borrow a splendid helm at my signing (because if you see a free helm you should ask to wear it), amaaaazing Legend of Korra panel (this season yo), Laini!Laini!Laini!, and elevator selfie in which I look waaaay too chipper.

Can I be a fabrikator now?

After the grand finale of Ruin and Rising, I was feeling a little down because my journey with my favourite characters have come to an end. I really wanted to have a physical piece of the Grisha with me, so I came up with this mixed-media compact. I repurposed an ugly looking mirror using different types of materials, and surprisingly, it turned out okay! I’m just super happy that I’m no longer Grisha swag-less (lol) and that I can bring it everywhere with me. I’m thinking of making a compact for the other two books but we shall see.

Seriously the Grisha Trilogy is probably one of the best things I’ve ever come across, so thank you Leigh (@lbardugo) for sharing this marvellous world with us! I cannot wait for the Dregs ^^

Fabrikator status unlocked!! So clever and beautiful, and dang it, I want one!

(Also thank you for the very kind words

Instead of doing my homework I did this little little fanart. I call this ‘productive procrastination’. It’s rough and messy but hey, it wasn’t supposed to exist.

I think it’s lovely and haunting.
