The concluding installment of the Grisha trilogy was by and far my favorite of the three. After a dizzying adventure through plot twists, character development, and action, upon turning the last page I found myself utterly bereft. It will be a while before Alina, the Darkling, Mal, Nikolai, and the Grisha world will leave my thoughts and imagination alone.

Ok the crazy thing? Back when I was a makeup artist, I worked on a shoot with a model named Nikkia. The image at top right of the girl with gold freckles is from that shoot.
