Sanhedhran

Here is the description of Rautu's home: Sanhedhran

The Crab Asaan is native to the northern islandsThe commander noticed the giant's renewed hint of distress and obeyed his order without a dry word of disagreement. She followed him toward the sanded roads leading to the chief of the capital's bustle. There were many intriguing sights to occupy her upon her arrival into the center of the island's activity: an array of exquisite and colourful birds flurrying through the dense leaves of the ...

Story for the Day: Famous

I'm doing a lot of edits on the books to prepare them for publication. Therefore, here is a mini story for the day.

Famous Rautu does not care that he saved your grandma                Once Rautu had consumed his fill of mediocre cake for the present, Hathanta suggested Haakhas before they were all to settle in for the evening. They gathered before the lit hearth of the main room and sat in their positions to begin their practice. Hathanta and Rautu were given the honour of beginning the...

Story for the Day: The Journey

Doing a lot of editing and rewriting. Here is something new from the book:
Rautu spent the chief of his time on the main deck of the vessel glorying in the temperateness of the day. He occupied himself with his Haakhas meditations, the Haanta droning ruminations taken from their sacred scriptures to be performed at the sunrise and sunset of each day, meant to ease the minds of their afflicted males, and once the morning passages had done, he began performing the Haakhas of the Amghari...

The Commander and the Den Asaan Rautu: Prologue

but it could be fantasticNot a new story today, folks, but an edited one. I cut out nearly 1000 words from the book's prologue and re-wrote many parts. I think it's better now.
The Haanta                Captain MacDaede was given charge of a small regiment of men and stationed in the Amene outpost along the border between Frewyn and Gallei. The two neighboring nations though alike in their histories had become dissimilar in their customs and their disputes over the matters of land and...

Mean Ol' Crab Asaan

If anyone remembers the wonderful book Arty the Smarty, you'll remember Mean Ol' Crab, Arty's nemesis. I remarked yesterday that Rautu reminded me very much of him. Observe:
You see the resemblance.

New Art: Adaoire and Ms Mandidoun

New drawing from Twisk of Adaoire and Ms Mandidoun from book 10. She says it's a WIP. I think she is lying.

Story for the Day: A Farmer's Supper

A Farmer's Supper Adaoire and his woman                It was one evening when Adaoire returned home to the farmhouse from an arduous day of work. He removed his cap as he entered his residence, wiping the sweat from his brow and sighing over the exertion of the morning. His mind was caught in deliberation over the coming frosts and how his plantation would have to be done with prudence before the soil became too melded with frozen dew. His eyes were low in contemplation until his caught...

Story for the Day: Semblance

Rautu does not care about your pie.Semblance                 The Den Asaan was enjoying his peaceful morning by the fires of the commons' hearth. The Frewyn spring had come: the birds were regaling the glory of the day with chirping song, the warmth of the sun's rays ebbed between the cracks of the commons' windows invading the main room with a quiet temperateness,  and yet the giant was unappeased. It was colder than he should have liked for a supposed spring morning. It had been a great...

Story for the Day: Story Time

Story Time                 After a long stay in on the islands, the commander was gratified to return to the cool auspices of the Diras castle keep. The atmosphere of her residence, though decidedly frigid according to her mate, was not unwelcome after spending the better part of the season in the damp warmth of the north. She was tired from the journey home but felt an even greater exhaustion surmounting from having been so sleepless while on Sanhedhran. Finding rest in heat was always a f...

Story for the Day: Tyferrim Guilt

Boudicca and Sheamas in TyferrimTyferrim Guilt                With everyone arrived at the cottage, they began dividing the various rooms with regard to the great number of occupants who would be present for the entirety of the stay. It was decided that those from the islands would be situated on the lower floor and those from Frewyn would be on the upper. The kitchen was large enough to accommodate the whole of the gathered party and everything was done in a matter of a few moments with...
