Do you imagine Charlotte ever becoming Batgirl? In my head that's her endgame.
I honestly don’t think Charlie was meant to be Batgirl. She just wouldn’t have the focus required.
She actually WAS almost Batgirl. When DC wanted to reboot Batgirl, they were going to use Charlie.
I created her, I love her, I would likely have benefited quite nicely from her being Batgirl, to be honest.
But I thought it was an uncomfortable match. I felt she was too much a metahuman to be in the bat-family and it would throw off the Gotham dynamic. I wrote the DC heads a long letter about it, explaining why I thought it was a bad idea.
That’s why they went with Steph, eventually.

It’s a problem, anything I say is just going to upset some people. But at this point, it’s clear that Robin or Batgirl are just not possible right now (though I would LOVE to have had Steph be Batgirl in canon during Barbara’s absence).
SO, either a new name, or Spoiler. I’ll be blunt, I don’t think Spoiler is the best name ever. But there’s tradition there, and history.

Plastique was suggested by an editor, the others were all characters I loved for one reason or another.

Did you ever have any plans to revisit Thorn or Vixen in BOP?
Well, I’m not writing Bop, and I think they just had Rose and Thorn in a comic, but it’s a different version than mine.
Not sure. I’d love to write Vixen again!
Edited as a poster has pointed out that perhaps the question was speaking of the past, did I have any plans for those two characters that I wasn’t able to get to.
Absolutely. Rose was going to run Dinah’s floral shop when Dinah was on missions, and Vixen was going to full-on join the team. That was right before I left the book for Wonder Woman.
