I’ve been meaning to upload this for a while! This is the Catman collage I made for thewolverina(’s partner’s) PS3.
Well, this is awesome. :)
Also, for people who complain (understandably) about the way females are dressed in comics, I would like to point out that WE HAD BLAKE BUCK NAKED EVERY POSSIBLE OPPORTUNITY.

How is it even possible, with panels like this, that Babs/Dinah isn’t a canon couple?
It does seem impossible!

Happy Birthday Aaron Lopresti!
Lopresti has drawn alot of comic women and is the current artist on Amethyst on Sword of Sorcery. Here’s a look at some of his takes on the women of DC.

Captain Marvel!
One of my FAVORITE artists to work with, I found myself bringing in characters to Wonder Woman just to see how he would draw them!
He gave me the very first page he worked on, Diana as a barbarian in the snow. It’s amazing.
Happy birthday, pal!

I'd disagree that what happened to Babs in "Killing Joke" was just shock value because it was necessary for Commissioner Gordon (and unbeknownst to Joker, Batman) to prove Joker wrong in his thesis that "one bad day is all it takes to drive someone over th
The concept oesn’t need to be examined, it’s goofy as hell.

Pretend you're an editor at DC comics back in '88, and Alan Moore says he wants to have the Joker shoot Barbara Gordon in the spine. No idea of Oracle has yet been floated. Would you allow the story to go forward?
Not as written, no. People will hate me for saying this, but just dumping Barbara like that, it was just cheap crap shock value, like she wasn’t a person at all.
Alan Moore’s a genius and even he disavows the book for the most part.
Is it just me, or was Babs usually drawn with bigger gobangaloos as Oracle than she was/is drawn as Batgirl? Could this have been because the artists thought that it was the only way to show a disabled girl as attractive? This is just speculation, of cours
This stuff is always tricky and each artist does it differently, sometimes Oracle was downright Power Girl-esque.
With Batgirl, she’s much younger and she’s supposed to have more of a dancer’s figure (ballet), which still could mean many different things.
As I say, this stuff is always tricky. I want a variety of body shapes in comics, and every artists seems to bring their own feel to it.
