DCU and me, baby: So,

DCU and me, baby: So,:

hatebunnyoncomics:

I just finished reading Christy Marx’s first issue of Birds of Prey, and you know what?

I barely noticed a difference.

This isn’t a bad thing. Starling’s goofy smack-talk is still there. She didn’t kill off half the cast and start afresh (as many new writers tend to do).

Perhaps what is…

I spoke with Christy Marx at some length, and it was immediately clear how seriously she took this assignment. I feel pretty confident the Birds are in great hands, honest. She was concise, articulate, and passionate when talking about them. I immediately thought she was awesome.

My favorite Lantern, no question about it.

I never realized that three of the five JLAers here are black, that’s kind of nifty.

Every time I see Vixen, I just think she should be a bigger deal in the DCU. Great look, great powers, great attitude, I just love her.

Somehow I doubt that a bachelor party thrown by the Justice League for a physics professor would be that much fun anyway.

On the one hand, I appreciate that they actually acknowledge gender inequity but…man. That hurts to read.

I have yet to wear this most excellent of shirts, mostly because the bright white never works on me. But tomorrow morning I’m going to tea dye this bad boy and then I’ll wear it to work and be the COOLEST KID AT THE COMIC BOOK STORE!

Photo is MANDATORY.
