Comics question: Do you know if publishers prefer seeing original work submissions or submissions that use their already-licensed characters?
I don’t really know the answer to that, I’m sorry to say. Huh.
If I talk to any editors today or tomorrow, I will ask them.

So at a collector’s booth, I found a Red...
So at a collector’s booth, I found a Red Sonja cup from 1975, and got it signed by Gail Simone, the current writer for Red Sonja and the captain of the ship that will become the Red Sonja anthology series.
Gail was so nice, and remembered the collages I did for her new series, The Movement! It was an honor meeting her, and getting to have an icon of Red Sonja’s evolving history only made my love for her grow.

I just wanted to thank you for the spectacular job you did with Red Sonja #1. When I heard you were beginning this series, I knew you'd be good, but I didn't know you'd be THAT good! It totally blew me away... you wrote her character PERFECTLY and i am bey
Yahoo! Thank you so much…the response has been ridiculous. Dynamite Comics was collecting the positive reviews from websites and they just ran out of space. The best thing is hearing that so many retailers ordered tons of copies and many still sold out, that means we have freedom to experiment and go wild, and that makes me very happy.
