Even if you are having a terrible day, CATMAN KOALA is guaranteed to make it better.
Because he’s a KOALA.
And he’s CATMAN.
Benched characters anon, here. Thank you for clarifying the situation so eloquently. I have autism, so empathy and tone-awareness doesn't come as easily to me as it should, a lot of the time. Thanks for the patience, and I sincerely apologize to both you a
Well, for my part, please don’t worry, I don’t think you were dismissive, you just had a question!
But thank you for the kind words and for speaking up like this. I think really helps people to hear that there are others who struggle with they same problems they do, I know it has helped me often in the past.
Very best wishes!

Quite a sight to wake up to!
No dog enjoys sleep as much as a greyhound. Honestly.
Sleep is their candy, their steak dinner, their everything.

For people who are new to the use of the term "POC" it would be nice if they understood that if there's a situation surrounding a specific ethnicity that they should refer to them by that specific ethnicity. Sometimes people tend to look at any situation i
Well said, thank you. Will be careful!
Thinking of that POC question, is Scandal's mother of brazilian indigenous people origin or is she white?
The former.
Day Four: Tell us who is your Favorite Female Hero?

There is something about Black Canary that I like. I like how she’s a street level hero with one of the most under rated super powers. If I had to pick any female hero it would be her.
My VERY Favorite favorite goes back and forth a lot; Wonder Woman, Mary Marvel, Batgirl, Huntress, Oracle.
But I always come back to Canary.
I love that she is absolutely devastating even as a relatively unpowered hero. She’s the best thing ever.
I dont get it
For someone who believes in POC characters who has made some POC in DC Comics, who are now benched… Of all of them to bring back…she brings back a white character…
Such horseshit…
I guess this is aimed at me?
I understand the point and the frustration, first.
I did bring…
I understand and I do apoloize if I sound harsh Mrs Simone. But I am extremely frustrated and well…very very tired.
I keep asking, keep fighting, keep hoping and I just end up being tired….
So tired…I am near the point of just giving up entirely…
Please don’t apologize, you obviously care a great deal and this is important stuff. I felt bad responding because I didn’t want to land as, you know, opposing viewpoints on something I think we both feel is crucial.
Believe me, I have a hard time really focusing on my successes in this area, it’s the stuff that I haven’t managed to do, or did less-than-wonderfully, that sticks with me. And I get frustrated, too.
I promise to keep trying and I know others are, as well. And there have been a few cool new POC characters that I am actually quite hopeful for just recently. Keep raising your voice, I know it helps!

And more info for the new followers.
My comic, The Pride, is about a team of LGBTQ superheroes from all over the world, all walks of life, increasing diversity and representation in the comics.
It’s been getting a lot of positive attention, especially of late, with great reviews, supportive comments, reader feedback, fan art and more.
Here’s some of the reviews:
Bleeding Cool reviews The Pride #1 / #2 / #3
Neil Ramsden reviews The Pride #1 / #2 / The Pride Adventures #1
Further to that, we’ve had fantastic support from incredible pros of the comics industry, including kristaferanka (who’s also done covers and art for the book), Olivier Coipel, and gailsimone.
"I highly recommend this smart, charming, wonderful book to anyone who likes good comics. It’s absolutely a pleasure to read and a clear labor of love." - Gail Simone (Batgirl, Secret Six, Red Sonja, Tomb Raider)
Issue one, recently sold out in print after an incredible showing at London Film & Comic Con 2014, was also recently, very briefly, the #25 Top Seller on Comixology US!

The comics are still going with many more issues to come, but we need your help to keep going, as we need your readership, sharing and spreading the word and buying the comics and prints, especially via our own store, helps me raise the money to keep the book going.
So, if comics and/or LGBTQ are your thing, please check out The Pride!
