Hi there! Would it be okay if I asked you to maybe share something that was important for a friend of mine? It's totally okay if not. My friend is just doing a research project on Gotham City Sirens and I'm trying to help her find interviews with cosplayer
Sure!
Can anyone help these two nice people?

Black Canary cover, definitely inspired by Gail Simone’s Birds of Prey run — which is what got me into comics. This one was extra tough, but had so much fun. Hope to leave a portfolio at the DC booth at NYCC! Fingers crossed!
Pretty!

felt like doodling some Tiffany chucking them deuces...
So today both Thor #1 and Gotham Academy #1 came out and I got them super excitedly and feel it's a pretty good day for comics. I wanted to know how you felt about these releases?
I live way in the boonies and can’t get Thor yet, I want to have a physical copy and there’s no store close by.
I am HUGELY excited for Gotham Academy, they sent me a preview of the entire issue and I thought it was brilliant and GORGEOUS.
It's crazy fun! I do hope we get more women eventually, but at least we're getting the Falcon!
Oh, yeah, I did forget to say that, it would be great to have more female figures. So far, it’s just Black Widow and Gamora I think? In 2.0, anyway. A bunch of Disney figures are coming, but I don’t think they have playsets.
There are a bunch of female npcs, though; White Tiger, Captain Marvel, Black Cat, quite a few.
AND FALCON IS COMING!
Disney Infinity 2.0
Who is playing it?
I am a little obsessed. I loved the first game, and couldn’t wait for the second.
The playset for the Avengers was a little disappointing, it’s VERY short. But there’s fun stuff to to and a TON of fun other stuff in the box.
The Spidey playset so far is much more varied and fun, hopefully it’s longer.
I love the figures, the toy box is less baffling so I am actually creating stuff, which I found difficult to manage on the first version of the game.
It’s fun to play two player—I played Iron Fist while my son played Jack Skellington from the last game and it was weird and cool for them to be on the screen at the same time.
Really looking forward to the extra figures coming out.
I read an article recently that said that the Toy Box portion of the first game was an unexpected hit with girls, and that boys MOSTLY preferred the preset adventure elements. Which is why there was a playset for Lone Ranger, but only figures for Frozen, which was a vastly bigger hit (timing was a factor, I’m sure, the developer says it takes nine months for a figure to go from idea to reality).
I am the opposite, really, I like the adventure tasks and the toybox games.
But they have improved the interface for the creative aspects tremendously, and creating stuff in the toy box is much simpler. You can also make your own home base, which I spent an embarrassing amount of time decorating.
I enjoyed the slightly Disneyfied versions of the characters—they are a bit all-ages, but the dialog and attitudes are mostly spot-on. It’s fun to see Captain Marvel and Buzz Lightyear communicate!
Who has this, or is thinking of getting it? What are you enjoying, and what do you want them to bring out in the future?Who is your favorite character in the game?
FULL DISCLOSURE: I am speaking as a fan here. I sometimes work for Marvel, but if a game sucks, it sucks no matter who makes it. And I’m casual friends with Brian Bendis, who worked on the game storylines.
But this is a kind of game I really like, and adding Marvel characters to it made it a must-buy for me, I have to admit it. :)
I think hardcore gamers might find the preset adventures a little simple or family oriented, so be warned. But I have been having a blast in between bouts of Destiny!
We’re Hosting a Female Fandom Panel at New York Comic-Con!
It’s on Friday, October 10 at 4 p.m.
Really excited for this!!!
The last time I was on a panel with Kelly Sue, finally, we just had the best time. I was mad we weren’t seated next to each other so we could high five.
Barbara Gordon
Gail Simone’s batgirl issue #1
Ok, I’m going to brag for two seconds, let me have my moment. I literally look like Batgirl from that issue cover. (Which is also my cover photo) The more I look at it, the more I’m like "Whoah, that really does look like me." It’s scary and awesome at the same…
You DO look like Barbara!
