Wait a minute, doesn't Alysia already have a girlfriend?! Why would she sleep with Ragdoll? :(

I don’t think she would, I was referring to the question of her showing up in Secret Six, not the Ragdoll part, sorry.

What is your opinion about the new 52 Wonder Woman?

I only read the first couple issues, which were gorgeously drawn and well-written. I would expect no less from that creative team, two of my favorites.

So I can’t speak with authority (it’s hard for me to read a book after leaving, no matter how good it is, I just miss the characters). I like all the art I’ve seen. But I do wish they hadn’t decided to give her a father and make the Amazons murderers, I just..that seems to antithetical to the character. It may have been written brilliantly, it probably was, but it really makes me look at the character differently.

All respect to the creative team, both of whom are in my short list of favorite creators. Every time I saw a page, it looked amazing. I just have a hard time reading books after I leave, which is kind of pathetic, now that I think about it. :)

I Think...

…the solution to many of life’s problems might be having two greyhounds run up, happy to see you, eyes shining and tails wagging.

Is Alysia coming to Secret Six? Will she have weird sex on the couch with Ragdoll?!

I actually had a nice discussion with Cameron Stewart about this.

There’s nothing planned YET, but it wouldn’t be that hard to arrange!

I keep hearing people say that Batwoman might be relaunched after this Convergence thing in the spring. Kate means everything to me and I'm so upset about her losing her own book but if it means she'll be good again then I guess something needs to happen.

Well, okay, first, I am not up to date on Batwoman, I am way behind on my reading. So I can’t speak to the quality, at all, but I know Andreyko did great work on Manhunter.

DC has hired numerous lgbtq women in the past, I can’t see why they wouldn’t do so again. Of course, the two most acclaimed writers of the character were not queer women but yeah, I think it’d be a nice change.

Batwoman is one of the titles I would have a difficult time writing, I think. I feel like Greg Rucka and J.H. WIlliams III left such an indelible mark, did such an extraordinary job, that she really feels like their character to me. In general, I like to work on characters that really need some t.l.c., that have a lot of potential that maybe hasn’t been tapped for a while. It’s a case where my respect for the previous creative teams might actually get in the way a bit. It happens sometimes.

I would like to see someone totally new try the book, someone like Colleen Coover or Becky Cloonan, maybe? Go in a new direction for a while.

Just thinking out loud. Thanks for thinking of me!

About Secret Six #2

Okay, we did have a delay. A key member of the creative team had a personal emergency that was unavoidable and made work slow down considerably. Rather than do a fill-in on the second issue, DC kindly did something they don’t usually do and gave the book a little push back to next week so that the emergency would be resolved.

Everyone is sad, it’s our intention to make a very special book. All I can tell you is, there is SO MUCH FUN STUFF COMING.

Also, there will be TWO issues of Secret Six in February, I believe, and then we go back to a monthly schedule.

So much cool stuff is coming; more about Porcelain, some shocking revelations, weird sex on the couch, who is Mockingbird, what is the secret, which familiar face returns…

It’s going to be a blast. We’re really sorry about the delay, comics are made by people and occasionally, people have an issue they can’t work around no matter how dedicated (the person is doing much better!).

I promise a rollicking, wrong, good time. LOVE YOU ALL AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Here are my lovely new greyhound goggies in their finest wet weather fashion.

Every day they get more comfortable, healthier, happier, and more interactive. Elektra is the pretty brindle girl up top, and Vixen is the lovely black girl at the bottom.

Vixen in particular had never been handled except for training. EVERYTHING was new to her, even being petted and being allowed to move around on her own. She is still a little skittish, but is now very bonded and loves attention, games and treats. Seeing her slowly raise up her eyes, ears, and tail (all signs of trust and comfort) has been a joy.

Elektra has taken to living with a family in a real home like a duck to water. She loves it all.

These are the two best dogs, I swear to God.
