Annnnd Happy Misfit Day! :D

Well, I finally got to draw the Silver age cover! Based after the Jim Steranko cover of Nick Fury: Agents of SHIELD issue #4, I thought it’d be cool to redesign her in an appropriately fun-looking Silver Age themed costume. I did it with the Golden Age, and I might as well continue right? I’mjust gonna keep going up through the decades here. Having done the 40s, 50s and now the 60s. Yes, I am aware that eventually I’ll come to the Iron Age of comics (the 90s) and let’s be honest… Not a lot of costume designs from that era were particularly flattering to 90% of female characters. So I’ll have to think of some way around that to still be faithful to the times..

But that’s not for at least two or three years. We got the funky ‘70s next year!

I hope you like it! :)

Wait, hold on, this is GORGEOUS!

It’s weird how much mail this got.

Apparently, the idea of an young Asian male being extremely sexually attractive to women was pretty rare in American comics, so we got mail from Asian readers by the bucketload, happy to see Ryan portrayed that way.

I really miss Ryan, he’s one of the characters I would write again in a heartbeat, if it was allowed!

As an Asian Male, I can verify that it’s unusual to be portrayed as attractive in media. Like: Asian guys in general, we’re told that pretty much the only women that find us attractive are Asian women, and women who just have a weird thing for Asian guys.

Urgh, that’s horrid.

I don’t know what it is with people who need to make others feel like less than they truly are. Screw them, they are awful.

I personally see many of the New 52 stories taking place in a multitude of certain time periods to make sense out of it. However, given crossovers and seeing things like Batgirl Babs alongside four Robins and the TimKonCassie Teen Titans generation in the

I do kind of have something like this in my brain, it’s total braincanon, not anything official. But it seems to me the current Batgirl happens before my version, and then eventually, Oracle and Birds of Prey happen.

Which is all mixed up from how it is supposed to be, but makes a lot more sense to me.
