I really love Shauna and Ferdie, and I especially dig how ugly she's drawn (we need more ugly women in comics), but I'm curious, will we ever see Wesker or Scarface again? I kinda miss the old, crazy grandpa and his mobster puppet. I've always been a big f

The truth is, it was felt that most younger readers were fairly baffled by the original Ventriloquist, who had an odd speech pattern (which I get but was difficult for some, I am told) and was based on gangster movies from forty years before they were born…readers were just not responding. That’s what I am told, I know he had serious fans as well.

Edmonton Expo!

Excited to announce that I will be a Special Guest of the EDMONTON EXPO this September 25-27!

I am pretty thrilled. I love Canada but did not get to do an appearance there last year. It’s been years since I have been to Edmonton and I have never been to this con (it’s organized by the people who run the Calgary con, one of my very favorite shows). 

This is probably the only con for the rest of the year where I will have scripts and books available, as well, for those who have asked already. :)

GO, CANADA! You are too sexy!

Hello Miss Simone I was wondering what you thought about the recent characterizations of both Donna Troy, Huntress, and Big Barda in the former New 52/DCYou?

I haven’t read the new Donna stuff or Barda stuff.

The Huntress thing I read seemed pretty cool, and that’s hard for me to admit because I pretty much love Helena B. more than air. :)

Not that you're the Alysia police or anything, but do you imagine she's sort of a Poison Ivy fangirl, or what? The relationship between moderate and extremist environmental activists is pretty fraught irl, but I imagine a lot of DC environmentalists fantas

I could definitely see Alysia being a fan of Pamela’s activism. Alysia is not strictly an environmental activist, she is most invested in economic disparity issues, but Pamela would have a lot of cachet with that crowd, I would think.

And Pam’s pretty freaking smoochable…who knows?
