Do you think Poison Ivy will ever get her own book? It's great having her in so many of Harley's issues, but it would be sooo nice to see Ivy get her own time in the spotlight at some point!

There’s a lot of demand, and her merch sells really well.

A lot of times, it takes a while for the publishers and editors to realize how popular a character is becoming. It’s never that they hate a character and don’t want her to be popular, it just takes a while for the message to filter upwards.

I think an Ivy book is inevitable, I would be surprised if there’s not one in the planning stages already (I have no insider knowledge on this whatsoever).

Four of the Most Exciting New Comics From Image Expo 2015

rileyleight:

With announcements of big, innovative concepts created by some of the most legendary comics creators working in the industry, this years Image Expo was quite possibly the most exciting one yet.

If you don’t know, the Image Expo is an annual event where popular publisher Image Comics announces their new creator-owned projects. It’s always fun to watch and see what these creators have schemed up in their sometimes gritty, sometimes goofy, sometimes fever-dream-ish departures from the kinds of comics that we usually see lining the shelves. From the looks of it, this years crop of new books is going to have a ton of hits, but there are a few amazing looking titles that stand out from the rest.

#4: Heartless

From writer Warren Ellis and artist Tula Lotay, this series promises to be a “modern folktale about love, revenge, and the deadly grip of the supernatural,” focusing on a young musician returning to her roots in the countryside of northern England and having to grapple with some enigmatic paranormal forces that aren’t happy to see her back. Not only does this project have an incredible creative team, but it looks to be blending genres in a way that will be a welcome new addition to the comics world, featuring some horror aspects with a more human, emotional element. If their track record is any indication, Ellis and Lotay are going to make this an incredibly memorable story.

What is the ratio of Shark to King in King Shark's makeup, though?

He is 50% king and 100% SHARK!

I love how completely bored she is handing these dudes their asses.

Page from Birds of Prey #1 (2010). Written by Gail Simone. Art by Ed Benes with colors by Nei Ruffino.

Again, this is why I stick up for Ed Benes. It’s true that you are going to get some cheesecake. But MAN, he barely speaks English and yet I almost never had an artist who GOT the emotions I was asking for like Ed. He just always, always nailed even very complex acting, in a way a lot of fan-favorites can’t seem to duplicate.

And it doesn’t hurt that he makes the guys as sexy as the girls. He does not discriminate.

But the acting, it’s always impeccable. Love that guy.

Easily our favorite #SecretSix cover so far. Glad the book is back on schedule!

This cover is goddamned brilliant. If Dale Eaglesham doesn’t get nominated based on his S6 covers, I will be PISSED.

Maybe this is the issue we find out if The Ventriloquist can make Ferdie talk while performing anilingus! What is the secret?!

I’m going to be magnanimous and not mention how long it’s taken for three issues of this comic book to appear on the stands. I’m not going to be magnanimous enough not to mention how magnanimous I’m being though! I’m only human!

When we last saw the Secret Six, they were standing around patting themselves on the back congratulating themselves on having escaped the death box from the bottom of the sea. What they weren’t doing was going their separate ways and ruining Project: Mockingbird. No, they decided they should probably stick together to protect each other from Project: Mockingbird. I have a secret six suspicion that the whole point of Project: Mockingbird is to get these stupid assholes working together. And they fell for it! Which is why I referred to them as “stupid assholes”. That’s not the secret! That’s obvious!

Spoiler alert, if you haven’t read Secret Six #3, but I love this person’s reviews, they are fricking hilarious.
