Yesterday on Twitter you were talking about Catwoman being bi (When did this happen? Haven't read her book in a while), and while dealing with some idiot, I stated that I come to believe that Wonder Woman could be bi as well, or at least it wouldn't surpr
In my headcanon, Diana is absolutely bi, no question.
I had written myself into a bit of a corner about it, however, to be honest. In my interpretation of Diana’s origin, it was very specifically stated that the amazons of Theymiscira ALL thought of Diana as their daughter, not just Hippolyta’s. So that meant even flirting with another Amazon from that island would be awkward. And most of my stories took place there.
But I think she’s bi, and it’s been hinted at in canon for a long time. I hinted at it a bit too, and we did ALMOST get to marry Hippolyta to Philipus. It still kills me we didn’t get to do that, DC was willing.
But my run ended before we could make it happen. It would have been the best scene ever. TEARS were guaranteed. Dang, now I’m bummed!
Okay, this is a HAPPY STORY but fair warning that it starts sad....

Okay, this is a HAPPY STORY but fair warning that it starts sad. But it ENDS HAPPY, I promise.
See the kitty above? The one with the adorable face?
This kitten was found by a roadside, abandoned and in desperate shape at just eight weeks old. He had been abused and thrown from a moving car.
He was found, and vets worked to save his life despite terrible injuries. One leg could not be saved.
So they named the kitten FURIOSA.
Which, of course they did, because that is the best thing I have ever heard.
There was concern that no one would want the kitten.
Here’s where the story gets happy. It turns out, EVERYONE wanted the kitten. As word got out, the Humane Society was inundated with requests to adopt Furiosa.
And here’s my favorite part. A friend of mine, the wonderfully talented JOANNE ELLEN, prevailed, and she got to take the kitten home. Joanne is a comic book creator, she does a wonderful strip/graphic novel called RUMMBLESTRIPS, about the adventures of a girl and robot. Here’s her facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/groups/Rummblestripsthecomic/
So, once again, COMICS CHICKS RULE!
And the best part is, Furiosa is adapting beautifully to having a forever home, and two older sister cats. He’s happy, active, and remains completely, hopelessly adorable.
Check out more of this heartwarming story with lots of photos here, but BE PREPARED TO SNIFFLE.
Like I told you, IT’S A HAPPY ENDING!
Have you been playing D & D for a long time? I have never played, but both my roommate and I really want to start! Any advice on how to start playing for two people who have never played before?
My only advice is to only worry about having fun.
I know there are a lot of rules lawyers who play pen and paper role playing games, and I find that really a huge load of not very fun. Go in to spend time with friends, have great adventures, don’t be afraid to try silly things, let the dungeon master worry about rules, if anyone has to.
As for what set to get to start, they have bunch of beginner’s sets and they should provide you with plenty to get started. Have fun!

Hope it's ok I used a line you wrote for my senior quote. Can't have anyone from my high school forgetting what a massive nerd I am.
Cool!
Can I ask what line?

THIS THIS THIS
I’m continuously terrified that people will think LGBT rights is a finished fight as soon as marriage equality passes nationally. There’s still so much extremely important stuff to get to. Marriage is not an end goal.
Gail, you're one of my idols. Thank you for doing your thing. I was wondering: do you have any quick advice for fighting a writing funk?
My usual advice is to have more than one project. It helps me a lot to be able to switch to something completely different in tone, even if it’s just for yourself. This is still my best advice, assuming things are going okay otherwise.
But I have a new thought to add.
Last year, we had a bunch of very rough personal problems (house broken into and trashed, both pets dying, son was attacked by a thug, and more) and I thought I was able to write through it.
I was not being honest with myself. I believe now I was struggling with depression and was not facing up to it. I was still spending the same number of hours in front of the computer, but each page of script was taking far, far longer, and I wasn’t feeling the same joy in finishing that I always have.
I always give other people the advice to get help if they need it, but I didn’t take that advice myself, and it made work much harder and slower, and I didn’t seem to realize how off it had gotten.
Slowly, things turned around, through the help and support of family and co-workers, and I am my happy self again, even though I have catching up to do.
My point here is to give some consideration to the possibility that maybe your writing isn’t the problem, it may be something in your life that is affecting your joy, passion, drive, ambition, and/or creativity. Some people can be creative in a destructive spiral, and others can’t.
So, I would say a decent self-inventory might be worth a shot, look and see if something is affecting how you approach your work, and see if there’s any way you can work on that, as well.
Good luck.
