Roshanna Chatterji / Tremor of DC comics is ace and Bengali! She’s the only one in the Big Two as far as I know. And I’ve gone looking.

How can she not like his rats?

Clean Room is an awesome - scary as fuck - brand new Vertigo book, created by the always wonderful Gail Simone and one of my favourite 2000AD artists, Jon Davis-Hunt. Sincerely, I can’t recommend this enough.

This is one of my favorite things I have ever written, and I am using nightmares like a baker uses cinnamon. :)

I wanted to draw a sexy Catman for ManSmutMonday (an awesome # on Twitter). I love the new outfit @gailsimone and Dale Eaglesham designed for him. Pick up Secret Six if you aren’t!!!

Drawn in ink and marker, colored in Photoshop. If you are interested in a print please PM me.

UH OH!

A comiXologist Recommends (a series that’s on sale right now)
Red Sonja

You really owe it to yourself to read Gail Simone’s recently concluded 18 issue run on Red Sonja if you have any interest in the following: mayhem, sex, drinking, humor, fighting, magic, redheads, swords, wanton disregard for manners, or general debauchery.  But the best thing about Simone’s She-Devil with a Sword is her cunning – this Sonja is nobody’s pin-up.  If she’s going to wear a chainmaille bikini, or dive into a brawl, or not use a coaster (gasp! pearl-clutch!), Sonja has her reasons.  By framing Red Sonja’s rowdy, randy behavior as serving her own interests, rather than mere titillation, Simone gives readers a complex protagonist and a series that invites many re-reads to come.

You can get Red Sonja, and any other Dynamite comic published before 12/30/15 for 50% off by using the code NEWYEAR at checkout!

Tia Vasiliou is a digital editor at comiXology.  She crushes her enemies, sees them driven before her, hears the lamentation of their women.

Aw!

LOVE SONJA FOREVER!

Hey Gail! Given that it's Stan Lee's birthday, do you have any stories you'd like to share about your experience's with him?

I do, it’s weird, but I have actually spoken with Stan just three times, and each time is incredibly precious to me for a different reason. He actually twice gave me advice I use pretty much every day. I didn’t expect that.

I hope to write up a bit about this soon!

Any chance you will have anything planned for Misfit? I miss seeing her

I do, too…she predated a lot of the pixie-esque superheroine characters that are enjoying success now, there weren’t really any characters quite like her at the grim and gritty time. MAN, did she get a lot of hate mail when she first appeared, which I expected, but what we didn’t expect was how quickly she became beloved by readers who were yearning for less dark and nasty characters. She became a serious hit, tons of people cosplayed her. She was another victim of the new52 which squashed that momentum. However, I think since it’s been established that she’s back in the new universe, maybe there’s room for her somewhere?

I am hopeful!
