Thank you for your art, whimsy, craft, hard work and dedication.

Thank you for making every event you attend better, more fun, And more entertaining.

I can't express how much joy and laughter and awe I have experienced because of cosplayers.

Cons would…

Aw, you just made my day, thank you. But yes, I will be at at least one con in England this year, this very month in fact. MCM Expo in London, the 29-30! Come say hello!

Well that's awesome. I'm gonna be Scandal Savage.

Oh, man, Knockout AND Scandal will be at MCM?

I AM GOING TO LOVE THIS CON.

Oh, my lord, why is there so much gorgeous Jeannette art out there now?

People are going through Jeannette/Scandal withdrawals, I guess.

ME  MOST OF ALL.

Beautiful piece. Also, the art is lovely!  ;)

I Apologize in Advance...: Coast to Coast:

The odds of being a success in the arts are slim. The odds are doing your art for as long as you'd like are pretty much up to you. No one can stop you from painting. People who've lost their hands paint with the brush in their mouths if they want to keep doing it. Same with improv, as…

Important words from my friend, comic book writer and comedian dude Ian Boothby.

Good stuff to think about if you are considering the arts.

I will guarantee you Ragdoll has that outfit in his closet right NOW.

Adorable.

Jeannette

I'm hesitant to give hints about Jeannette's true and full backstory, but everything shown in Secret Six should give some decent hints.

I love this character. When she is cosplayed, it's just heartmeltingly great. I love that people have embraced her despite, or maybe because, she doesn't care what anyone thinks. Male characters are allowed to be arrogant and selfish, it's much rarer with women unless they are secretly shown to be weak and covering up for something. Jeannette is not weak.

Here's a fun discussion on some of her key elements:

krelllabs:

Here's another of Gail Simone's Secret Six characters. The fabulously queer Scandal Savage this time. Again, you can see DeCarlo all over this (and not just in the way I drew her face). I'm digging these drawings, so I might actually do all of the Secret Six this way. I don't have any idea of how Dan DeCarlo might have drawn King Shark, though. I'm sure he would have managed…

Pitt pens on crappy sketchbook paper.

Oh, man, that's adorable.

Now I really want to do a book that's Scandal as Archie Andrews, and Knockout is Veronica and Liana is Betty.

And Catman is Kevin!

And King Shark is Moose!
