TicTocRabbit: pivitor asked: So is Nightwing officially going by "Richard" now, or is that just going to be in your books? As much as...
It's an adjustment, certainly, it feels a bit weird to me, as well.
But I think their idea is that new readers and viewers collapse into giggles over his old nickname sometimes.
DC's worried that the name "Dick" will turn…
Yes, yes I can completely understand how the nickname 'Dick' is way too overt a reference to sex. Transparent bikinis on the other hand, tend to remind me more of the teletubies.
DC, if your target audience isn't mature enough to handle the word dick then they're probably not mature enough for the majority of your new titles that include sex- or to put it in more age appropriate terms, 'the nasty'- which by the way, rules out the Nightwing series itself.
To be honest, I was thinking more about the cartoons. I don't think it's such a big deal in print. I don't think it's a huge deal either way, really.
So is Nightwing officially going by "Richard" now, or is that just going to be in your books? As much as it'd help tone down the "dick" jokes, it still feels off to me.

Okay. I know I'm a dense dunce for asking this. But does James Gordon KNOW Barbara's Batgirl and just skipping around actually talking about it, or is he clueless to the fact?
Pre-new 52, he definitely knew…he always suspected, but Babs also told him.
Post, it hasn't been said one way or the other for sure… ;)

Thanks so much for all the comments on that last lot of photos!
Same group again (obviously), plus a Bane and Penguin that very generously joined our impromptu group!
Sometimes I think cosplayers are the best thing in comics.

Batgirl #3 is amazing. Here are some highlights.
I'm very glad you liked it…I've had some people who hated it and more people saying they loved it than any book in recent memory, quite a few people saying they shed tears. I have to say, my favorite issues are usually the ones that provoke that kind of polarizing, for some reason. But it's interesting to see what the division is when it happens.
I would write Babs and Richard at that age of the last two panels there forever, what fun they are. I hope someone does write the story of how they met and all that stuff, for the new DCnU, even if I don't get to do it!

Sorry about the confusion! I meant SS, Suicide Squad, it was a typo. I've been operating under the assumption that it was an offpanel death, because of the way this SS run seems to regard characters as disposable, that bloody knife, the fact that the writi
I have only read issue one of Suicide Squad. Is the Mad Dog you are talking about the same one from the old mini-series? And I have been told very clearly, we never saw Savant's body. So I think it's a feint.
