Important tumblr lesson learned: you never know when that awful five minute drawing of a character you did is going to be seen by her creator and reblogged. Oops. I will draw a better Scandal sometime! D:

Well, I loved it.

But please feel free to draw lots more Scandal. :)

Super Gay DC by Oly-bear.

I recognise almost all of these very awesome characters, and I love that newer ones like Bunker are on her too :D

Though I don't recognise the girl with the white hair in sunglasses and a yellow/brown top next to Obsidian. If anyone knows who she is I would be mega grateful to know! She has a neat design :)

Um…. I think she may be this gal.

Not sure, though. ^_^

Yay, a bunch of my dearest kids are on there!

There is something in the air that is making bigots feel far more comfortable coming out and admitting their bigotry. It's never gone away, obviously, but what the hell is going on?

Um, excuse me. I'm Hispanic and the guy I'm currently dating is Jamaican.

Hopefully you don't want to marry him at this particular church in Kentucky!

But I love that gif!

DC Women Kicking Ass: New Lego sets: Batman chases Catwoman; Wonder Woman has to be saved!:

dcwomenkickingass:

The new Batman Lego sets will be here soon and here via Brick Heroes is a look at two featuring DC women. The Batman/Catwoman looks fun. But the Wonder Woman (or really Superman/Lex Luthor) looks .. well go look.

According to the description, Batman trying to stop Catwoman from getting…

I really, really hate to say this because I adore the Lego games. But the girls in those games DO get portrayed as flighty and useless in comparison…lotta gags that seem more appropriate to the 50's than today. I don't get it at all.

I've been thinking the same thing for months.

*********************

As tempting as it is to blame the rise in power of extremist right wing media, with its CONSTANT and unending drumbeat message of fake white victimhood and demonizing of lgbtq and poc, that lets all the recent ignorant lefty messages off the hook and that's wrong, too. This stuff has never gone away, but it seems like the message is even louder now, that it's somehow okay to openly state your bigotry. Bad economy? Backlash to strides made forward by marginalized groups?

I don't know, but every day there's some new headbashingly shameful story and it NEVER FAILS that people will stick up for the bigots.

GeekVariety: Why Chick-Fil-A Sucks

GeekVariety: Why Chick-Fil-A Sucks:

gailsimone:

Screw these people.

Chick-Fil-A is run by a group that says they will serve food to lgbtq couples, but that they do not 'accept same sex' unions. Far more damaging is that they routinely support anti-marriage equality groups with dollars and enthusiastic backing.

Their behavior has been ongoing for years, it's true, but the direct response that they 'don't support' lgbtq couples, as mentioned in the letter, is new. The wording has been more careful in the past.

If they insist on supporting organizations that actively lobby against the rights of lgbtq citizens, then it's only fair that as many people as possible are made aware of that stance, and that we all have the right to condemn their actions and boycott their product.
