You have never shied away from the sexuality of the characters you have written and I was wondering if you ever had an opportunity or interest in writing erotica? I know there have been some great erotic comics like Small Favors, XXXenophile and Omaha the

That's an interesting question. Hmm.
I must say, I don't know that I have any huge interest in writing erotica for its own sake…but a narrative that was more explicit, I'd be fine with that. There was a little while where some of my favorite artists were doing very explicit erotica, and I bought them, but I often found myself wishing they would go back to their previous projects. For me, some of the comics erotica I've seen seemed to be 90% sex and 10% characterization.
With something like Omaha, I think that was more successful because it not only had the excellent character work, it was conceived to be what it was, an adult book with sexual theme. I did read a few XXXophiles, that was Phil Foglio, right? I haven't read small favors.
I'm sure there are a billion people who would do that sort of book better than I would. But I would have no problems with a longer fiction that had characters doing stuff upon each other.
Also, I should add, my experience in this regard is a little limited, I haven't read that many comics that I would call erotica, as opposed to just, like, say the underground comics that had sex in them but would likely not get that label, "erotica." So there may be a ton of lovely stuff out there I just haven't seen.

Wherein Michele Bachmann is confronted by an 8-year-old
And it's just as fantastic as it sounds:

The look of shock on her face is incredible. Elijah is brave little man, and I commend him.
dude i'd be so scared if she put her face that close to mine
seriously all the sudden lady grabs my kid
also what a quality little human being
Could only be better if the demon lords swept down to take her back to their homeworld.
Would you be interested in exploring a character like Courtney Whitmore? She just seems to have so much potential.
*************
I am a fan of Courtney's, I really do like her quite a lot. For better or worse, there is a little bit of a thing in comics when a character has been written almost exclusively by their creator…you kind of think of them as that writer's character. Because Geoff created her, wrote all her stores, and Courtney is based on his beloved (and sadly departed) sister, she sort of feels like Geoff's character to develop.
But under the right circumstances, I'd love to write her.
That sucks about Cass and Rocket, I would've thought Rocket would have been fabulous to use in your WW #600 story! And forgive me if you aren't at liberty to mention it, but is there any chance you might be able to detail what your plans for Cass/Blackbat/
Rocket WAS in the script or WW #600, so was Crimson Avenger, but they asked me to replace them with either Ravager, Anna Fortune, Wonder Girl or Lightning (I just went back and checked my email). No word on why they weren't available, but it would have been nice to see Perez get to draw them both!
Can't discuss the other thing because some of it is not ENTIRELY out of play yet, cross your fingers (but it's a longshot!).

Batman: No Man's Land Vol. 1 TP (New Edition), includes writing by Devin Grayson
I had no idea until now that NML was getting re-released.
OH MY GOD, it's got stuff that wasn't collected before! THIS IS AWESOME!
(That always bugged me about the older NML trades, lotsa stuff was left out. Curious as to whether this stuff will overlap with the old "Cataclysm" trade or if it's strictly the period after Gotham was declared a No Man's Land.)
This was a crossover that never should have worked, the idea was ridiculous in a DCU that had fifty billion Green Lanterns and a mess of Kryptonians. But it's some of the best Bat stuff of the past several decades!
I've got a BIG question: I'm going to be doing a final (10 page) paper on the portrayal LGBTQ characters and thier relationships with each other in comics. It sounds like a weird question to ask here, and I'm sure this HAS HAPPENED in comics- and I can't f
Hmmm. I honestly don't know. I remember there was a big fuss about Robert Kirkman's Freedom Ring being killed off so quickly, but what you're talking about doesn't sound like something Robert would do.
I am drawing a blank…can anyone help this lovely poster? She is looking for, sorry to say, stories where an lgbtq character may have been targeted for elimination because of their sexuality, I think.
I HOPE there aren't any at DC or Marvel, but I really can't say for sure!
