Jericho Questions

This Grinch will steal your books. Guard them well.
I wonder if anybody else got into Jericho as fiercely as I have and stopped to ask themselves "How did this show get cancelled?" Really. How did it get cancelled? It has good writing, realistic characters and enough mystery to keep the viewer coming back for more. Was this a casualty of the writer's strike? Another big mistake where the studio thought that "reality" tv was going to be what people only wanted?
Well, however they came to this...

The Status Quo

I see storms on the horizon and a citadel alone; clinging brave, defying fate... -"Citadel", The Cruxshadows
…sucks.
Really. If I followed the status quo, I doubt I'd be in Kentucky with my job. I seriously doubt I'd be writing, or selling. I know I wouldn't be in training to become a professional editor, nor would I have the chance at one day running a publishing company. I'm unorthodox in my approach, and while the results may vary (oh wow, how do they vary…) I generally end up on the side...

Newsdays
I have been busy busy busy these past few days. You may (or, more likely, may not) have noticed?
First, for those of you who must have regular updates on things I'm doing, I'm on Twitter @WarpCordova. I usually blather about nothing but once in awhile I put up something of use. I also have interesting #InHell tags for stuff tied in with the Lawyers in Hell material, such as "#InHell, horses ride you!" and so on. Lots of fun for me and sometimes I even have some funny ones.
Secondly, outlining a...

Free Stuff
Sarah Hoyt just posted the first chapter of a free novel over at her site. I heartily approve of free books (yay books!), so why don't you go and check it out?
Here's a direct link, just in case.

Long-winded TV Rant
…what the hell is up with this story line? Seriously, we have to listen to lines like "Gonna make sweet caramel babies" for the entire season? One of the most intriguing aspects/story lines they had set up at the end of season 2 was the biracial relationship between Mercedes and Sam. Instead of exploring this, they choose to bring in Blaine, Kurt's boyfriend.
I'm all for equality, but Blaine/Kurt is effin' boring. Blaine is boring, his character is boring. Kurt is b...

The Lost King

I can sh*t on you all I want. Why, you ask? Because I'm the King, and you're not.
More delving into research led me to pick up two more books today while at the bookstore. Sadly, Larry Correia and Mike Kupari's effort Dead Six was not in stock. Lame, right?
However, compulsory research has led me to G. J. Meyer's The Tudors and Chris Skidmore's Edward VI: The Lost King of England. Both look very promising, since both touch on the court intrigue which I need to research for both Wraithkin and...

Is This Thing On? Oh, Need To Twit That Tweet.

Sometimes you just gotta ask even if you already know the answer.
Did you know you can "brandmark" your book/publishing company/self with a hashtag on Twitter? I've been doing something similar with the hashtag #InHell on there, but you can do oh-so-much more is you really, really want to.
Good way to get the word out, right? Especially for new authors… you'd think everybody and their grandma would be using this. Hmmm…
No word on In the Shadow of Paradise yet, which is to be expected. I think...

Go Go Gadget Writer!

Hello? Guys? C'mon guys, I suck at hide-and-seek...
Sent off version3 of In the Shadow of Paradise for the next Heroes in Hell anthology just now. Despite yesterday's claim to a complete lack of productivity this week, today has been much better, even if I put in an 8 hour day before I started writing.
Still, any writing is good writing, I suppose.
Up next: I will create words with my brain.
Seriously. Three of the seven brain cells I have will bump into one another, creating a fascinating chain ...

Home for Wayward Characters
Yeah, that's a big fat "zero" in productivity this week. 10% of a book undone. I haven't even opened a word file this week except for a few minutes the other day when I was going over a fellow author's story.
I expected to be a little unproductive, but man… what the hell? It's like I'm taking a baseball bat to a kitten and screaming "The joke's not funny!' (I would never take a baseball bat to a kitten… it would get me in my sleep before I could accomplish the...
