Author, author...
...read all about it!
Today we are kicking off the start of the blog tour for
Yay !!! Please help me welcome DL Jackson.....
Hi DL, can you tell us a little about yourself?
I’m an Army Vet, so a lot of my stories have military themes or soldiers. I primarily write erotic romance in the military, science fiction, dystopian, and contemporary sub-genres.
What did you want to be when you were growing up or did you always want to be a writer?
I still haven’t figured that one out. I joined the Army right out of high school, not sure what I wanted to do, only knowing I needed to get out of Nebraska and see some of that great big world.
When did you first start writing?
Around sixteen. But I put it away when I got interested in boys. I didn’t pick it back up until I was in my mid thirties.
What is a typical writing day like for you?
I write an hour on my lunch break and an hour before work.
Do you have an specific routine you follow or specific items you need with you when you write?
Yes. I have to write in my vehicle, or the words just don’t flow.
What is your favorite part of writing? Is there anything you don’t like about being a writer?
I love seeing my stories come to life and out there where I can share them with others.
What is your favorite length of book to write? (Short story, novella, full length novel) Why?
Novella. I used to write huge novels, but my first published stories were shorts and I had to train myself to tighten my stories. Now those 110k stories just don’t come easy anymore.
How does your family feel about your writing and you being an author?
They support me. My mother has read every one of my stories. My father tells everyone. My husband tells everyone I write.
Is there a to-be-read waiting on your bedside table?
About ten and my Nook, loaded. Always loaded.
For fun, I have a few personal questions,
Favorite 5
1) Favorite Holiday Christmas
2)Favorite Drink Iced Coffee
3)Favorite Author Jim Butcher
4)Favorite Book Black Beauty. I had one as a child. It had beautiful pictures that I loved to draw. Unfortunately it got left out in the rain and I have been searching for one like it ever since.
5)Favorite Animal Horse. My family are ranchers. I rode before I walked. Double with my mother or father in front of them in the saddle.
And for a bonus: What is a typical mood for you? And is your mood different when you’re writing?
I don’t have a typical mood. I’m all over the board. Anxious, perhaps. I’m really fidgity.
Where can our readers find you??

I had three new releases in June. Rebel Souls, Courtesan Boot Camp and My Boogie Woogie Bugle Guy. My Boogie Woogie Bugle Guy is the one I’d love to tell you about today. I had a blast writing this story.
Blurb: When Grace Daniels goes to the cemetery to visit the grave of her twin brother, she meets a soldier, there for the same reason, or at least that’s what she believes until he tells her about the blind date her brother arranged before he was killed in combat.
It’s the date of her dreams. Big band, brass and sass, Madame Eve from 1NightStand has set her up for an unforgettable night, a WWII swing dance party. Unfortunately she’s having trouble letting go of her past, and is afraid to take the chance given to her.
Sergeant Frank Winters is an Army trumpet player who travels with the Color Guard, a great dancer and six feet four inches of eye candy that could make her an addict. He’s also a soldier and soldiers can get killed. Grace doesn’t have the heart to lose someone again, but Frank knows a good thing when he sees it, and he’s determined to show her in one night, she’s got more to lose if she walks away.
Excerpt: “For my next number, I’m gonna play something a little more laid back.” A slurry voice rang out over the headstones, echoing through what was supposed to be a closed graveyard. A trumpet began to play. Dah, dah, dum. Dah, dah, squawk.
She bolted up. “What the hell?” Believing she was alone, she’d bared her soul to her brother. She certainly wouldn’t have had that conversation if she’d known someone lingered nearby. She turned around three hundred and sixty degrees, until her gaze landed on a mausoleum backlit by the moon. A man stood on the roof with brass to his lips, butchering Taps. In his other hand, he held a bottle of what was probably in the glass on Geordie’s grave.
Grace swatted the debris from her pants and stomped toward the mausoleum, irritation prickling up the back of her neck. She stopped at the base of the stone structure and glared up. “What are you doing here at three in the morning? The cemetery is closed.”
“Whoa, hot chick in the audience.” He swayed, threatening to fall off the roof. “Feel free to toss your panties onto the stage in appreciation.”
She clicked her flashlight on and cast the beam on him. “I suggest you get down from there before you fall or I have to arrest you for public intoxication.”
He gave her a shit-eating grin. “You got handcuffs?”
“Oh, God,” she groaned under her breath. “Of course I’ve got handcuffs. I’m the police.”
He rocked and blinked his eyes. “You’re hot for a cop.”
“Thank you, I think. Now get down.”
“Okay.” He jumped, hit the edge of the roof, rolled off, and dropped like a stone at her feet, doing it with all the grace of a bag of potatoes. Yet he’d managed to keep hold of the bottle and not spill a drop. He put the horn to his lips and blew, but nothing more than a raspberry came from the mouthpiece. “For my next number, I’m going to play....” He looked up at her. “Any requests?”
“Yeah, tell me where you’re staying, so I can take you to your room.”
“Easy, girl. What kind of guy do you think I am?”

Author, author...

We are the next stop on the blog tour for ....
Welcome Tamaria, great to have you with us today. Can you tell us a little about yourself?

What did you want to be when you were growing up or did you always want to be a writer?
LOL, growing up daily what I wanted to be changed from moment to moment!
When did you first start writing?
I’ve dabbled in writing here and there as a teenager, but I started writing stories about 3 years ago.
What is a typical writing day like for you?
I don’t really have one. I have two young girls so it’s hit and miss most days.
Do you have an specific routine you follow or specific items you need with you when you write?
No, it’s sporadic at best. I can write with a 3year old on my lap and Dora playing in the background.
What is your favorite part of writing? Is there anything you don’t like about being a writer?
My favorite part is creating the characters and the story I’m going to put them in. What I don’t like is all the proofing and editing!
What is your favorite length of book to write? (Short story, novella, full length novel) Why?
Short Stories and Novellas. I guess I’m just not long winded. I like to spin a short sexy story with a ‘happily ever after’!
How does your family feel about your writing and you being an author?
That’s a laded question. Some are happy and even proud of me. I come from a very religious background so I have a few in my family that are very unhappy that I write steamy romances.
Is there a to-be-read waiting on your bedside table?
My Kindle is fully loaded and I do read every night!
For fun, I have a few personal questions,
Favorite 5
1) Favorite Holiday - Christmas
2) Favorite Drink - Vodka/Tonic
3) Favorite Author – Danielle Steele
4) Favorite Book – That’s a hard one. It changes almost daily.
5) Favorite Animal - Panther
And for a bonus: What is a typical mood for you? And is your mood different when you’re writing?
LOL… my mood is always exhausted! I’m always in a good mood when I write. I love to escape into my stories and let my characters take over and guide me.

Can a day at a beach lead to passion when the sun goes down?
Two women, Myrtle Beach, sexy lifeguards—what more could a girl ask for?
Kimberly doesn't believe she could attract the handsome lifeguard sitting on the stand keeping a keen eye on the beach patrons. Muscular, lean and sexy, surely he's not looking at her, but when a beach accident brings them eye-to-eye, she finds herself lost in his gaze.
Daniel works everyday watching the beach-goers, keeping an eagle eye out for problems along the white sandy shores. Sexy women capture his attention on a daily basis, but no one grabs him like Kimberly. Gorgeous and curvy in all the right places, he can't seem to keep his mind on the business at hand as she tans herself in the hot summer sun.

Now before we let you get away today, do you have a favorite recipe you'd like to share? I like to cook and am always looking for new recipes to try and share but it's totally up to you.
I make killer homemade Tequila Rose
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups sweetened condensed milk 1 cup cream 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1/4 cup strawberry syrup 1/2 cup tequila (your preference) I use white and I add a tad more ;).
All measurements are a starting point. If it needs more or less of something then adjust as needed.
Directions: 1 Measure all ingredients into a blender. 2 Blend until mixed and smooth. Store in refrigerator for a week. So it can blend. 3 I think, like the homemade Bailey's recipes, likely keeping chilled a week will allow the flavors to blend.
When ready pour over ice and enjoy!!!
Servings: about 6
Tamaria, thanks so much for being with us today!! At Sunset sounds like a great read and I'm anxious to get it!!

Today we have a spotlight and review::
WOW!!! I seriously love it when a book basically leaves me speechless after the very last line.
What a great book !!! I was sad to see it end. I only just recently started reading paranormal/shifter stories but if there are more out there like this one, I'm hooked :) Please also tell me there might be another coming out soon in this series????
Soul Mates: Scent was a very well written book about a beautiful young feline shifter(heroine Anna Lissa Felidae) searching out her soul mate(our hero Max Fergus). However, he is not so sure about all he's being told at first. What he does know is he is unbeleivably attracted to her, not just because of how she looks but he oddlyfeels it down deep. They have an undeniable connection and a destiny that awaits them even though they are being hunted.
Our author, Elizabeth A. Lance did a wonderful job portraying all of her characters feelings in such a way I could almost experience them myself. I was also very captivated by and felt almost if I'd been transported to the unique worlds she created for the Fae, the shifters and of course the humans. She'd intertwined all the family/friends to have an important part in the growth of the story as well.
Full of mystery and intrigue at every turn and young love abound, this Y/A Paranormal Romance is absolutely one I would recommend at the drop of a hat. I may even read it again myself :)
Kudos to you Ms. Lance !!! You have my 5 stars !!!
Soul Mates: Scents
Elizabeth A. Lance
When the girl of his dreams walks into his homeroom class one October morning, Max Fergus, a seventeen year old quarterback and star student, has his world turned upside down; everything he has ever thought about himself and his life is changed in that instant and nothing will ever be the same again, because once you know you aren’t human, there’s no going back, no pretending you are less than you are.
Anna Lissa Felidae, a pure blooded shifter has been searching for her soul mate, the one guy that was meant for her, and just when she is sure she is about to run out of time, Diana, goddess of the hunt, appears to her and sends her in the right direction. With another shifter on her trail, one who is determined to have her no matter what the cost, Anna has just three short weeks to convince Max he is a pure blooded shifter, among other things, and teach him to fight so they can be together. With the help of a few Fae friends, a motley crew of shifters and Max’s best friend Tony, they are sure to win.
About the Author:
Elizabeth A. Lance lives with her husband, Brandon, their two tweens, three sassy cats that think they own the house and two crazy German Sheppard-Husky mix puppies. She is the author of the Agents for the Crown Regency series as well as the Young Adult series, Soul Mates. She loves to hear from her fans and can be reached at

Excerpt:
It wasn’t the first time I’d seen her. The girl with the shiny black hair and distinctive blue eyes that seemed to see right down to my very soul. No, the first time I’d seen her was as she stood across the street from my house staring at me as I pulled my ’69 classic Vette out of the garage. It had been the cause of my first real fight with Jenny.
Jenny was my girlfriend. I say was because we broke up that day. She didn’t believe me when I said I didn’t know the girl. The next time I saw her was a week later, just standing outside of my school, watching. I only saw her for a second because when I blinked she was gone. For a while I thought I might have been imagining her. Jenny and I tried working things out, we were tentatively dating again, when the girl appeared again. This time though, I knew I wasn’t imagining things when she walked into my homeroom class, her gorgeous black hair hanging loosely down her back, grazing the pockets of her designer jeans. Okay, I didn’t know at the time they were designer, I just figured with a body like hers it would be a sin to put it in anything else.
She was talking with Mr. Jackson when her deep blue gaze connected with mine. It was as if we had both been waiting for this exact moment in time. I couldn’t breath, for fear that she would disappear again. A slow sensuous smile curved her rose colored lips, lips that I was suddenly dying to kiss. I was so enthralled I nearly took my former best friend’s head off when he commented “Dude, check out the hot chick!”
“Shut the hell up Steve,” I growled under my breath as I glanced back at her, but she was back to listening to Mr. Jackson.
“Whoa Dude! I see fireworks coming! Jenny is gonna be pissed!”
I’d forgotten Jenny in those fifteen magical seconds. Steve was right. Jenny wasn’t going to be happy to see the girl we’d fought about weeks ago. But there was something about her that drew me to her. It was cosmic, or fate or something and I knew she felt it too as she walked down the aisle toward me.
“Class this is Anna Lissa Felidae, from Quebec, please make her feel welcome.”
Her name suited her, she moved in a feline kind of way. Her hips swayed just a bit as she got closer to me and I started breathing hard as I realized she was headed straight toward me. I didn’t have the foggiest idea of what to say, me, president of the student council, captain of the debate team and star athlete, was for once at a loss for words.
“Bonjour,” she said as she took the seat directly behind me, her eyes never leaving my face. Her soft French accent sent chills down my back.
I felt like a brain dead geek. I tried concentrating on just breathing, but her scent was all around me, she smelled dangerous and delicious at that same time. I cleared my throat trying to form words that would make sense. “Ummm, er… Hi. I’m Max. Max Fergus.”
“Max,” she smiled this wicked little smile that made my heart beat even faster. “I’m Anna.”
“Anna,” I breathed her name like a prayer. I felt something inside me shift as I gazed at her and I knew I had just met someone that was going to change my life. I heard nothing for the remainder of homeroom. It was all I could do to stay in my seat and face forward when all I really wanted to do was turn around and take in every ounce of her.
So you can imagine my surprise when I felt her hand on my shoulder and her soft words whispering in my ear. “Max, would you show me to my next class?”
“Uh, sure. What, er… what’s your next class?” I asked still feeling like that brain dead geek I mentioned.
She glanced down at her schedule, her impossibly long black lashes grazed her cheeks for a moment and then she met my gaze again with another smile that made me wonder what she was thinking. “I am supposed to go to Madame Lancaster’s class, Anglaise.”
“English?”
“Oui, Anglaise.” She smiled and my heart melted.
“Yeah… yeah, I can… um… yeah,” I said blinking like an idiot and nodding. “I’ve got old Mrs. Lancaster first period too.”
“Magnifique!” she replied, her blue eyes twinkling brightly.
I held my breath as she slipped her arm through mine and we stepped out of homeroom together. I scanned the hall and faltered for a moment. A feeling of guilt washed over me. Jenny stood across the hall, waiting on me to walk her to class. She looked… pissed .

Lance

Author, author...
...read all about it!
Today we have a wonderful author...
Janie Emaus
Welcome Janie, So glad to have you today. you tell us a little about yourself?
First off, I’m a Taurus. I’m not stubborn, I just like things done my way. Usually. But I have a very positive attitude and always listen to what everyone else has to say. And I rarely get into arguments.
What or who initially inspired you to become a writer?
I think I was just born this way. From the time I could walk, I was carrying around books.
What kind of research do you do for a novel and how extensive do you get? For Mercury In Retro Love, I did a great deal of research into astrology. And picked the brain of my friend and famous astrologer – Terence Guardino.
For my current novel, I’m trying to figure out a way to time travel!
Do you have a special place you like to do your writing? Such as an office, a spare room, the dining room table, your couch? I usually write in my office, but I can write just about anywhere.
As a reader, what types of works do you like to read and do you think they influence the genre/genres you write in?
I love reading Women’s Fiction, all type of YA and middle grade and literary novels. I try not to read the same genre that I’m working in at the time.
What is your favorite method of writing...as in laptop, desktop, Ipad or the old fashioned pencil and paper?? And do you plot out your story or go with the flow of your muse? I write on a desktop and a laptop. And I rarely plot out my books. I have a beginning and I know how I want it to end. I usually get there, but with a lot of surprises along the way. And I figure if I’m surprised, my readers should be, too. Hopefully, in a good way.
When you need a break or some time off from the trials of being a writer, what can you be found doing? When I’m not spending time with my characters, I love walking, reading, swimming, and hanging out with family and friends.
For fun, I have a few personal questions,
Your Favorite 5 1) Favorite color - Green
2) Favorite dessert - Cheese
3) Favorite Season - Fall
4) Favorite sad song- The Way We Were
5) Favorite Romantic movie - Dr. Zhivago
And a bonus, what is your ideal romantic vacation?? Anywhere on a beach, with my husband. Watching the waves, listening to the seagulls, feeling the warm sun on my face. Drinking coffee at sunrise. And a cocktail at sunset.
And between, enjoying each moment.
Where can our readers find you??

My current YA Mercury In Retro Love is now available in ebook form and paperback.
A story about crushes, conflicts and astrological confusion.
Finally, after years of making love predictions for her friends, fifteen-year-old astrologer, Emma Seigel, sees a boyfriend in her future. But there’s one big problem. Mercury is heading for Retrograde in four weeks, and she sure knows what that means. It’s like an astrological PMS. A disastrous time to start a new relationship.
Using her school newspaper column, Emmastrology, she sets a plan in motion and within a week lands hottie Evan Randolph as her boyfriend. She’s a Taurus. He’s a Capricorn. Both earth signs. What could be more perfect? But is he as perfect as her prediction claims him to be? The stars are telling her it’s right. But her heart says it’s all wrong.
Everyday her feelings are growing stronger for someone else, a Leo, so totally not the sign for her. And to make matters even worse, Emma’s actions, caused by her unflinching belief in astrology, get her in trouble with her best friends in the whole world.
Time is running out. Can Emma straighten up this mess she’s in before Mercury goes Retrograde again?

Today is day 4 of the A HERO'S BLOG HOP!! It will run thru Tuesday July 31 so don't wait, comment as soon as you're done reading this and then make sure to visit all the other
blogs as well :)
The point of this blog hop is to talk about our heros so I would like to introduce you to my hero......or at least the hero from my current release :)
I love this hero because he is just so sweet but sexy at the same time and of course he's a Navy man and that makes him just that much more perfect for me !
I'm going to let my hero Nicholas say a few words if you don't mind.....

Krista tells me this is A Hero’s Blog Hop? Interesting, so, what do you think makes a great hero?
I don’t think any of us sets out to be one, it just happens…and they come from literally all walks of life.
I t's really about being completely unselfish and doing good for someone or something, an act of bravery or kindness. I sure didn’t feel much like the hero in Second Chances in the beginning. In case you aren’t familiar with the book yet, I fell in love with an amazing woman (Dana). Seriously, she was the best thing in my life and I would do anything for her or to protect her.
Well, unfortunately some things happened that I couldn’t tell her about. I was forced to make a choice and I left her. And didn’t look back, didn’t say goodbye.
Hardest day of my life…anyway….
Now for Dana, what choice did I really give her but to move on with her life without me? It wasn't an easy feat but I'm super proud of her for doing her best. She travels to Seattle Washington for her best friend's wedding but little does she know there's so much more planned for her.
T he only fear now...will she deny any possibility of second chances?
I can’t really tell you what happens next but you should definitely buy the book to find out. It's a sweet romance and it's available at Ruby Lioness Press or Amazon . ~Nicholas Prescott
I think Nicholas makes a good hero becuase he was compassionate toward Dana, he couldn't stand to see her hurting. He was willing to do anything to make it up to her, to protect her, even if she didn't realize it. And of course on another note, he was a member of the Armed Services, the Navy...doing his duty to his country. Can't get much more honorable than that.
Wouldn't you love a hero like that? I have one of those heros in my own life as well...my hubby is a wonderful man and is always willing to do for me and our children before himself much like my own father was. It's the little things....when I sneeze, he blesses me. When we go somewhere, he always opens the door for me. Qualities like that say alot about a man. I hope my son grows up to be just like him and can also be someone's hero !
So, in honor of our romance heroes and thanks to our sponsors Fated Desires Publishing, Heartthrob Haven and Carrie Ann Ryan, we all bring you A Hero's Blog Hop.
There are over 100 authors and bloggers (complete list at the end of post) all with a post of their own and a giveaway to a lucky commenter from each blog, plus......
There are 3 GRAND prizes...you as the reader will want to go visit as many of those blogs as you possibly can !
Now what are those grand prizes you ask?
1st Grand Prize: A Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet
2nd Grand Prize: A $50 Amazon or B&N Gift Card
3rd Grand Prize: The following Swag Pack!
(this one for U.S. entrants only, sorry weighs just too much)

On this particular blog, I will be giving away a $5 Amazon gift card to a commenter to be drawn using random.org.
You must leave a comment to be qualified for the contest.
Please make sure you also leave me your email address so I can contact you if you win :)

Survivor Gillian Hilliard is finally healing from a nightmare past. Fearing no man will ever find her attractive, she hides behind simple attire and large glasses. When Gillian meets firefighter Jack Payle, she is instantly attracted, and enjoys a wild night of sex with him. But in the cold light of day she’s torn apart by guilt and shame, and retreats to the familiar comfort of her simple, if unfulfilling, life.
After years of chasing the wrong kind of woman, Jack is shocked by the instant attraction he feels for the mousy historian with shadows in her eyes and passion simmering beneath her surface. Jack can’t get past the lust firing his blood or the memories of her response to his touch, for passionate, sexy Gillian is everything he’s ever wanted. Are they strong enough to face down the demons haunting Gillian? Can she trust the man who holds her heart with her darkest secrets and accept his help to overcome the shadows of her past? Or will the darkness destroy them both?
EXCERPT:
“That’s it, Miss Hilliard. As per your request, I leftmost of it down.” The young woman leaned down, her hand on Gilli’s shoulder. “You’re going to knock ’em dead.” Gilli offered a short, weak laugh and patted the girl’s hand. “Thanks.” She slipped her glasses on and rose to totter toward the door on the stilettos her mother persisted she wear. As she exited, the door closed behind her with a click. Gilli turned, smacking face first into a tall, hard wall of flesh before her. Heat seared her body at the touch of his hands on the bare flesh of her back. Putting a couple of inches between them, Gilli glanced upward. Her heart dropped before galloping in place. Dark brown hair curled over a tanned forehead, green eyes as dark as pine stared at her, bemusement sparkling in them. “Excuse me, miss.” She shuddered at the slow drawl curling like a lover’s touch into her core. Her labia pulsed beneath the lace of her panties. A flush crept along her throat to heat her cheeks and she ducked her head to hide the wave of color washing over her face. She cleared her throat. “No, pardon me. Entirely my fault.”
Scurrying down the hall, she gasped at the sensitivity in her breasts. Heavy, full, the nipples throbbed beneath the layers of satin and lace. Desperate to cool her blood, she darted past a couple of women and into the ladies room. The thin metal door offered minimal protection as she locked herself into a stall. A thud filled the silence as she let her forehead drop and leaned against the icy metal and inhaled. Gods above, Zeus in the flesh right before me. What I wouldn’t give to have him … but he’s not going…Arousal scorched along her veins, pooling between her legs and soaking her underwear. Like venom, her ex’s sneering tone filled her mind. You couldn’t turn a light bulb on, Gillian, sexless. You should get a boob job. Can’t count… The soft clunk of the heavy public bathroom’s door opening preceded Barbara’s biting tone. “Gillian, don’t think I didn’t see you…” An uneasy cringe escaped in spite of the relief at the shattered memory. Gillian squeezed her eyes shut. “Mother, can I not use the facilities without you harping at me?” Gillian smoothed her skirt down, rolling her shoulders forward in the hopes of hiding her erect nipples. “I’ll be therein a moment.” “Well hurry up, they’ve already got everyone seated. Goodness, child, you’d think you’d remember this was my wedding!” The bathroom door clicked shut on her mother’s tirade. With a roll of her eyes, Gillian stepped out of the stall, shot a look at her reflection in the mirror and inhaled. “There’s no point in getting hot and bothered over the likes of him. He ain’t going to want you.” Gilli waved a hand at her reflection, a perfect imitation of her mother. “Horn-rimmed glasses, mousy-looking hair, notits. Didn’t Mike teach you a damn thing, Gillian? Men don’t want a mouse, they want a sex pot and you’re not it.” With a quick shake of her head, she smoothed her skirt down, sucked in a deep breath, and pulled open the bathroom door. She glanced around carefully before darting into the hallway.
Pressed close to the wall, she took her place before her mother, feeling like an over-stuffed Easter egg as the wedding march began to play. A smile pasted on her face, she gripped the flowers in her hand tighter and began the slow but steady shuffle toward the preacher. Focused on getting there without falling, Gilli gasped at the man standing next to the altar. Laughing green eyes watched her, his lips turned upward at the corners. A slight shadow covered his square jaw. The dark suit he wore clung to his broad shoulders, tucking in at his waist. She wondered if beneath his suit coat, his ass was as good as the rest of him. Embarrassed, she stepped back, narrowly missing tripping on her own gown’s hem. Her mother’s pointed clearing of her throat drew her attention to the woman sashaying along, the yards and yards of tulle and lace out of place on a woman in her fifties—who’d had six previous husbands and more lovers then Gillian thought healthy. The unspoken warning in Barb’s eyes pierced clearer than any shouting match could be. There would be hell to pay if any attention slipped from the bride. “Typical.” Gilli glared at the flowers, disgust rolling in her nauseous gut. She offered a prayer the ceremony would draw to a quick end so she could ditch the shoes, the flowers, and find a quiet corner to relax in, with the help of an expensive bottle of champagne. She shot a glance across the aisle, heat suffusing her face when she caught sex in a cummerbund’s eye. Screw the wine—what she wouldn’t give to get lost in him. Maybe if she’d been different… Pushing aside the vague thought, she focused on the drone of her mother’s voice as she spoke her vows.

When we go somewhere, he always opens the Qualities like that say alot about a man. I hope my son grows up to be just like him and can also be someone's hero !

A delightful book, even better than the others I've reviewed. In fact, I'd say this is Ruth's best so far! There...is that committing myself enough? The dialogue between Victor and Remmie, from the first quip about her name to the last line is sharp and fast and full of wit. The scenes with Remmie's cats and felinophobe Victor are amusing, and the whole story moves at a pace which makes you want to keep reading without taking a breath between words
Tori L. Ridgewood
My favourite scene was the impromptu date at the movies -- the hero's erstwhile attempts to gain the heroine's favour, and her feisty resistance, are nothing less than perfect. The back-and-forth banter reminds me of the courtship of Gilbert Blythe and Anne of Green Gables. Hartman has a direct line into my youthful daydreams about being an independent woman and falling in love
Sandra Cox
In Grin and Barrett, when two dentists are after the same location sparks fly. This was a fun read filled with good old fashioned romance.
Paranmormal Reader "Renee"
Great Book, I loved it! If you like your loves stories with a lot of sass and humor. GET THIS BOOK!
About our Author:
Ruth J. Hartman spends her days cleaning teeth, and her nights spinning sweet romantic tales that make you giggle, laugh, and all-out guffaw. She, her husband, and their two cats, love to spend time curled up in their recliners watching old Cary Grant movies. Well, the cats, Maxwell and Roxy, sit in the people's recliners. Not that the cats couldn't get their own furniture. They just choose to shed on someone else's. You know how selfish those little furry creatures can be.
Ruth, a left-handed, tooth-scraping, Jeep driving, farmhouse-dwelling romance writer uses her goofy sense of humor as she writes tales of lovable, klutzy women and the men who adore them. Ruth's husband and best friend, Garry, reads her manuscripts, rolls his eyes at her weird story ideas, and loves her in spite of her penchant for insisting all of her books have at least one cat in them. Or twelve. But hey, who's counting?
"Better Than Catnip": A woman who runs a cat rescue center falls for a handsome man. But his son is terrified of cats!
"Flossophy of Grace": The main character, Grace, is a dental hygienist who falls in love with her patient.
"Pillow Talk": A klutzy tooth fairy falls in love with her dentist.
"Purrfect Voyage": A woman and her cat are stranded on a two-week yacht cruise with a cat-hating, handsome stranger.
"Grin and Barrett": Two dentists fight growing feelings of attraction for each other, as they compete for all the new patients in their small town.
"Murphy in the Paw-Paw Patch": A cat, born without pads for his paws, makes a journey to find some. At the paw-paw patch! (Children's book).
Most of her books include cats. Her characters, like Ruth in real life, live with several cats, and love every minute of it. Well, maybe not the litter box, but you get the idea.
"Life in Mental Chains," her first book, is a true-life story about her struggle with severe OCD, which also revolves around dental offices she worked for.
