Today we have the one and only Lorraine Nelson...WOOHOO!!!

Finding Baby JOne lonely woman, a doctor afraid of commitment... Will finding Baby J help them find each other?
Shana Davis knows what it's like to be unloved and unwanted. Her childhood involved being shuffled from one foster home to the next. One night, as her shift at Mercy hospital comes to an end, she hears a forlorn, mewling sound and finds a newborn baby boy left in a dumpster. The abandoned baby appeals to her soft heart and her immediate attachment to the child—dubbed Baby J—leads to her spending a lot of time in the Maternity Ward in the company of the handsome Dr. Daniels.

Dr. Kagan Daniels is heart-sore and commitment-shy due to his failed marriage and past experiences with selfish, cold-hearted women. But he sees a gentle, caring soul in Shana and is drawn to her. Despite his reservations, he realizes he wants to get to know her better and finds excuses to spend time in her company.
Having always wanted to be a daddy, Kagan adopts Baby J. As he and Shana grow closer, Shana feels she's found her own private heaven. She has Baby J and the man of her dreams. What more could a woman want?
But a conniving woman, a manipulative mother, and a man from Shana's past threaten to come between them. Will the lies spewed by others separate them forever? Or can their love win out over all? Excerpt: Kagan held her hand as he guided her into the house. They walked through to the foyer to ascend the magnificent staircase leading to the second story. Once there, he preceded her into his personal suite of rooms. The main area had a bay of windows opening out unto a balcony. The view overlooked the back lawn and gardens then meandered down to the river where a boathouse and dock were just visible in the moonlight.             "Your home has such beautiful views."             "Nothing compares to the beauty of you. I especially like looking at you as I undress you, exposing that gorgeous body, one piece of clothing at a time."
He matched his words with action, starting with her sweater, looped casually around her shoulders. Then turned her into his arms for a deep, passion-filled kiss. She felt that melting sensation that happened every time he kissed her. Her insides fluttered and took wing then settled into a delicious knot of anticipation. She stroked her hands down his chest and felt the ripple of firm muscle, enjoying the opportunity to explore his body more fully. Her inhibitions completely deserted her. Though he hadn't said the words, she felt he was making a commitment to them and not just playing the field.             He led her to the bed where he continued to strip her bare. Night had fully descended, moonlight reflecting off the water, illuminating the room enough so they could see each other. Her hands were busy with the buttons on his shirt, shaking so much from anticipation they refused to work properly. In her haste, she ripped the remaining ones free and delighted in running her fingers through the coarse chest hair; the texture so different that when she rubbed her breasts against him, the tingles went straight to her groin. Heavenly days! The sensations this man evoked in her were rocking her world. Naked at last, they fell to the bed in a jumble of arms and legs, laughing, kissing, and caressing each other. She'd never thought of sex as fun, only as a necessity to consummate a relationship, but this sense of sharing and bonding between them filled her with a glorious awakening of her power as a woman. She delighted in arousing him, of being able to turn him on with the merest look or touch, as he did her. Soon, all playfulness disappeared in the passion of the moment as their bodies joined together, working toward a common goal, that of pleasuring each other to fulfillment.  Buy Links:http://www.amazon.com/Finding-Baby-J-ebook/dp/B0097B818G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347458080&sr=8-1&keywords=Finding+Baby+J http://www.breathlesspress.com/index.php?main_page=product_free_shipping_info&cPath=15&products_id=309  ISBN: 978-1-77101-824-1 By Lorraine NelsonHeat Rating: 2Word Count: 47861Release Date: September 7, 2012  About our Author: Lorraine Nelson was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. Today we have a guest post from

Liz Grace Davis

My Writing Corner
I know that some writers have a certain room where they write, a set writing space. I don’t. Well, not really. But actually, until last week, I used to sit on one spot of the couch. The same spot every single time. I’m serious. After two years (last week), we had to throw the couch away because that place on the couch was so worn-out, it made the rest of the couch look really bad. When we had guests over, I always placed a cushion on the spot to cover it up. It was really embarrassing. Now we’re in the process of moving and getting a new couch for the new place. I had to promise my husband that I’ll try to sit on different parts of the new couch. We’ll see how that goes. I can’t promise anything.
Even though I don’t need a special room to write in, our new place has a large basement and I plan to create a writing corner down there. But I don’t think I’ll be using it much, though. Maybe just to play author. That’s because I can write anywhere. And I don’t mind noise. In fact, I love to write while listening to country music. I inherited the love of country from my father. I’ve listened to it since I was a child. My favorites were Kenny Rogers and Don Williams. In school my friends made fun of me but I didn’t care. Listening to country calms me, me happy. Even better, all those stories they sing and makes about, they get my creative juices flowing.
But as I said, all that is not necessary for me to be able to write—the couch, the music... In the end, all I need is my laptop, a writing pad, and a pen that doesn’t leak. Oh, and  a place to sit (doesn’t have to be a couch).
 About our author...

Growing up, Liz spent most her days in libraries, diving into the world of books. In her spare time she reads a lot, travels, creates jewelry and designs digital scrapbooks. That's of course when she's not weaving stories. She's in her element whenever she is doing anything that requires creativity. Liz is the author of a young adult fantasy novel, Tangi's Teardrops, and a romantic women's fiction novel, Chocolate Aftertaste.

Author, author...

...read all about it!

Today we have a new-to-us author,

Lee Ann Sontheimer-Murphy!!

Welcome Lee Ann, so great to have you here with us.  Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I’m a writer, wife, and mother. I’ve made up stories all my life and starting putting them to paper at an early age.  I earned two college degrees and worked for a decade in radio.  I’ve also held jobs in education, retail, and health care.  When I’m not writing, I love to read, enjoy the outdoors, and travel.  I’m the product of an urban blue collar neighborhood although I now live in a small town in the Missouri Ozarks where I’m both admired as an author and reviled for writing “dirty books”

Do real life events find their way into your stories?
Absolutely although I often change the situations or some of the factors – and sometimes I just make up things.

Do you ever mimic family members or people you know when you choose characters?
Well, I have family members who swear they can identify who a character was based upon but most of the time, I don’t although I will use someone’s personality, their quirks, or even their appearance to give added depth to a character.

Do you find yourself going back to the same inspiration for each story or is it always something different?
My novels are all romance so there’s always the love factor but I find I often write about second chance at love stories.

When do you write?  Early morning? During the day sometime or all day?  After the kids go to bed?
I write any time, all the time.  I get up early and take care of details like email, blogs, etc.  After my kids head off to school, I spend the morning writing and often into the afternoon.  There are days when I have to stop to make dinner, spend time with the family and there are times when I’m still on the laptop after everyone else goes to bed.

How do you feel about marketing your book?
I see it as a necessary evil.  I’m glad I have a background in broadcast media because it helps but there’s such a fine line between marketing and promotion and overkill.  I try to toe the line.

What social sites do you feel work best for marketing?
Facebook keeps me in touch with family, friends, colleagues and readers from around the world so it ranks high on my list and I’ve found Twitter to be pretty effective too.  I’m just beginning to see the results from Pin Interest and LinkedIn too.

Do you like to pitch stories to your publisher or do you wait until you have written the story and have a final manuscript to turn in?
In the earliest days of my author career, I sent the final MS.  These days, I do both – there are times when I send a completed manuscript and other times when I pitch the story to my editor.

Is there any other genre that you would love to try writing?  If so, what is it?
I’ve written some short fiction, had it published in both the literary and speculative areas.  I’d love to write a speculative, even horror novel and probably will one of these days.

Do you always/ever see yourself as the heroine/hero when you write a story?
Yes and no.  It reminds me of playing with Barbie dolls when I was a little girl – I’m acting as the character but then I’m also outside, pulling the strings so to speak.

Just for fun, I have a few personal questions,
Favorite 5
1)    Favorite Male Actor  - Rudolph Valentino!
2)    Favorite vehicle – 1959 Cadillac Sedan De Ville
3)    Favorite way to relax – with a glass of wine out on the deck under the stars
4)    Favorite ice cream – Pralines and Cream
5)    Favorite outfit -  Comfortable blue jeans, t-shirt, boots or barefeet
And for a bonus:  If you could pick any place in the world to live, besides where you are now, where would it be?  (Of course, without the hindrance of jobs or money needed)
I’d love to move to Los Angeles.  It’s such a trippy city with so much personality and eccentric appeal.

Heart of the Ozarks
Contemporary romance/drama Ebook
ISBN: RIP 0001112
Rebel Ink Press $5.99
 Blurb:
After St. Louis TV weathercaster Cole Celinksi loses his almost estranged wife and three children in a car crash, his boss orders him to take a leave of absence.  Against his will, Cole leaves the city in late May to find the rest and relaxation everyone else thinks he needs. Without anywhere else to go, Cole heads for Lake Dreams, a resort on the quiet side of Lake Taneycomo in the Ozarks he visited each summer as a child with his grandparents.  Some of his best memories were made in the lakeside vacation haven with his summer friend, Maggie.
Upon his arrival, Cole learns Maggie now runs the place.  Twenty years have passed but from the minute he returns, they reconnect and soon their mutual attraction ignites.  He fishes in the lake, takes Maggie to visit some of the places he remembers and begins to find out who he truly is. Before he can heal, he must learn to deal with his loss and to see if he can create a new family with Maggie and her children. It’s a task he’s not sure he can handle but if he wants to be with Maggie, he must. A near tragedy brings them all together into a close knit unit and afterward, Cole may be able to make his dreams reality.

Heart of the Ozarks “kiss” excerpt
Cole’d almost forgotten how pleasant kissing a woman he cared about could be until he kissed Maggie.
Her lips yielded to his unexpected kiss, warm and silky beneath his mouth.  Something sparked between them, old and familiar but new too.  The kiss kindled desire, his want surging strong and rich through Cole’s body and with it, he felt renewed.  Fiery electricity danced through his nervous system, tingling and reviving him.  When Maggie touched him and placed her hands on his body she stirred the embers almost faded in the ashes of his soul.  His living force within soared, catching fire with a whoosh rocketing from his feet to his head.
Cole didn’t think, just experienced.  He inhaled the essence of her shampoo, caught a whiff of her perfume, and tasted lingering coffee on her lips.  Her slender body shifted so she stood so close a thin sheet of paper couldn’t pass between them and warmth filled the space. His years, the months of tragic induced agony, the maturity of his third decade, more than halfway to his fourth melted like candy in the rain until Cole felt the wild, heady intoxication of youth.  A carnal yearning rose in him like a wild animal’s need to mate and yet something else tempered, a caring sense of connection.  He wanted to ravish her and yet nurture her, all at once.  He ached to use her like a whore and own her but deeper, Cole longed to become one with her, to twine not just bodies but merge souls.
He deepened the kiss until his tongue worked into her mouth and Maggie moved the rest of the way until her breasts rubbed his chest.  She made a soft little mew of pleasure and he knew he could have her, take her there on the living room couch, her body supported against the pillows she’d chosen at Wal-Mart or JC Penney’s.   He didn’t doubt it and because he knew, he didn’t.  Cole let the kiss wind down, slow and easy.  He allowed one of his hands to crawl from her back to fondle her full breasts with a gentle caress.  He almost lost control again when she arched her back like a satisfied kitten but he eased back to normal, his breath a little quick and grinned at her.  Maggie smiled back with an unfocused gaze.  She looked the way he felt when he came out of a movie he’d really gotten involved with, dreamy until he walked into the sunlight and a jolt of reality.
“Oh, Cole,” she breathed, her tone filled with appreciation and what he thought might be affection.
“I guess you liked it,” he said, without planning. “I’m glad. I thought you might slap my face for that.”
Maggie laughed with a musical quality so sweet it ramped up his blood pressure a few notches. “I wouldn’t,” she told him, “But, oh, Cole.”
            “What?”
She shook her head and her hair floated around her shoulders in a cloud. “I’ve been ready for you to kiss me again for twenty years but I don’t know if you are.”
His scarred heart skipped a beat.  Hell, he wasn’t sure either but he wanted to be and just that alone equaled a miracle.  “If you’d asked me a week ago,” he said, “I’d have said no way.  Yesterday I’d thought maybe in a distant future.”
            “What about now?”
“I don’t know,” he said, “But I want to find out.”
She’d always been mercurial, a creature of many moods and faces so he wasn’t surprised when she put her hands against his chest and said, eyes smoldering, “Kiss me again and see what happens.”
Cole almost did but rational thought stayed him. “If I do,” he told her, without any bullshit, “I won’t be able to stop this time at just a kiss.”
Maggie’s eyes met his and hers were filled with the naked yearning of a hungry bird and the innocent trust of a pet bunny rabbit. “I don’t care, Cole.  I want you.”
Everything he longed for in this moment she offered but he shook his head. “I want you, Maggie, in every way a man can want a woman but it’s not the right time.  If we do this now, it’ll end up bad.  You’re vulnerable and the last thing I want to do is hurt you, honey.”
            “You won’t.”
“I might without meaning to do it,” he said, his voice husky with emotion. “We’ve brought something to life so let’s don’t ruin it before it has time to grow.  We’ll be together when its right, I promise.”
Tears shimmered in her eyes and he thought she’d cry but Maggie didn’t.  She nodded and put her fingers against his cheek. “You’re being sensible, I guess, Cole.  Just tell me it’ll be soon.”
“God, yes,” he said with feeling, enough she laughed.

Before we let you leave us today, do you have a favorite recipe you'd like to share?  I like to cook and am always looking for new recipes to try and share but it's totally up to you.
This is my chili recipe.  The story behind it is that my grandfather, stationed at what was then Camp Hood during World War I, got a taste for chili.  He came back to Missouri after the war and tried to create the dish.  His sons, my dad and uncles, each took the recipe to a new level.  The original was made, old school Mexican style with beef chunks and the beans separate.  This is my dad’s recipe – he spent decades perfecting it and I have to say it’s fine chili!

2-3 garlic toes

Author, author... #giveaway

...read all about it!!

Hi Jennifer, so happy to have you here today.  Let’s get right to it if we shall…

Do real life events find their way into your stories?
Oh absolutely, it’s nearly impossible for my real life events and people not to make their way into my stories. I try to leave out anything to obvious, but there is a ton of stuff from real life that is written out in my stories.
Do you ever mimic family members or people you know when you choose characters?
Yes, I do, sometimes there is a character who just reminds me so much of someone I know or the other way around, and I end up writing them. In one story I started out with a character being modeled after my husband, but later he became his own person and nothing like my husband.
Do you find yourself going back to the same inspiration for each story or is it always something different?
It’s always different. But, I am inspired by so many different things, even the music I listen to is different for each book.
When do you write?  Early morning? During the day sometime or all day?  After the kids go to bed?
I write whenever I get the chance. I have five children, so I can write with a freaking tornado blowin the walls down around me. But, I prefer to write either early before they get up or late after they go to bed.
How do you feel about marketing your book?
I actually like marketing. I’ve discovered its sort of something I’m good at, and I don’t mind doing it at all, actually…I enjoy it.
What social sites do you feel work best for marketing?
The social networks I stick to are Facebook, Google + and Twitter.
Do you like to pitch stories to your publisher or do you wait until you have written the story and have a final manuscript to turn in?
I am self published, so I really don’t have to worry about all of that. But if I were published, I would wait till I had the book. What if you had a good idea, but the writing just wouldn’t come…that would be bad.
Is there any other genre that you would love to try writing?  If so, what is it?
I may try my hand at some romance with a touch of naughtiness. If I do, it will probably be under a pen name though.
Do you always/ever see yourself as the heroine/hero when you write a story?
Pretty much never. I just can’t see myself as a heroine in the stories I write, but if I were to write one about a crazy mom who feels like she is losing her mind…maybe then I would see myself as the heroine. lol

Just for fun, I have a few personal questions,
Favorite 5
1)    Favorite Male Actor  - Nicholas Cage
2)    Favorite vehicle – 67 Chevy Camero
3)    Favorite way to relax - Reading
4)    Favorite ice cream – Moose Tracks
5)    Favorite outfit – Jeans and tank top with flip flops
And for a bonus:  If you could pick any place in the world to live, besides where you are now, where would it be?  (Of course, without the hindrance of jobs or money needed)
Italy or Ireland, these are my ultimate destinations!

Excerpt:

I took the first book off the stack and examined the cover. It was titled Vampires throughout History. The cover was leather and so old it was stiff and cracked in spots. The pages showed signs of age too, yellowing and stiff to the touch. There was no table of contents, so it looked like I was going to have to scan the entire book for what I was wanting. I flipped the pages carefully, so as not to tear any of them.

After an hour of scanning and about half way through the book, I found something referring to vampire children.
~~~
Although extremely rare, the natural-born offspring of vampires exist throughout the world. These rare beings are called the dhampir. Dhampir are usually the product of a vampire and mortal. The most common of these unions is a male vampire impregnating a mortal woman. Vampires, both male and female, are seductive in nature and some mortals came willingly to these unions. However, the majority of dhampir born were produced through an act of rape.
Solitary by nature, it is uncommon for a vampire to settle with any one mate for long. The children of vampires, the dhampir, more often than not exhibit all the characteristics of their vampire parent. The strength, speed and agility are the usual hereditary traits that the children develop. They are not always born with these traits but develop them as they grow into adulthood.
The dhampir are day walkers. Some of these children are sensitive to the sunlight but will not perish in the direct rays. Most have no sensitivity at all. Drinking the fresh blood of mortals is also not usually required of the dhampir; however, some have a liking for it. Very few actually need it to survive.
Most dhampir are rejected by the vampire species because of their mortality and weaknesses. Mortals often reject the dhampir, as well, due to their vampirism, so they frequently remain outcast.
Dhampir are known for becoming vampire killers. Their closeness to the vampires and their vampire characteristics make them powerful vampire hunters. The unique ability to track and kill vampires is specific to only the dhampir and the mythological race of vampire hunters.
Historically, dhampir became vampire hunters as a trade. Towns and villages became plagued by vampires who were terrorizing their homes and killing their people. The dhampir accepted contracts in exchange for monetary payment and used their likeness to their vampire counterparts to exterminate the vampires.
~~~
Holy crap, that was a lot to process. The more I read the passages, the more I understood that my being a hunter was more than my heritage; it was my history and my future. Everything about my bloodlines had hunters involved.

Author, author...

...read all about it !

We have a great author visiting us today and we are the next stop on the Sizzling PR book tour for
      Dare to Act
                  by
      Leigh Ellwood!!

Hi Leigh, great to have you here today!!  Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Thanks for having me! I am Leigh Ellwood, and I write erotica and erotic romance in a variety of sub-genres. I have been published for about eight years now and have several books and stories available in eBook and print. I am published with Phaze Books, DLP Books, Ravenous Romance, Samhain Publishing, and I have contributed to Coming Together.

What did you want to be when you were growing up or did you always want to be a writer?
I had originally set out to become a journalist, but found I enjoyed writing fiction more than reporting. The dual major in English and Journalism I had planned ended up becoming just English, and I worked a variety of jobs until I found my current day job in social media writing. Soon, I hope to write fiction full-time.

When did you first start writing?
When have I never written? LOL Seriously, I’ve been writing seriously since high school. I sold my first story at 19, and published my first book at 29.

What is a typical writing day like for you?
These days, I take the time when I can get it. I do work during the day, and once I’m home and all the “home things” are done (dinner, homework, bedtime stories, etc.) I have about 2-3 left in the evening which are mine to write. If that schedule is interrupted, I’ll jot notes on notebooks or my iPad.

Do you have an specific routine you follow or specific items you need with you when you write?
Not really. I’ve found my unpredictable schedules allow me to be flexible. I’ll write on bar napkins if I have to get a job done!

What is your favorite part of writing?  Is there anything you don’t like about being a writer?
The only thing I don’t like about writing is self-doubt. I hate writing a story and thinking it’s terrible, but at least I have editing to help with that. I do enjoy when I have a 1K plus night – I feel as though I have accomplished something.

What is your favorite length of book to write?  (Short story, novella, full length novel) Why?
This is difficult to tell – I love writing all lengths. I am especially happy when I finish a work over 50K. I know readers prefer longer works, and they have requested I write longer.

How does your family feel about your writing and you being an author?
My family has been very supportive. Whenever I visit relatives they want to know what I’m doing. My sister will even retweet my promo, which is nice!

Is there a to-be-read waiting on your bedside table?
Always! I have a huge list of books on my Kindle to get through.

For fun, I have a few personal questions,
Favorite 5 1)  Favorite Holiday – Thanksgiving (I love to eat.)
2)  Favorite Drink – Southern Comfort and Cranberry
3) Favorite Author – Dick Francis
4)  Favorite Book – To Kill a Mockingbird
5)  Favorite Animal - Beagles

And for a bonus:  What is a typical mood for you?  And is your mood different when you’re writing?
Tired, does that count as a mood? JWhen I write I tend to be more alert.

My latest book, DARE TO ACT, is an M/M erotic romance available through Ravenous Romance. It is for sale in eBook at the following stores:

When actor Parker Stigwood stuns the world by doing the unthinkable on live television, he’s convinced his career is over. Disgusted by Hollywood hypocrisy, he pushes the pause button on his life and retreats to his parents’ home in Dareville to contemplate his future. Little does he realize, various forces have plans for him on a personal and professional level.
Luke Hall is excited to direct his first play for the local arts center, more so when the handsome movie star volunteers to watch rehearsals and offer pointers. Luke would rather watch Parker, but there are interruptions to his viewing pleasure. When a well-meaning friend seeking benefits places doubts in Luke’s head about Parker’s intentions, Luke wonders if their relationship will bomb at the box office.
On and off-stage, Luke and Parker’s passion sizzles. But will Parker dare to act on his feelings for Luke and leave his star behind for good?

Last but not least before we let you go, do you have a favorite recipe you'd like to share?  I like to cook and am always looking for new recipes to try and share but it's totally up to you.

Sure, This recipe is for Phyllo Pizza Rolls. It is a version I created to make a WW friendly version for my diet.
Phyllo sheets, thawedPizza sauce
Low-fat mozzarella cheese sticks
No-fat cooking spray

If you've never worked with phyllo before, be warned it is very delicate and you don't want it to dry out. If your pack is frozen, make sure you set it out to thaw completely before unrolling, otherwise it will crack.

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) Spray a muffin tin with the cooking spray. I have a mini-muffin tin - you can use a cookie sheet, but I find this is better in case the dough cracks while baking and the filling leaks.
  3) Grate the mozzarella and set aside. You can use any type of cheese for this - I use the prepackage sticks to keep track of points.

4) Carefully lay one sheet of phyllo on a cutting board and spray. Set another sheet on top. (keep the rest of the dough wrapped so it doesn't dry out.)

5) Cut the dough into quarters. In the middle of each rectangle, spoon some pizza sauce and add some of the grated cheese. You may want to experiment with other "toppings" like chopped up pepperoni or bacon.

6) Fold the long ends of each rectangle over the sauce mixture, then fold back the ends over the bottom of the pouch so the wrap resembles a pizza roll. Set gently in a sprayed muffin cup.

7) Repeat until you have made as many as you plan to eat/share. I used five sheets, one cheese stick, and about 1/2 cup of sauce to make ten rolls.

8) Bake about 8-10 minutes. Enjoy!

Leigh,  thanks so much for being with us today and for sharing a recipe.  I think my kids will love those so we'll definitely be making them.    Your new book sounds great and it will be on top of my TBR pile very soon.  Please feel free to stop by anytime!!

Today we have a Sizzling PR tour for

Submit to Your Fantasies
by
Lynn Myshe Joseph

Welcome Lynn, can you tell us a little about yourself?

Well I am a married mother of 3 (4 if you count Hubby! Lol) and I work in HR. Moved from Chicago to the Dallas suburban area in 2009 and LOVE it here!

What did you want to be when you were growing up or did you always want to be a writer?
Oddly, I wanted to be a lawyer- I wanted to help people get out of dire situations and be a top lawyer in the country- Well that didn’t pan out J

When did you first start writing?
When I was 13- I had to write an essay about a fantasy world to live in. It was then I knew I was going to be a writer because I found myself enjoying creating characters and worlds

What is a typical writing day like for you?
Since I work 8-5, I writer for 1 hour once I get home and get the kids settled. Over the weekends I allow myself 3-5 hours of writing time

Do you have an specific routine you follow or specific items you need with you when you write?
I MUST have rock music playing in the background! Not sure why, but certain music moves me to write
What is your favorite part of writing?  Is there anything you don’t like about being a writer?
Creating characters! I can take from tons of elements and create my hero and heroine, as well as beta characters. There is nothing that I don’t like about writing- I love it all!
What is your favorite length of book to write?  (Short story, novella, full length novel) Why? Novellas- I can get out what I need in a short amount of time. Then I can get to the editing and rewriting process faster. I am working on a novel, however!

How does your family feel about your writing and you being an author?
One word- Supportive.
Is there a to-be-read waiting on your bedside table?
Not at this moment- I try to read a book as soon as I get it
For fun, I have a few personal questions,
Favorite 5
1)  Favorite Holiday- Christmas- LOVE the decorations and watching my kids open their gifts from Santa!
2) Favorite Drink-   Not sure of the name, but you mix Hypnotiq, Malibu and Pineapple juice- MMMMMMM
3) Favorite Author-   Shayla Black. She writers the most awesome stories! I have a few others that I am discovering now
4) Favorite Book-  Mine! No, really, mine- Submit to your Fantasies
5) Favorite Animal-D  ogs; they are loyal and will protect you, no matter how big or small they are
And for a bonus:  What is a typical mood for you?  And is your mood different when you’re writing?
Im normally high strung and need to get things in order before the end of the day. When I am writing, I am calm, mellowed out, relaxed.

Excerpt:
“This is the only time tonight I will correct you. You address me as Hunter. Understand? Reply, Tonya.”

She puffed and replied. “Yes, Hunter.”

His deep chuckle aroused her even more, and she began to feel tiny pulses between her legs. He walked in front of her, and she noticed he was wearing black jeans. Hunter placed his finger under her chin, and brought her head up to meet his face. Shit, he was a gorgeous man; gray eyes that now looked like molten steel. Dark brown eyebrows framed those silver irises, adding more danger when it needed none. Hard features; a strong, square jawline, angular chin and straight nose gave him the look of a predator, ready to attack without notice. Dark hair, cut brutally short, completed his handsome face.

He loomed over her; his height of 6 feet plus intimidated and unsettled her; she only grew wetter as his stare bore into hers. He stepped into her personal space, and her nipples stabbed his chest through her sheer blouse. Tonya glanced at his torso, which was bare. He was miles and miles of tanned heaven; his abs rippled and his pectorals flexed whenever he took a breath.

No doubt, this man had the power to dominate. She knew that from the first time she met him. Tonya rejoiced in the knowledge that tonight, he was here to make true on her desires, help her to fulfill them, accept who she was.

Tonight, she would give him everything and hold nothing back, let him take what he pleased.

She will make him a proud Master.

“Remove your blouse.” His voice was edged with steel, full of demand with a snap of a whip.

She fumbled with the buttons and then let the garment slide off her body, the cream colored blouse making a pile on the floor beneath her knees.

“Look at me.” Hunter’s voice was like sandpaper on gravel.

Her eyes snapped up to him, and he watched her with hungry eyes, ready to take and give. His massive chest rose and fell with harsh breaths.
At that moment, she had begun to recognize her own needs; the need to submit, the need to be possessed, the need to be bound.

All for him.
  For Hunter.

Author, author...

...read all about it!

Today's Author Spotlight is on...  Café Mazon Crystal Hubbard    The tables are turned on a serial rapist and his dimwitted accomplice when they attack a woman unlike any of their previous victims.  Excerpt: He'd first seen her the last time he was here, after he'd been interrupted by strange voices and footsteps.  He hated being interrupted, especially since he'd been having such a good time, but in the end it all worked out.  If he hadn't taken the time to pound Terry for getting distracted with that damn magic book, he wouldn't have seen his latest flame.  She'd rounded the corner and headed straight for the café. Dee and Terry had eaten there a few times.  Dee didn't much care for the aloof manner of the staff or the snooty misspelled French name, but the food was good and you got a lot of it. Terry had complained the whole time, but Dee had sat in the car all the rest of the night, waiting for his new target to leave the diner.  She didn't come out until after the lunch rush. Dee followed her to the subway, then took Terry to McDonald's for a few Happy Meals.  Later that night, they went back to see if she'd return to the diner. She did. Every night, same time, same corner, same routine until Dee couldn't stand it anymore. Now, he finally had her.  He pulled out his hunting knife, thrilled with the clean grab. He used the tip of his knife to trace the center seam of the back of her pants.  The halves fell away, revealing two rounds of golden flesh. If her ass wasn’t God’s finest work, it had to be in the top ten. “No panties, huh?” Dee smirked.  “You dressed for our date, I’ll give you points for that.” She glanced over her shoulder as the blade lightly moved along her spine.  "Are you about finished?" she asked with a slight yawn. Her voice was a low, silky, disinterested growl.  To Dee, it was as sexy as it was annoying. "Baby," Dee sneered, slicing through the backstrap of her bra, "I haven't even got good and started." She turned around, slowly lowering her arms.  "Three women have been assaulted and killed around here.  Your work?"… Mainstream Fiction: Interracial/Multicultural, Horror, Urban Fantasy

Author, author...

...read all about it !

Today we are the next stop in the Jacob's Trial, Forbidden Legacy book tour and  I'd like to welcome it's lovely author...

Heather Long

Hi Heather, so great to have you here with us. Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’m an author, a mother, a student, a pet owner, a woman, and just a little bit crazy some days when the stories in my head are bursting to get out.

Do real life events find their way into your stories?

Yes and no. Some real life events can and do influence what I write. Whether it’s noticing they’ve cut down an entire greenbelt’s worth of forest or the news is reporting what happened to a Marine unit overseas or even here at home.

Do you ever mimic family members or people you know when you choose characters?

Totally pleading the fifth on this one.

Do you find yourself going back to the same inspiration for each story or is it always something different?

Oh, always something different. Occasionally an event can inspire two stories or inspire one that in turn inspires another - but I am a bit eccentric as an author. I write in multiple genres so I look for inspiration in multiple places.

When do you write? Early morning? During the day sometime or all day? After the kids go to bed?

Mornings are prime writing real estate for me. I am a little like Sheldon Cooper in that I am absolute crap after 9 p.m. at night

How do you feel about marketing your book?

Marketing is an aspect of the business of writing. Sometimes it means writing blogs, other times it means sending out ads or press releases and other times it means sitting down with readers and talking to them--about my book, about what they read, the weather - etc. I actually love the last one, because I get to hear what people like and I’ve discovered new books myself through those conversations.

What social sites do you feel work best for marketing?

I can’t tell you what work best, but I know what I enjoy more. I have both a Twitter and a Facebook account and I am relatively active on Facebook and less so on Twitter. It’s not that I think one is better than the other, but Twitter is an ongoing conversation that you can drift in and out of, but Facebook is a little more like the water cooler where you get to hang out with friends and meet new people!

Do you like to pitch stories to your publisher or do you wait until you have written the story and have a final manuscript to turn in?

I’ve done both. It really depends on my schedule and the story.

Is there any other genre that you would love to try writing? If so, what is it?

Spy novels! I want to write Alias meets Covert Affairs meets The Bourne Identity

Do you always/ever see yourself as the heroine/hero when you write a story?

No. They are a fully fleshed out and developed people. I see myself more like their shrink or their sounding board.

Just for fun, I have a few personal questions,

Favorite 5

1) Favorite Male Actor - Chris Hemsworth

2) Favorite vehicle - Red Standard Jeep

3) Favorite way to relax - A massage, followed by a hot cup of coffee, a cool breeze and a great book.

4) Favorite ice cream - Mint Chocolate Chip

5) Favorite outfit - My black and gold dress that I wore to the Harlequin party.

And for a bonus: If you could pick any place in the world to live, besides where you are now, where would it be? (Of course, without the hindrance of jobs or money needed)

In the best school district in the United States with the most opportunity!

In October, Micah & Mrs. Miller the third installment in my Fevered Hearts series will be released. This is a paranormal western romance set in the 1850s. It’s a story of family, of love, of survival and brotherhood.
