Men & Women of the Military Blog Hop

Ok, seriously, who doesn't love a man in uniform??  It's definitely a major weakness for me.  Heck even my 13 year old daughter throws a hissy every time we're driving on the interstate and a convoy comes along.  She'd jump right in there with them if i'd let her. Oh wait...i'd probably already be in there lol.

This hop is geared toward recognizing all the military personnel past, present and of course future and while they more than deserve to be recognized every day of the year, Veteran's day is a special holiday for sure!

Just to name a few...

My dad, Larry was in the Army National Guard oh...many years ago now.  My stepdad Harry served in the Navy  just as many years ago.  I have a nephew Travis that is currently in the Air Force. I also have a nephew, Julian in the Army and he just graduated basic a month or so ago.   I had a cousin that not only was a Marine but when her tour was finished, she re-enlisted in the Army.  Now that's dedication :)  I do have a few friends in the Army as well...Michael, Jeff & Chris.

I am beyond proud to say I know these people and they have and are serving our country well!!

As part of this blog hop, I am going to be giving away a digital copy of...

Second Chances

If you could get a Second Chance...

When the love of Dana's life leaves without a word, she is forced to move on with her life.  Despite loving him, she believes she will never see him again but, little does she know, she's being set up for a night that will change her life forever. Nicholas, A Navy man, did the only thing he could to save the woman he loved.  Driven by a secret, he disappeared and now returns, years later, with hope for love.  With one opportunity, will he be able to make things right, or is it just too late?  Will she deny any desire for Second Chances?

All I need you to do is leave a comment along with your email address and tell me about your military hero!!

When you're done, don't forget to visit all the other blog spots on the hop for more chances to win great prizes !!!  See that list below ...

Thanks for stopping and happy hopping :)

Autumn's Harvest Blog Hop

Autumn is seriously my favorite season of the year !!!  I am definitely a jeans and sweatshirt kind a gal.  I love the cool weather and being able to have bonfires in the evenings.  The color changing of the leaves is downright gorgeous and where I live in Michigan, October is the month for that. There is one thing I don't like about the fall...burning leaves!  My neighbors do way too much of that.  It smells and takes the leaves forever to burn.  That doesn't change how i feel about the season though :)

One of my greatest pasttimes is reading!  Of course, my favorite means of relaxing is a hot bubble bath.  Now mix the two?  Perfect.  Nothing I like better than running a hot bubble bath in the evening, in the middle of fall and opening the window so the cool night air can come in.  I light some candles and read a book.  I could sit there for hours.

Do you have a favorite pasttime?  What do you like about Autumn?

Please leave me a comment and let me know, along with your email address just in case you get picked randomly to win a digital copy of my new title from Decadent publishing due to release Nov 21st.  (no worries, i'm good for it :))

Take Me Home, Cowboy
~   Western Escape Series

Ally Kincaid returns to Freewill, Wyoming, to see her father after a two year absence. Anticipating a quiet family reunion, she finds herself butting heads with her father’s foreman instead. The man’s arrogance and sexy drawl push all her buttons, making her wonder what he’s hiding beneath his cowboy swagger.
Matt Gentry walked away from the past and shies from the future. No ties means no one gets hurt…until the boss’s daughter, a hot, green-eyed blonde, tempts him to break his own rules.
When tragedy strikes, will building tension and pride destroy their growing attraction or show them the way home?

I also have a really cute little jar of all natural Vanilla Brown Sugar scrub up for grabs, donated by Taylor's Trinkets & Treats.  Who knows, you might win a book, a scrub or both.  I might even draw 2 names since I love Autumn so much.....
And while you're at it, make sure you visit all the other stops on the hop listed below.  Might win some awesome prizes there too :)

The over all prizes for Autumn's Harvest blog hop are fantastic as always, see below...

Today we have with us

Stephanie Queen...

Welcome, so great to have you here with us.  Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Thanks for having me on your blog!
About me--I’m NOT short or redheaded, unlike the heroine in my upcoming release THE HOT SHOTS. But I do share a restless yen for adventure like she does. I get my kicks in a safer way—no escaping from terrorists with a Scotland Yard hunk on the run for me.
So far, the only terrorist I’ve had to escape from lately is my cat, Kitty. She runs a mean household—err…Queendom.
Other than that, I live peacefully in my house—I mean castle--among the bucolic hills and dales (?? Don’t ask me what a dale is) of New Hampshire where I write up a storm—when there’s not a power-sapping storm raging outside.  Do real life events find their way into your stories? I’m not saying I ever jumped off the USS Constitution into the Boston Harbor, but I may have done a bit of running for safety here and there (see comment about Kitty). If my next story features a heroine stranded with a hero after a hurricane, then you’ll know for sure.   Do you ever mimic family members or people you know when you choose characters? If the true identity of Oscar, the mob informer in witness protection, were ever revealed, I’d be on the run for real!  (Only half-kidding) (Not saying I actually have a relative in witness protection, just saying—well—NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!)   Do you find yourself going back to the same inspiration for each story or is it always something different? Lately, I’m into James Bond as inspiration. I’ve always loved larger than life heroes and a dash of adventure in my romance stories.   When do you write?  Early morning? During the day sometime or all day?  After the kids go to bed? I’d have to take some serious doses of No-Doze to stay up past my kids’ bedtimes! I have two college student sons who seem to live like vampires by the light of the moon and have an aversion for morning sunlight. Me, I’m a morning person, but I’ve been known to write any time I can get an inspiration—including while driving down the highway at 70 miles per hour. (Okay, so I’m exaggerating. I tend to slow down and pull to the right when I write against the steering wheel. Besides the horn ends up beeping and traffic seems to steer clear—by a wide margin) (half-kidding)   How do you feel about marketing your book? Luckily, I like writing. Marketing turns out to be more writing! (Here I am!) Whether it’s Tweeting (@StephanieQueen) or Facebook where I have a Stephanie Queen page or blogging on my website StephanieQueen.com, it’s all writing. (See how I just did some marketing right there?)   What social sites do you feel work best for marketing? See above—although I don’t know “what works best”. Believe me, if I did, I’d sell that secret and become a gazillionaire. My rule of thumb is to have fun with whatever marketing I do.   Do you like to pitch stories to your publisher or do you wait until you have written the story and have a final manuscript to turn in? I’ve done it both ways, but I find if I haven’t finished a novel and I pitch it and an editor likes it—that gives me extra motivation to write fast!  Guess I’m a good-at-writing-under-pressure-because-I’m-scared-to-death-of-disappointing-an-editor kind of writer.   Is there any other genre that you would love to try writing?  If so, what is it? I have a few chapters of a women’s fiction novel in the works. But I put it on the back burner because it’s got a more serious literary theme and so I’m worried it will ruin my reputation.   Do you always/ever see yourself as the heroine/hero when you write a story? What would be the fun if I didn’t?   Just for fun, I have a few personal questions,  Favorite 5 1)   Favorite Male Actor  - Sean Connery (what? I’ve seen re-runs of his old movies…) 2)  Favorite vehicle – 1963 Corvette Stingray 3)  Favorite way to relax – On the couch popping chocolates, reading a romantic thriller with an old romantic comedy movie on the TV in the background. (Or maybe I’m laying on my pink velvet divan…) 4)  Favorite ice cream - Pistachio 5)  Favorite outfit – Jeans and a UConn sweatshirt—Go UConn! And for a bonus:  If you could pick any place in the world to live, besides where you are now, where would it be?  (Of course, without the hindrance of jobs or money needed) Anywhere along the northeast U.S. coast—preferrably on a high bluff (concession to the recent hurricane!)   Where can our readers find you??  Email:  stephaniequeen@rocketmail.comTwitter: @StephanieQueenFacebook:  Stephanie QueenWebsite/blog: www.StephanieQueen.comAmazon author page: Stephanie Queen: http://www.amazon.com/Stephanie-Queen/e/B005NHDC4Q/ref=ntt_athr_dp_pel_1    Is there an upcoming or current release you would like to share with us today and where can we find it? THE HOT SHOTS will be available on November 16th on Amazon.com. This is book 2 of the romantic comedy mystery series, the Scotland Yard Exchange Program.  Book 1 of the series, THE THROWBACKS, is currently available wherever ebooks are sold.
Decorator Sophia Alano’s career gets side-tracked from the moment she meets hot shot Scotland Yard detective Chauncey Miller. On the run in Boston, Chauncey must now protect this spitfire Pixie from the madman out for revenge. But once he catches their would-be killer, how does he hold onto his Pixie decorator? Amazon link: ttp://www.amazon.com/dp/B0067DDUTW B&N link:  http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-throwbacks-stephanie-queen/1107379316?ean=2940013558946 Apple iBooks:  https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/the-throwbacks/id488522462?mt=11   Now before we let you leave us today, do you have a favorite recipe you'd like to share?  I like to cook and am always looking for new recipes to try and share.   Sunbeam Food Mixer Recipe – adapted and baked numerous times and eaten by Stephanie Queen   TWO-EGG CAKE  (“Short-Cut” Method)   Preparation :  Have shortening at room temperature. Assemble all ingredients and utensils needed. Grease two deep 8-inch layer cake pans and sprinkle with flour, shaking out excess. Preheat oven to baking temperature. Sift flour once before measuring. Sift into large bowl of Mixmaster: 2 cups sifted cake flour1 1/3 cups sugar2 ½ teaspoons double-acting baking powder or 3 ½ teaspoons fast-acting.¾ teaspoon salt Add: ½ cup shortening (soft)2/3 cup milk1 teaspoon vanilla Beat on No. 3 speed—2 minutes, scraping bowl while beating. Ashley Rae has a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Central Florida and resides with her precious 3 year old in gorgeous Sarasota, FL.  She leads weekend retreats for psychics, kids, and writers, and teaches workshops on using writing as a self-healing tool, developing intuition, and about The Incredible Vagina, which is simply the best title anyone has ever come up with for any class, ever. She is presently working on her second memoir, tentatively titled “Sentence Interrupted: Memoir of a Moody Mama.” Also a professional psychic, energy healer, and a Love-Your-Life Coach, there is plenty to check out on her website at http://AuthorAshleyRae.com.

Not My Mother: A Memoir
Genre: Memoir/Non-Fiction
Release Date: July 13, 2012
By the age of twelve, Ashley Rae had survived incest, child abuse, and the deaths of both her biological parents. Born to Baptists but raised by Buddhists, Rae found peace and healing on a Pagan spiritual path while obtaining her college degree and starting the career of her dreams.

Rae thought the hardships in her life were over...until she lost her job, started a new relationship, and found out she was pregnant with another man's child all in the same week. Terrified of cesarean surgery, Rae vowed to give birth to her child at home – but first, she had to find one.

Alternately haunting, humorous, and heart-warming, Not My Mother: A Memoir follows Rae over a nine-month quest to break her family's generational patternof abuse and victimhood in order to become for her unborn child the mother she had always wanted for herself.

Excerpt:
From the moment Dad rushed us through the dark living room, too quickly for me to see her body, I'd been looking for my mother.  Even after her funeral in Virginia, I kept looking for my mother.  She came to me in my dreams and told me it had all been a mistake, and she wasn't really dead at all.  I'd wake up and jump out of bed in a hurry to continue our conversation, then freeze and fold in half, hyperventilating as reality hit me.
At twenty-two, I had not yet explored how the violence that I couldn't remember witnessing affected my life and my relationships.  Ike died when I was five.  Mom hated him.  His mom loved him.  I, on the other hand, had never given myself permission to have feelings about this man who'd loved me and killed my mother. Until I saw him staring back at me through my mirror in the flickering light of a white candle.

One Night of Need byElla Jade 1Night Stand

Sexy Professor Dominick Alvarez has an infatuation with pretty college girls, but he adheres to his strict policy of never getting involved with his students. The years of tempting women throwing themselves at him have taken a toll on the handsome teacher. He wants to give in, so he requests an evening with a younger woman. Alexandria Petron has always had a thing for older men, but she has never indulged. After being left at the altar by her high school sweetheart, she decides men her own age aren't for her. She seeks Madame Evangeline's help in making her fantasy come true. She wants the experience and attention a more mature man can show her. One night of explosive passion ignites a burn that neither one saw coming. Will one encounter be enough to satisfy their secret cravings?   Excerpt: “I’ve been jittery all day, but my aunt helped me overcome those nerves.” “Your aunt?” “She referred me to Madame Eve. She said I needed tonight.” “Well, I’m glad she hooked you up, but why would such a beautiful girl need to use a service?” He didn’t mean to be nosy, but a woman who looked like her shouldn’t have a problem finding a date. “Oh, well I….” She twisted her finger around the ends of her pigtail. Now he wished he’d put a condom in his pocket. If she kept that up, they’d never make it to the bedroom. “I’ve had a rough time.” “I didn’t mean to pry. I’m curious.” “That’s okay. Can I ask you a question?” She chewed on her bottom lip. “Sure.” He fought the urge to bite her lip. “How old are you?” “Does it matter?” He closed the space between them on the small sofa. “You wanted an older man, didn’t you?” She nodded. “I’ll be forty-one in two weeks. You’re my birthday present to myself.” “Oh.” She swallowed hard. “Am I too old for you?” Please say no. “No.” She stared into his eyes. “Are you thirsty?” “Huh?” “Would you like some champagne?” As much as he wanted to kiss her, he needed to slow this show down. “You are old enough to drink, I hope.” He brushed her soft cheek, wondering what the rest of her felt like. “Is that your way of asking me how old I am?”   Buy Links:

I am so pleased to have R.M. Sotera with us today :)
Welcome R.M., can you tell us a little about yourself?  Sure.  I’m a wife, mom, school teacher and author.  I’m very OCD, and I love red licorice.
What did you want to be when you were growing up or did you always want to be a writer?  I’m one of the lucky people that is able to do the two things I love – teach high school and write romance novels.
When did you first start writing?  I first started writing seriously when I was given my first diary.  I realized that by writing down my thoughts and feelings like seemed easier to cope with at that stage in my life.  And I’ve been writing ever since.
What is a typical writing day like for you?  A typical day – I wake at 3 AM – Write from 3 to 4 AM – Get ready for work from 4 to 5 AM – Leave for work at 5 am and arrive at school at 5:45 AM – My first class is at 7 AM and the final one is finished at 1:16 PM.  I then grade papers and plan for the next few days.  I leave school between 2:30 and 2:45 PM – arriving home by 3:30 or so depending on the traffic.  Once I’m home I cook dinner, spend time with my family and then get ready for bed so that I can do the same procedure again the next day.
Do you have any specific routine you follow or specific items you need with you when you write?  Yes.  Depending on the scene I’m writing I need certain music.  I also need photographs of my characters which I have since I make a character bible before the writing begins.
What is your favorite part of writing?  Is there anything you don’t like about being a writer?  My favorite part of writing is how good I feel when the words flow and the scenes fall into place.  What I don’t like is that I don’t have the time that I’d like to have to write.  Also, I love co-writing with CR Moss.  While co-authoring isn’t for everyone, I’m lucky enough to have found a kindred writing spirit in CR Moss.  For us, when we’re writing the ideas flow and the characters in our books come alive.
What is your favorite length of book to write?  (Short story, novella, full length novel) Why?  I really don’t have a favorite.  I like writing different lengths.
How does your family feel about your writing and you being an author?  Well…that’s an interesting question.  My family loves that I write, but they don’t like the erotic content of my books.  I’m currently pursing a few projects that are mild and even YA. And will be written under my real name as opposed to a pen name.  What makes me sad is that I’m not able to share my writing with my students because of the content.
Is there a to-be-read waiting on your bedside table?  Yes.  Always.  And it keeps growing.

Just for fun, I have a few personal questions,
Favorite 5 1)  Favorite Holiday - Halloween 2) Favorite Drink – White Wine - Riesling
3) Favorite Author – Anne Rice/Jeanine Frost
4) Favorite Book – Gone With the Wind
5) Favorite Animal – Cat/Dog

And for a bonus:  What is a typical mood for you?  And is your mood different when you’re writing?  I’m a very silly person – quiet but silly.  My mood silliness does reflect in my writing in the form of humor.

Take me to the Turquoise Morning Press bookstore page!
Author Bio:  A romantic at heart, my love of storytelling began in childhood with the typical fairytales and my membership at age 10 to the Just for Girls Book Club. I grew up on classics and contemporary tales, but it wasn’t long before my tastes also matured as I ventured into my mother’s stash of Harlequins and Silhouettes, too.

Always an avid reader, I have found that some stories, the ones most near and dear, reside where only I can hear them—in my heart and my mind. For the majority of my life, those stories remained buried as I put my writing on the back burner to everything else.

There comes a point for writers though, where the desire, the necessity to write, overrides our own logic and reasoning. I couldn’t keep promising myself I would get around to it “someday” and for me, that realization came in 2006 when the emptiness ached so bad I had to fill it with the one thing my heart desired most. Writing all the stories locked within.

I’m so pleased to be able to share these stories with you now and in the years to come. I hope you’ll enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.

Born and raised in a small town in Central Kentucky, I now reside in the southern part of the state with my husband, stepson, daughter and my mischief-making cat named Miscellaneous, aka Mizzy.
I love hearing from others and welcome visitors at any of the many places I hang out:

I am thrilled to say w have C.R. Moss here today!!

Welcome C.R., can you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi! Thanks for having me here today. :) My name is Chris, and I write under the names C.R. Moss for erotic and mainstream romance and Casey Moss for mainstream dark fiction (horror, suspense, urban fantasy). My professional bio for C.R.: “An eccentric and eclectic writer, C.R. Moss pens stories for the mainstream and erotic romance markets, giving readers Worlds of Possibilities when it comes to love.” Basically I write stories from the light and sweet to the dark and deadly with varying degrees of sexual heat. The bio for my other persona: Casey Moss delves into the darker aspects of life in her writing, sometimes basing the stories on reality, sometimes on myth. No matter the path, her stories will take you on a journey from the light-hearted paranormal to dark things unspeakable. What waits around the corner? Come explore…

What did you want to be when you were growing up or did you always want to be a writer?
For a very brief period of time, I had ideas of becoming a teacher or an astronaut. Both occurred before the age of ten. But for the most part, I knew I wanted to write at a young age, as early as I learned to read. I was always cooking up stories to entertain myself in the rural area I lived in. Had to since there were no other kids around to play with. My defining moment came when I received an A in English in grade school. I was just shy of being a teenager when I had my ‘calling.’ Ever since then, most of my choices in life have revolved around my goal of becoming a full-time fiction writer and being published.

When did you first start writing?
Like I said above, the thought of writing for a living solidified when I was in middle school and received an A in English. I looked at the grade and that’s when my life was defined. I realized I could do it. From that point on, I put pen to paper to get my thoughts down and made sure to take classes appropriate to learning and honing the craft. I started with working on the school newspaper in middle school to creative writing classes, Drama and Teens Art Festivals in high school. My BA from Rutgers stems from a concentration of courses in Communications and English. I’ve even taken a couple of novel writing workshops where I was mentored one-on-one by a Kensington author. Now there are the classes at the conventions and conferences that I attend, which helps to keep me writing.

What is a typical writing day like for you?
First off I’ll check email, do some promotion tasks, then I’ll either work on a draft of a story via longhand, or transcribe what I’ve written in a notebook into the computer, or work on edits. It all depends upon where I’m at with a story or series and what’s in the pipeline of mine at my publishers.

Do you have any specific routine you follow or specific items you need with you when you write?
Not really. Though if I do get stuck, I try to relax and I’ll light some incense and/or take a bath to get in the right frame of mind to be creative. I like to have a thesaurus and the internet for research available when I write.

What is your favorite part of writing?  Is there anything you don’t like about being a writer?
For me the most interesting fact about writing is the research and learning new things.  I love to learn. And my favorite part is working for myself and being my own boss. The least interesting facets of writing/what I don’t like too much are deadlines and galleys.

What is your favorite length of book to write?  (Short story, novella, full length novel) Why?
I tend to lean more toward writing short stories and novellas, but I wouldn’t really say I have a favorite. I write the length the story calls for, and if that turns out to be a full length novel, then that’s fine with me. :)

How does your family feel about your writing and you being an author?
They’re happy I’m following my dreams. Granted a couple members don’t really like that I write erotic, but for the most part they’re good with what I’m doing.

Is there a to-be-read waiting on your bedside table?
I have a lot of TBR books. There are several on my kindle. I have a large shopping bag full of books a friend of mine gave me. Then there are a few piles of books in my office and my library that I want to read someday.

Just for fun, I have a few personal questions,
Favorite 5
1)  Favorite Holiday - Halloween
2) Favorite Drink – depending upon where I’m at and what I’m doing either Iced Tea, Baileys on ice, or a brown ale
3) Favorite Author – Anne Rice
4)     Favorite Book - Remembrance By Jude Deveraux
5) Favorite Animal - Bear

One last thing before we let you leave us today Chris, do you have a favorite recipe you'd like to share?  I like to cook and am always looking for new recipes to try and share but it's totally up to you.

In March of 2012, I was in San Antonio, TX and stayed at the Menger Hotel. The restaurant served an awesome tortilla soup. When I returned home, I did some research on the internet and found the recipe. :) It’s now a favorite of mine and hubby’s. The recipe below is from: http://www.americascuisine.com/texas/sanantonio/colonialdiningroom/colonialdiningroom/recipes.aspx

Author, author...

...read all about it !!

Today we have the fantabulous JoAnne Kenrick....  Born n bred Brit, JoAnne Kenrick grew up in a wee sea-side town in North Wales and has enjoyed a variety of vocations such as holistic healer, window dresser, and ghost tour guide. Having lived in Wales, England, and Scotland with her dear family, she finally escaped the dull British summers to reside in sunny Australia. After two years, they moved to the States where she endured three harsh winters in Minnesota. She now lives in North Carolina with her husband, two kids and two puddy cats. When they aren't demanding her attention, or jumping on her head, she strums away on the keys of her little laptop, creating worlds and adventures she could only ever dream of. Come across the pond and faraway....with JoAnne Kenrick! Find out more about JoAnne by visiting her website http://www.joannekenrick.com and get exclusive sneak peeks at her new and upcoming releases by signing up to her quarterly newsletter here http://tinyletter.com/joannekenrick Now let's learn a bit about how JoAnne writes :)
Do real life events find their way into your stories?
Quite often I find a lot of myself and my life makes it in my stories without me realizing I've done that. I do believe there is a lot of truth behind the saying that writing is great therapy and allows one to work through their feelings about stuff they didn't even realize bothered them.

Do you ever mimic family members or people you know when you choose characters?
No. Never. My characters grow organically…and usually have a little slice of JoAnne in them.

Do you find yourself going back to the same inspiration for each story or is it always something different?
Inspiration comes from the most unusual places. The Irish Kisses series, for instance grew from a short story I was going to write and turned into an Irish Pub book after watching In Burges while an invite to write the for 1NS series came in. Tales from the Coffin series, however, smashed into me while listening to a certain song. It was like a light bulb moment.

When do you write?  Early morning? During the day sometime or all day?  After the kids go to bed?
Morning! I'll get breakfast and the morning cup of Joe (always decaff), and once the kids have left for school and the husband is at work, I'll run around and clean up the morning mess and throw in a load of laundry. I then hit twitter and Facebook before writing until two-ish. Then the rest of my mummy duties are fulfilled. Quite often, I'll research and write up notes during the evening.

How do you feel about marketing your book?
It's apart of being an author. And although I can get grouchy because blog posts and trying to organize advertisements and book trailers take away from my writing time, I do enjoy the  reader/writer interaction doing my own promo allows.

What social sites do you feel work best for marketing?
This answer will be different for each author. Which ever the author feels most comfortable in, is the one that will work best for them. For me, it's Twitter and Facebook.

Do you like to pitch stories to your publisher or do you wait until you have written the story and have a final manuscript to turn in?
Mostly I write and submit the final manuscript, but Sweet Irish Kiss was presented as a pitch to the 1NS series editors before it was written.

Do you always/ever see yourself as the heroine/hero when you write a story?
No. But somehow a piece of me always end up embedded into my characters. I think most authors weave pieces of themselves in each of their characters.

Just for fun, I have a few personal questions,
Favorite 5 1)         Favorite Male Actor  - David Duchovny 2)         Favorite vehicle -  I'd love a black Impala…so I can pretend to be as cool as the Supernatural boys!

3)         Favorite way to relax - Meditation, reading, long hot bath

4)         Favorite ice cream - Chunky Monkey

5)         Favorite outfit - jeans and t-shirt or Boho type dress
And for a bonus:  If you could pick any place in the world to live, besides where you are now, where would it be?  (Of course, without the hindrance of jobs or money needed)
I'd go back to Australia in a shot, if money was not an issue and we didn't need to worry about finding work etc..  Cronulla, NSW. Right by the beach.

SHAMROCKED
Devlin Kinney is focused on his Irish Rock band, Shamrocked. Between that and tending bar at Bell's Irish Pub, he's rushed off his feet. Still, he's envious of Shaun who found his perfect woman through Madame Eve's exclusive agency, 1Night Stand.

Pushed for time, he follows his friend's lead and hopes to be matched with a woman ballsy enough to share in his fetish for things that go buzzzz.
At the event of the year for soap stars, Elizabeth Grant meets Devlin and mistakes him for her soon-to-be co-star on The East End. Before she has a chance to confess she's not his 1Night Stand as he seems to think, the silver-tongued smooth dancer proves irresistible. He seems perfect...for one night of pleasure. She's ready to play the role of her life!

Will his Irish charm and toys be enough to hold onto his leading lady, or will his heart be shamrocked into next week?
Excerpt: Surrounded by bridesmaids—the hottest guy in the place. His thick Irish brogue carried over the chattering wedding crowd and bad party songs. Swallowing any signs of stage fright, she checked her fake hair in a mirrored wall, plumped her boobs, and plastered on a smile before making a beeline for her drop-dead gorgeous, future co-star. She waded through the rough sea of pink-chiffoned up women, snapped out her arm, and took his hand like one of those shaking weight things. Thought she’d blown it until his mouth tilted up into a tempting smile. Dimples. Oh, my. He would be popular with the ladies. Might even help get her noticed by movie producers. Dating this hottie would get her on every front page known to the British public. “Liz.” She fought to keep focused on his face rather than his thick muscles and rhythmic movements. She couldn’t recall ever seeing a man who could make dancing to All Night Long by Lionel Ritchie so goddamned sexy. His jig was infectious—her arm swayed in beat with his, their hands still clasped together. “As in Elizabeth?” “Uh-huh.” The swarm of bridesmaids knitted their brows and pursed their lips. One even stamped her foot. Liz couldn’t help but turning on a sweet smile. “Buh-bye, ladies.”
