Publishing News

Hi guys, Thea here-

I have some publishing news I wanted to share!

I recently signed a new distribution deal to get print copies of my self-published work available to more bookstores and libraries, as well as distribution to Australia. Previously the paperback versions were only available through Amazon. At the moment this only affects the novellas and some German translations, but it will apply to my upcoming novels set in the Elder Races world as well. This does not affect e-books at all.

Long-time readers may notice that these new print copies are priced slightly higher than the Amazon print versions. I have tried to keep the prices as low for print books as possible, and in many cases I’m only making around 25 cents per book. Unfortunately self-publishing can be expensive for physical books, but I’m trying to meet the needs of fans who have lacked access to the novellas in a print format. You will still have access to the Amazon print versions- I’m not replacing anything, only adding to the choices.

No matter where you get your books- libraries, local bookstores, or online shopping- I appreciate your readership and will try to make my books easy for you to find.  :)

xoxo – Thea

Snippet

Hi guys, Thea here –

Here’s a snippet from a rough draft of a secret project. No, it doesn’t have anything to do with the Elder Races. This is something new, and I hope and believe it will become something wonderful in the end, but there’s a way to go until I get there. For now, I’m finding my way on a new path…. I’d love to know what you think. :)

And no, I’m not stopping work on the Elder Races! In fact, I’m in the final stages of brand new cover art that is frankly the best in the whole series, and I can’t wait to show it to you soon. For tonight, though, I’m sharing with you something totally new. As always, when I share rough draft snippets with you, this is subject to editing and revision.

xoxo Thea

The Escalade’s headlights lit the edges of the wet, burgeoning trees and foliage that hemmed the neighborhood streets. Black pressed on the other side of the trees, turning sights that had been long familiar strange, until it seemed as if she traveled down a secret tunnel.

Immense shapes made of shadows and leaves lurked in the trees. She thought she saw a wolf watching her, and a raven. Each one melted back into leaves and shadows as she drove past it.

Then she broke out of the foliage into an open area by the entrance to the interstate. A massive relief lifted her raw nerves, like she had traveled an unimaginable distance and crossed some kind of invisible border to a new country.

After a single glance back for the forest from which she had emerged, she turned onto the highway and drove into the city.

I’m forty years old, and I’m being born, she thought.
