Star Wars? says Lucas. No more films on my watch.
That sound you can hear breaking is the hearts of a million Star Wars fans. In this interview, George Lucas tells us that Star Wars, to coin Monty Python, is no more. He knows a dead parrot when he sees one, and he's looking at one right now.

Naomie Harris in 007 Skyfall
Why, Ms Harris, come in. I've been expecting you… in the new James Bond film. Yes, it's spy-fi Thursday, so here's some trailer/feature type action featuring the new, dare I say it, Bond Girl. Skyfall should be with us this October (2012), by the way.
Total Recall reboot… the new Bladerunner?
Here's the first big poster release for the Total Recall movie (reboot). Bladerunner and Total Recall might share a certain P.K. Dick as their author, but from the look of this poster – and the trailer we looked at recently – there are more than a few style similarities as well.

Lockout trailer
Here's the Lockout trailer – or Escape from New York Orbital as many wags have joked. Come on, you Oscar Wilde-level wits, it's a prison movie. In Space! I seem to recall there was a 2000AD strip about someone trying to get off an orbital prison for a while, but the series' name escapes me. Any reminders?
New Total Recall trailer (well, trailer for the trailer)
Hey, everyone seems to be doing these trailers for the trailers of scifi movies, now. This time it's the Total Recall reboot that gets the treatment. Looks a lot more CGI'd than the original (kind of Bladerunner'd). But then, I guess the original just needed Arnie's social skills and accent to get by.
The full Monty trailer is coming this Sunday. Something to look forward to.
Leonard Nimoy in new The Big Bang Theory
If you, like me, are a fan of The Big Bang Theory, you will be glad to see this clip of Leonard Nimoy guest starring in the current episode showing in the USA this week. Sadly, in the UK, this geeking moment will have to wait for the latest series to screen here… and for me, on Freeview, as I don't pay for cable.

Here's the first trailer for the seventh series of Doctor Who. It looks like they've gone all cowpunk on us, and that cyborg gunslinger is the spit of a Borg, no? Well, I'm sure great fun will be had by all.

Game of Thrones new series
Here's a trailer – supersized – for the new Game of Thrones TV series (over twenty minutes long). I'll be meeting George RR Martin soon at a party in his honour in London thrown by my publisher, HarperCollins. He's touring for the series. Should be interesting!
