Revolution by JJ Abrams.

Just seen the trailer here for JJ Abrams’ new TV series Revolution, and, going out on a limb, I reckon this could be as big as Lost was. The post-apocalypse all combustion engines/electricity-killed mystery backstory will be the hook (super-collider accident?), and the screwed-up, broken-up USA turned into one hideous Somalia-lite mess will chime well with the end-of-world economics vibe we’ve got going on at the moment.

That’s my prediction, anyway.

Here’s the full new trailer for The Amazing Spiderman film. Watching this, it looks like they’ve gone for a slightly tangential back story that jumps right into the action, rather than going for a full-on origins reboot like the first of the old movies. Way to go!
