stopping mental speculation
Devotee: He's asking can we stop mental speculation immediately.
Prabhupada: You must stop immediately. (laughter) Mental speculation is
simply nonsense.

Collecting Funds and Living Luxuriously
Question:
We see in our society (ISKCON) that sometimes devotees are forced to collect large sums of fund for temple in various festivals we celebrate in temple and for the normal functioning of the temple. The collected fund of the public is used by many devotees in temple to live luxurious lifestyle. Is that correct? When we say that devotees should remain detached from luxary, name, fame, and designation, where this kind of devotees will go?

Are you ready to initiate disciples?
Srila Prabhupada asked Aksayananda Maharaja, "Are you ready to initiate
disciples? I want to retire now." Aksayananda replied that with
Prabhupada's order came the ability to carry it out; therefore, he was
ready.

Tamala Krsna Maharaja speaks to Srila Prabhupada
Tamala Krsna: Everything we've done there is for you, Srila Prabhupada.
Actually, everything we've done in this movement is for you. We're so… We
don't know Krsna at all, Srila Prabhupada. We only know you.
Prabhupada: But I know you.
Subhaga: If you, Prabhupada, stay, you can give us so much encouragement,
simply your very presence.
Tamala Krsna: I remember when we were in Mayapur last, Srila Prabhupada,
before going to the Bombay pandal. Every morning we would take you upstairs,
and you would sit in the sun, and Bhavananda Maharaja would massage you for
two hours. Remember? You said you were getting your strength from that sun
and the massage. It's also very nice to take you around. Even as you say
it's wonderful how we do it, but we like to take you in any condition,
traveling.
Subhaga: (Bengali)
Tamala Krsna: Actually, Srila Prabhupada, the motive behind which we do
everything is to please you. You must be present to accept whatever
service… We are not very good servants, but whatever little we do, we do
for you. Without you being present, we would lose our very reason for
working hard and serving.

lamentable position of nondevotees
…once a person has obtained the human form of life, he is actually cheated
if he does not make preparations to go back home, back to Godhead. The
position of all nondevotees, who are not interested in going back to
Godhead, is very much lamentable, for the human form of life is meant for
executing devotional service and nothing else.

Sankirtan Devotees
Question:
Why is the term 'sankirtan devotees' so commonly used in ISKCON nowadays to address book/prasadam distributors? As I understood it from HDG Srila Prabhupada's books, we are all supposed to be sankirtan devotees, because we are part of Sri Caitanya's sankirtan mission. Not being a 'sankirtan devotee' is fatal in this respect. I looked through the Vedabase and Srila Prabhupada never used the term himself, which is kind of suspicious. Thank you very much for clarification.

Lord Siva prays to Lord Visnu
My dear Lord, I wish to see You exactly in the form that Your very dear
devotees worship. You have many other forms, but I wish to see Your form
that is especially liked by the devotees. Please be merciful upon me and
show me that form, for only that form worshiped by the devotees can
perfectly satisfy all the demands of the senses.
