Blog Tour Posting in a Muddle!!! :)

I have to say that she might be a wolf. He can't be. Or if he's newly turned, the tattoo has to go. So if you're thinking of joining a wolf pack, remember that. No tattoos. Just a reminder. Werewolves can't afford to wear tattoos. What if you get caught in you wolf coat and you've got a tattoo??? In Seduced by the Wolf, that is an issue.

The things werewolves have to be concerned about!

Okay, I really need another cup of hot green tea. Partly because I'm cold this morning. Partly because my updating my blog site with the tour date schedule isn't working out!!!

It's all backward, and to add links if I don't have the http link, it won't let me. I mean, I just want to put the date and the Title and I promise I'll come back and edit it with a link.

Growl.

My time is so limited before I go to work again, I REALLY don't need the aggravation. This is when I discover how unforgiving blogspot can be. My link dates are backward. But I can't easily move them around. Sooo, I will have to start over again. Later. Don't have time this morning. *sigh* Why can't I just copy and move them? Seems easy enough to me! But then I don't have the mind of a programmer! Although, I'm beginning to think I handled this differently before, because I know I didn't have links for everyone right away. Hmmm...

I was excited to get some fan comments on blogs this morning! Thanks to Lori, who is having a devil of a time getting my books at her local store. What is their problem?

http://escapebetweenthepages.blogspot.com/2010/11/waiting-on-wednesday-wolf-fever-by.html

And thanks to Melissa in Canada for her kind words!!!--http://community.indigo.ca/posts/Chapters-Fang-Club/group-52/598784.html

If you're from Canada, SASE won't work because I can't mail using a Canadian stamp. But my mother and all her family were from Canada, so I can't neglect my Canadian cousins. If you want bookmarks, just send me a Self Addressed Envelope, and I'll send some bookmarks.

Now, I've done my good deed for the day. I might even do one or two more today. After I have another cup of green tea!

Have a super Wednesday! Hump day!! Woohoo!

Here's the Breakout on Dental Insurance

The little grizzly bear is ready to ship!!! And after I packed him all up and put him in my car, I realized I'd forgotten to take his picture. :( This is the same bear, essentially, for the same lady who ordered the other for another of her grandsons, only the one I did this time she wanted to have a red, white, and blue bow, and it was really cute. :)

The truth about dental insurance--it's a real pain in the wallet!

I have to pay $2356 for the dental implant and my dental insurance covered a whopping $79 of it. Hmmm....I'll have to see how much I'm paying for my dental coverage. It might be worth it just to drop it. For the $286 tooth extraction, I believe they paid the same amount. Must be the magic dollar amount. They say that my limit is $1,000 a year. Hmm. $79 + $79 is not close to $1,000, methinks. And the tooth was cracked all the way through and was infected, so that definitely wasn't an optional like cosmetic thing or anything. Unless they thought I should have gotten a string and used a doorknob to do the job! It would have had to have been a chain and a truck yanking at that to pull it out! Even the oral surgeon had a time getting it out.

I believe all they paid for was partially for the x-ray in both cases, which was around $85.

The good news is it's not aching! It's still swollen and bruised and sore to touch, but otherwise, I don't feel any pain! Woohoo!!! Except for with the bill!

Don't you love this photo of a whole bundle of wolf pups at play. The two down are definitely working on being betas of the group. What do you think about the other three? Although the one who's off to the right side is not participating too much. The two to the left are definitely showing some spunky alpha tendencies!

If you were one of these wolves at play, personality-wise, which would you envision yourself to be?

I had a nice impromptu lunch with my daughter yesterday after a horribly hectic and awful morning. I wish I could do the same today!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Meeting Goals!

Argh, how did Monday get here so soon??? Working on Saturday did it!

I used to be obsessively goal-oriented. I guess I still am. LOL But I do try to have some fun too. Saturday night after work, I watched a movie and worked on one of the bear orders.

And Sunday afternoon, I watched another movie and worked on the other bear. It's done, except I don't have a ribbon for it, so need to buy it and the bear will be done.

This is my Teddy Roosevelt bear for Tayler who is playing in Brigadoon. :) Break a leg, Tayler!

I also met my The Wolf and the SEAL goal for the week, wrote 3 guest blogs for the blog tour coming up, and have 11 left to go. Nine of those I can't do until I have the interview questions. I wish I could have come up with the other two blogs today, but after a while, the brain dries up, and it's time to do something else.

So not too bad. I'm still writing some more on The Wolf and the SEAL and the words will count toward next week's goal.

I'm not sure where I'm going with it, like I always am with my stories. I'll begin to brainstorm, think about it obsessively constantly-- why, what, where, when, who, and then, the scenes will come. Sometimes at the end, it's like this mad writing frenzy and I can't get the words down fast enough. And I HATE interruptions at that time. Although with working, they can't be avoided.

But somehow, the story gets written, and then rewritten, and rewritten until I think it looks pretty darned good. And I write THE END.

I'm not there yet! I have 34,000 words to go! But it's definitely getting closer. :)

Are you obsessive about anything?

Heart of the Highland Wolf up for Preorders!

Here is a nice fall-looking picture of the wolf by Tom and sent to me by Donna. Pretty wolf, don't you think?

I talked to my coworkers about the trip Debbie and I hope to make, and Kevin wanted to go to. Well, it's still a girl's trip but now with a male mascot! He's getting his Masters in Library Science and is my daughter's age. So far it looks like we'll be going to Carlsbad Caverns, through Roswell, NM, and then up to Albuquerque to the wolf reserve. :) IF we can all get off at the same time!

Also, Heart of the Highland Wolf is up on Amazon for pre-orders! It feels real when the book is finally available.

http://www.amazon.com/Heart-Highland-Wolf-Terry-Spear/dp/1402245521/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1289064523&sr=1-1

I talked to my daughter about just going out after my book signing and having a special meal out for our early Thanksgiving feast, but she said no, that we need to have a dinner like we always do. I reminded her that my stove is out, my heat pump is out, and well, I didn't remind her my computer is out...but she is making the turkey dinner at her apartment now and we'll play games. Okay, works for me! Oh, and it's not that I can't afford to replace my oven---it's just that none will fit in the space so that the dishwasher can open...so I have to actually have a carpenter rebuild the space, put in a drop in oven, counter top stove top and redo all the counters. So the one little replacing the oven isn't going to be an easy job, or that inexpensive. I thought about just doing what my father had done, remove the oven handle on a new oven and put a knob on one end, but the counter top is coming apart in places and my folks burned it in a couple of spots...so, I might as well do it right. When I have the time and money.

I'm off to work on the newsletter, finished one of the bears and need to finish the other, have to get word count, and am writing the guest blog for the Australian site for the blog tour with 13 more interviews and blogs to write...so lots to do and not enough time to do all of it!

Do you ever feel that way???

Have a super Sunday!!!

Terry

Girl's Road Trip!

Thanks to Donna for sending this to me! And thanks to photographers like Tom Vezo who allow us to see such beautiful wolves in the wild!

A co-worker, friend and fan of mine brought back brochures for two wolf reserves in New Mexico, the state where she and her husband had just vacationed! So we're going next year sometime on a girl's road trip!!! We had gone to the one that's local and I'd gathered pictures and stories, but many were wolf dogs. Have to save up the vacation time and money, get an extra camera battery and disk, but she's got the GPS, and I'm driving, so we're ready to go! Have to check when would be the best time to go out there next year weatherwise. :)

I had so much fun with Nicole and her girlfriend in Scotland, this is the way of the future!!!

Hmm, I'll have to autograph books on the trip if I can make arrangements too!

Ever take a girl's road trip???

Have a happy Saturday! I'm off to work. *sigh*

The Vampire...In My Dreams in the News!

The Vampire....In My Dreams hit the news in Arts and Entertainment and was consequently picked up by other news sources, also was the featured photo spotlight on Wednesday!

"The Vampire..in My Dreams is a young adult book available from Samhain Publishing, one of my favorites in paranormal book publishing. It is an ebook that is available for $5.50 on Samhain's website here."
...
"This is a very good introduction for teens to the vampire world that is a little more based on the mythology of the vampire."

Published by Bertena VarneyBertena is an avid pop culture fan. She loves to read, watch television and movies, as well as write anything having to do with the media. She enjoys academic and fandom based writings and readings.

Thanks so much to Ms. Varney for the review!

Ironically, one of my teen fans dropped by to say hi while I was working and wanted to know when I would be writing the sequel, The Vampire...In My Nightmares.

Well, I want to write it, but my publisher said they're no longer taking YA. Sooo, not sure. I'd hate to write it and have no where to send it.

I'm also thinking of a teen werewolf series based on some of the teens in the adult series.

Just sent of A Ghost of a Chance of Love to my editor, a 19th Century ghostly time travel set in Waco and Salado. I love to visit Salado and even spoke with the management at the Stagecoach Inn where the story takes place some of the time. Some of the older homes are reportedly haunted and several of the references I made to robbers and the wildlife that used to live there are all true. Even the photographer who took the hero and heroine's picture was a real photographer at the time in Waco. So it was a work of the heart and I'm hoping it will find a home soon.

Speaking of works from the heart, the only problem with stopping a current work in progress to edit and older mss, is that I'm dying to get back to working on The Wolf and the SEAL, which is what I'm concentrating on today and Sunday. Saturday I work. Oh, and two bear orders I've got to finish up.

So without further adieu, I'm off to...oh-oh, I forgot my teapot's boiling...

Whew! Yeah, it was empty, but the good news is I have the electric kind that shut off automatically. I learned about them from my folks after they burned up two of theirs on the stove, having forgotten to check on them!!!

Oh, and the voting is still going for Heart of the Wolf. I'm in 3rd place and can't seem to make any headway. *sigh*

Okay, off to write! Have a super Friday! My Friday's the greatest because I'm home!!!

Here is Why I Have No Family at Thanksgiving Time!

Here is my son in training. Well, simulating training in his apt as my DIL forced him to take a picture. They're a cute couple and I love them! :) That's why I went to see them in Pensacola before he started training for a year.

I've been thinking about the "turkey dinner" tradition that we won't be having this year. I've got a book signing and am not working on the Saturday before, so maybe my daughter and her boyfriend and I will eat out someplace after the signing and if there is a movie out, see one. :)

Sounds like a fair substitute. I'll have turkey for Christmas. :)

Hmm, my son looks like he could be in Star Wars, one of the fighter pilots. :) Maybe Obi Wan Kenobi could give him some direction.

I still need votes for Heart of the Wolf in a new poll, if anyone hasn't voted and wants to! I'm in 3rd place--with 50 votes, but still need a whole lot to pass those in 1st and 2nd!

http://hea-reviews.blogspot.com/p/best-book-contest_30.html

Have a super Thursday! Tonight is my late night. And I have off Friday because I'm working on Saturday. Last Saturday was a nightmare for everyone. I hope this Saturday won't be as bad!

Loving Like a Wolf

Here are Finn and Meara, resting after a bad situation. I know neither look like a SEAL, but one is. :)

I'm off to cash management training this morning, if I can remember to go and not go straight to work by accident. Which means we'll be even shorter handed at work for the first part of the morning, and then I have to go back and count the money, which will make us shorter handed at work for more of the morning. We have a cash register we now use. Hmm, I think I made a mistake when I added in a nickle for a patron's not having it the day before yesterday. But at least if we are 5 cents off, I'll know why! Next up is credit card handling. argh.

*sigh*

And...I'm in pain. Okay, so enough is enough already!!!

But the good news is??? It's hump day!!! I have to work on Saturday and Thurs is a late night, so Friday I can work on the story.

Are you all getting ready for Thanksgiving? I'll be off for two days and no family to entertain. So I'm going to do what I do best!!! Write, and I'll be working on the blogs for the Dec part of the tour! And if my daughter ever gets my computer working, I might even play an RPG too!!

Who all are you inviting for Thanksgiving? Need an extra guest? :)

No Pain, No Gain

You remember that old saying? Well, the powers to be said that wasn't so. That if you are feeling pain, you need to stop.

I agree!!!! I was in so much pain again last night. But this morning, when I usually wake in pain around 4:30, I wasn't. For a while there I thought I wasn't going to ever be without it!

I'm taking a tylenol for the small amount I'm having now, but at least its 3 hours later and hopefully, it will just get better. My jaw is slightly green. Too late for Halloween, I told it. :)

And I still need votes for Heart of the Wolf in a new poll, if anyone wants to vote! I'm way behind!
http://hea-reviews.blogspot.com/p/best-book-contest_30.html

I won on Long and Short Reviews though for Wolf Fever!

Oh, and I was so disappointed. When my computer crashed, or before it did, I tried to copy all my latest story versions, but apparently for A Ghost of a Chance at Love, I got a couple of the older versions, and not the latest revised version. Waahhh! Okay, losing scenes I've just written is a major bummer. Losing a much freshly revised manuscript is another. I'm so irritated with myself. How could I do that!!!

And I don't have the time or inclination to try and rewrite the whole mss over or figure out the brilliant changes I made, so I am bummed.

Don't you hate that when you've worked really hard on something and it all dissolves before your eyes?

Sigh...

Oh, wait!!! I had saved some of my older files on Mozy backup, but have never accessed it since I ran out of room, and voila! There's, I believe, the latest version of the story!!! It was in 2008 and I thought I'd updated it since then, but some of the changes appear to be in this one so, woohoo!! At least it's much more updated than the 1007 version, and a 107K instead of 99K, so I think I've got it!

Mozy is a place where you can save your files for free. Thank you, Mozy!!!
Okay back to SEAL before I need to go to work. Have a super Tuesday!!!
