I'm in Australia--Tomorrow for Us is Today for Them!

Minnesota in the grip of a blizzard!
And here is a gray wolf who appears to be somewhere nearby!

Even though the northern part of the US looks like this, I'm in Australia right now on the other side of the world, or at least in spirit!!! Drop by and comment if you'd like! They've got the blog up and running, which for me would be tomorrow, but it's already tomorrow for Australia!

Long day at work, trying to cook up some chicken for dinner, and then it's off to working on The Wolf and the SEAL some more!
Hope you all have a great night tonight and for those on the other side of the world, a super Sunday!

Winter Wolf--The Wild World of Wolves by Terry Spear--on Nook More in Store

I have to work today, but I woke up to lots of fun comments--from fans wanting me to tell my publisher to hurry up and release Heart of the Highland Wolf because they had just finished Wolf Fever and loved it, to these great reviews, fun comments on RomFan, where I'm giving a free book, and a comment from one of my Fantasy, Futuristic and Paranormal RWA members that she saw "me" on More in Store on Nook!
So despite having to leave my cozy warm bed to go to work, I've had a great morning wake up!!!
Thoughts in Progress
WOLF FEVER is the perfect prescription for warming those cold reading nights (and days). If you're not a fan of werewolves, you will be by the end. Author Terry Spear creates werewolves that will captivate you with their honesty, love of family, loyalty, fun nature, and charming ways.
Seriously Reviewed
Review: As always, Terry Spear delivered a totally hot, snappy story that kept me from page one. But that really doesn't surprise me :) Thrilling and action packed, this book was filled with characters that just come alive and descriptions that brought the locations and events into living color for me.
I loved following the heroine, Carol, through the story...and Ryan? What can I say other than YUMM!!!!! This one rocked like no ones business and I couldn't get enough :)
Under MORE IN STORE on Nook:
The Wild World of Wolves by Terry Spear
Terry Spear's werewolf romances are beloved by paranormal fans everywhere. Part of what sets them apart from the pack (cue groans) is the in-depth research Ms. Spear does on the behavior of wolves in the wild - which she uses to craft werewolves unlike any others.
Tomorrow I'll be in AUSTRALIA!!! I wish! Actually, I'm excited to be at the Australian Romance Readers Blog and say high Down Under. And yes, I'll be bearing gifts!
Some of my Irish Hawthorns who ended up in Scotland, then Canada, then New Zealand, also were in Australia for a time.
Talk about an obstacle on the golf course!

Isn't this gorgeous? I'd definitely love to visit both Australia and New Zealand!

But in the meantime, *sigh*, I have to go to work!
Have a super Saturday!

Curious Wolves at Christmas Time!

Wolves are such curious creatures! Note the one in the background who hasn't gotten the courage to come any closer yet to inspect the Christmas tree?
Today I'm at RomFan Reviews For one lucky person, I'm giving away one of my books!!
Review: Wolf Fever by Terry Spear

Author: Terry Spear
ISBN: 9781402237522
Publisher: Sourcebooks
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Format: Paperback
Price: $7.99
Book six in her Werewolf Series Terry Spear delivers another smash hit again. Ryan had been burned before by someone saying they could see the future so determined to prove Carol a fraud he is afraid to admit the truth that he is wrong (typical man). Carol is strong and able to prevent the change something no turned werewolf has been able to do she has no idea how unique she is. The chemistry between Carol and Ryan is sizzling this book is a must read and for those who have not had the pleasure of Ms. Spears wolves don't worry they can be read as stand alones even though some secondary characters have their own stories not necessary to read them first
Annette gives this book

And look what came in the mailbox also this morning!!!

I was awarded the Versatile Blogger Award!! Thanks to:
Rosalie Lario
So I must share 7 things about me... hmmm.
1. Okay, I love medium rare meat. That's the wolf in me.
2. I love Haviland's thin mints. LOVE them. But they only have them during the Christmas/Thanksgiving holidays and are already out. :(
3. I love chocolate mint chip ice cream!
4. And fish is not my favorite food.
5. But shell fish: lobster, shrimp, and scallops are!
6. My favorite movie of late was The Prince of Persia. The almost kisses he kept giving the heroine were the greatest. :)
7. The movie I loved before that was Stardust. Note, I love quirky/serious (as in adventure, suspense, mystery and romance--you see??? Just like in the way I write!)
That's my 7 things. :) Thanks again to Rosalie!!!
And I'm passing the award on to:

It's Getting to Look a Lot Like a Wolf Christmas!

So it's not snowing around here, but I was wishing for a snowstorm and a snow day. And this would be how it would look! The problem with having a snow day is I would have to take vacation time for it...oh well.
Now these wolves probably were looking for a sunny sky on this wintry day! But together, they'll keep each other nice and warm!
I should be here at A Moment With Mystee today.
Wolf Fever is on Kindle now and it will be up on Nook as soon as B&N can reupload it. There was a glitch. Sorry about that!
Hope your holiday days are progressing nicely and you're thinking about your New Year's resolutions.
I don't make any. That way I don't disappoint myself at the end of the New Year. LOL! Are you making some resolutions for next year?
I have to say that you all are the greatest! Truly. When I mentioned I had a nightmare about orange poisonous snakes in the middle of the night, Donna researched what it could mean:
To see a snake or be bitten by one in your dream, signifies hidden fears and worries that are threatening you. Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. The snake may also be seen as phallic and thus symbolize dangerous and forbidden sexuality. HMM!!! (The hmm, is a Donna personalized note! :))
As a positive symbol, snakes represent transformation, knowledge and wisdom. It is indicative of self-renewal and positive changes.
Since I've been up, up, up~~what with having a working stove for the first time in a year, and nearly finished with The Wolf and the SEAL and feeling great about it, I will take the snake dream to mean transformation--werewolves--in my stories of course, taking control and getting things done, and good stuff!!!
And if HE'D been in my dream, the little old snake catcher him...it would definitely have been a dreamy dream and not a nightmare!

But if it wasn't enough that Donna found all this neat stuff to figure out my nightmare, Stephanie was sweet enough to research wolf ornaments since I couldn't find the two pictured on the tree to buy!

Here is another and I thought it was interesting that the painting was done inside the glass!

Thanks, ladies!! You are the greatest!

It's Time for a Little Wolf Christmas!
Aren't these lovely? No, they're not on my tree, but they'd definitely look right at home there!
But I had to share a little wolfish Christmas with you!
And speaking of wolfish Christmas's.... Here's another book giveaway! Please drop by and comment!
http://annavivian.blogspot.com/2010/12/guest-bloggiveaway-with-terry-spear.html
I'm working on a few Christmas cards this morning. I want to get them all done by Sunday, but you know how that is. Out of the blue, someone sent you one that you didn't expect. And you're in a mad scramble to send one back, feeling badly that you forgot them, and hoping they wouldn't realize the reason yours came after theirs was because theirs reminded you they existed.
Okay, not that that has EVER happened to me, mind you. But just saying...
:)
Wishing all of you a lovely holiday season that's unstressed and just plain fun!!! And if you get stressed, pick up a wolf book and cup of hot chocolate, but remember the whipped cream, or...hmmm some Irish creme would be good. And then... prop your feet up before a crackling fire stretched out on your favorite chair and--enjoy!
Woohoo, it's hump day! And Winning the Highlander's Heart and The Accidental Highland Hero are now available on Blackberries!!
Oh, oh, oh--Heart of the Wolf is back in the warehouse!! It is its third printing and it will soon be available for order or purchase!!!
Off to get ready for work. I'm at chapter 6 on The Wolf and the SEAL still smoothing it out!
Have a great Wednesday!!!

The counter top guy came, but he can't get to the work until Dec 16. Since I don't have any leave time, my daughter will babysit the house while they're doing the work. It'll take 2 days, but she'll be done with classes. :)
They're still working on my computer, went out and got a new power supply so maybe THAT was the problem. I'm hopeful I'll get it back by Christmas!!!
I had a horrible nightmare that woke me this morning. Or I should say, I had to wake myself out of it. Have you ever had a nightmare, and you're trying to turn it into something that works in your favor? That's what I was doing, trying to fix the difficulties, and finally woke myself up enough with the struggle, looked at the clock and figured it was better just getting up.
Until I realized it was 28 degrees. In the house. So very reluctantly, I left the bed to turn on the heat!!!
I still haven't made it to the kitchen to get a hot cup of tea. The journey would be too cold. Yet if I don't do it soon, I won't have time to have a cup before work.
Oh, and I have a New Year's Eve Party to go to!!! The first time in a hundred years. Truly!!! Nothing too wild....just something fun. :)
Hope you all are nice and toasty at home on this Tuesday!!! And hope the Scots and their Scotch are nice and warm too!!!
Have a great day!

I'm Going on a Cruise!!! Or...at Least Wolf Fever Is!!!
http://myoverstuffedbookshelf.blogspot.com/2010/12/guest-post-giveaway-with-author-terry.html
And I'm also here for another 12 Days of Christmas blog: http://sandrasookoo.wordpress.com/2010/12/06/12-days-of-christmas-blog-event-day-one-terry-spear/
And then, one of my Rebel Romance Writer critique partners, Randy Bruskrud was in her B&N looking for books to go on her cruise and voila!!! Looky what she found!
Not only is WOLF FEVER on the new books stand in her California B&N (which is a highly desirable position to be!) but look whose book is right above mine! JD Robb! So wow, I just had to share this from Randy.

But even more exciting for me was that I'm going on a cruise! Well, not me exactly! She bought WOLF FEVER and is taking it to read on the cruise. I told her she needs to find a hunky guy, have him lie down on a lounger and hold up the book to read and take a picture of him. He will be an overnight international webstar!

*sigh* So even if I can't go on the cruise, my book gets to go!

After all this excitement over WOLF FEVER being in the same book shelf with JD Robb, or at least her new release, and going on cruises, I must return to the hectic Monday at work!
But I did want to say: The Wolf and the SEAL is done!!! Got word count late last night, and I'm continuing to smooth and edit, but the story is done as far as being written!
Have a super Monday!

Werewolves in Portland--Oregon, that is!

Christy Gibbons Portland Romance Novel Examiner
Christy Gibbons did a lovely job on an interview of my werewolves and connection to the Portland area, so if you have a moment, you can stop by and see what was said!
http://www.examiner.com/romance-novel-in-portland/werewolves-portland
I've sent of Allure of the Wolf in the newsletter last night, so hopefully everyone is enjoying the strangely underlined story.
And I'm still 2300 words short on The Wolf and the SEAL, but hope to get it done today. I was working on my website, needed lots of fixing, and I hope it looks all right. I think some aspects look better. Not sure about all of it. I'm still working on it, but I need to get SEAL done, so no more goofing off!
:)
Okay, have you ever done a "find and replace" and afterward found what a mistake that was???
I sometimes reuse character names, by accident, and so then I thought, no problem, just do a find and replace, which wasn't the difficulty. I also have trouble with spelling names the same way throughout a document. So I have Allan and Allen. And I had to decide on one or the other. So I decide on Allan.
Fallen turns into FAllan. And there were lots of other instances where the find and replace ended up being a real mess. :)
The moral of the story is do a find and replace, but look at each instance where you're replacing the item. Oh, sure, I know to do this most often, but I just didn't realize it would cause any problems this time. Ha!
So have you had any fun find and replace snafus?
Have a super Sunday! I'm REALLY going to try and get The Wolf and the SEAL done today!

At Sizzling Hot Reviews!

I'm here, but didn't get any alerts so didn't know it was posted!
Sizzling Hot Book Reviews!
And I received this great review from Love, Romance, Passion!
Review: As a reader who's been following Spear's werewolf series, I'm declaring Wolf Fever the best novel…thus far. I held my breath quite a bit with book six. When Carol's grasping at straws searching for a cure, I felt the desperation. When she's kidnapped, I felt the horror. Terry Spear knows exactly how to extract emotions from her readers, draw them into the story, and how to keep them riveted until the last word's printed on the last page. Suffice to say, I've added it to my re-read list.
Favorite Scenes: Coincidentally, my favorite scenes involve windows. The first scene is when Carol peers into the forest, and spots a wolf watching her. Time stood still when I read it. Then, there's the scene where Ms. Wood is in a sunroom, its dark out, she looks out the window and gazes at the moon. Then she loses her tightly reigned in control. Love it! Oh, it bears repeating…love it!
Recommendations: I'm recommending Wolf Fever to anyone who enjoys reading romances. It was a delight to read; I'm sure you'll agree.
And I'm here with wolfish eye candy for eye candy week at Fierce Romance!
Plus, Wolf Fever has been mentioned at Tor.com! They're a popular fantasy and scifi publisher's site, so it was great to be listed there!I'm off to write in a whirlwind of writing, I hope, to finish up The Wolf and the SEAL.
Have a super terrific Saturday! Have plans???

I'm Late!!!

That's the problem with a late night with working and I had so many blog comments to make last night after I got off work for the blog tour and...the same with this morning, and I'm late posting today!
So this is me as I'm trying to do 1 of 2 interviews this morning while answering blog comments!
I have to say that the stove is in and working, but I need to still get the counter top guy to bring by samples and redo the counters.
But I can cook! And I can open the dishwasher too! And I didn't have to remove the stove handle to do so!!!
Such simple life pleasures!
Okay, back to the interview. Got to run to work soon and I wanted one more hot cup of tea before I return to the madhouse. And it's freezing here!!! But I'm sure not as cold as in MN!
At least it's Friday!!! And I have the WHOLE weekend off! Which means I've got to try and finish writing The Wolf and the SEAL! Have a super great day!
