Famous Flotation

We went up to the wooden boat show in Lake Arrowhead today. A beautiful drive in the mountains, gorgeous day. Tim treated us to amazing waffles at the famous Waffle Works.

The boat show was small but the boats, mostly Cris Crafts, were stunning. One in particular stood out. I liked it the best, but there was also a sign explaining its history. It was built in 1935 for a very rich man, who took both Ernest Hemingway and H. G. Wells for a spin in it! I wanted a ride sooooooo bad, but it was not to be.

Today's Work Tea

This morning I'm sampling Adagio's "Watson" from their Sherlock collection. It's a blend of Irish Breakfast, an Earl Grey green, and cinnamon bark. In a word, bracing! The IB is robust, the green a lovely undertone, and the cinnamon manages to be bold but without overpowering the other flavors. I'm sometimes leery of flavored teas, but when the blender (Cara!) gets it right, it's a delight and this one is! I almost put cream in it, then decided to drink it black. I recommend it. Thanks once again to wedschilde for introducing me to this line. :)
